Work on your vocals and you're good to go. Nice playing, great progressions
Luis Flores
>Always support you guys who still make CDs, they're my favorite form of physical music I'm glad to hear that. One guy told me that he would buy it if there was a cassette version. It seems cassette is more popular when it comes to underground music, so now I'm trying to figure the proportions out and print some covers and there will be a cassette version too in the foreseeable future. Does anyone know a good software to print/design such things with?
What kind of software do you use for editing CD artwork?
Michael Stewart
Damn, harsh. Yours is decent

I like the beat but there is very little variation happening in the track and the fact that it goes on for almost five minutes makes it felt. The vocal are also a bit to nasal and low-energy when stacked against the cool beat.
"Man as a Prism" is a meditation piece released some time ago.
It's a question without an answer, it's a statement without an introduction. Where are we? What roads were followed in order for us to get here? What experiences build us and which bind us into this crude human form? Can we break free? Will we know when we are free?
I've been making electronic music for some time now, 7 or 8 years on-and-off, and I'm currently preparing to release my latest album called 'Clinomania'. Promo tracks:
I make them with Gimp, and then there's a printing office 20 minutes away where I can print my shit on glossy paper, and they do it for me. All you need to know is the proportions. As for the CD disc itself, I draw on it.

This is so pleasant, I suggest you to find your own sound, put something in the music that makes people recognise you. In Neutral Milk Hotel's case it was mainly tape loops and distorted acoustic guitars
Anthony Morales
Looking for some unusual, atmospheric trap; anyone?
Robert Sullivan
Search for a template, I'm sure they have it for gimp as well. If not I can try to save the one I have for photoshop in a gimp-applicable format and send it to you.
I still remember about the tracks you sent me, had a crazy couple od weeks so I hadn't had the chance to work on them. I plan to have this weekend busy music making so I'll hit you up if I have something.
We're gonna be label mates! My () album is coming out next week.
>Why are you ending the project? Basically a combination of lack of satisfaction, bad feelings about making music and an emotional attachment to it gone wrong. Statement's on my Facebook page (link on BC) if you wish to read more about it.
Jeremiah Bailey
I understand. Often I've felt identical hence why the long pauses between records.
I'm really pushing this new album, submiting to blogs and websites for review, paying for great mastering, etc. If it won't budge I think I'm going to loose a good bit of hope and say fuck it. Just release stuff when I want without any promotion.
Last stand was awesome. Love the effects you threw in there to make it a bit more interesting. you nailed the atmosphere and nice clean tone of the guitar. Cool singing too. Nice job.
youtube.com/watch?v=CA1I473AfmA >someone tell me what genre you call this >thanks >luv ya just poured some coffee, i'm gonna listen to this thread and come back with some recs
>I plan to have this weekend busy music making so I'll hit you up if I have something. Great! Let me know if you have something clear in mind that you need me to record
I'm this guy, thanks for listening and replying - it's not a synth but it's a recording of toy piano, layered a few times with the layers being pitch shifted and faded in and out. I forgot what effects I used to get it to sound synth-y, but I remember that the original recording had a lot of background noise so I was just trying to eliminate that and the sound came out like this, a lot different. But that "unfolding effect was definitely what I was going for here, thank you
I took a listen to your album, decent chilled out sound and I especially liked the piano sample of Gymnopedie on Do You Wonder. Your vocals sit kind of dry on the mix, though, might consider lowering them a little bit and adding some kind of filter to blend them in with the rest of the tracks a little more.
Parker Williams
new artist, can I get some crit on my track and general tips on how to get my music out there?
That makes it even cooler. The most creative stuff is often accidental. And thanks for the critiques. Listening again I hear what you're saying. The vocals don't really carry the atmosphere of the instrumentation so well.

this is me. tried to give a thought on as many of you as i could
the music is something magic and you can tell the videos were edited with care. really great. would show to people irl you got a good voice for this kind of thing and i appreciated the fluttering drum noise always curious about people's production methods on this kind of stuff. do you use a daw for this? pretty powerful noise really lofi, really chill, i fw this kind of stuff. high asmr factor on these beats very new age, but with a BIG sound. maybe i will put this on and meditate later. healing. if i said something was "really lofi" before i take it back. this is really lofi. real neighbor shit right here keep it up. spirit shows through. tasteful and dope. at times *very* ambient. i really feel it when the beats are going. this rocks. lofi western and chill pardner this guy got a talent for dreamy synth compositions. a full experience that keeps you feeling the beat but you know you're not far from home. high energy coziness re: the ai thing, i've long dreamt of such a bot. please keep us updated. great wall im legit impressed you made this on your own in your bedroom. honestly sounds pretty bangin. the beat is dope, i would maybe turn down the hats a little tiny bit. dont take your life pls and i hope you feel better love the plucks. also i like the bass sound you got whomping around back there. now i wanna hear some rap on it more healing new agey ambiance. pleasant af to be quite honest with ya listen, you are a true g, but see how your waveform has a flattop? that's cause everything is too loud and makes it distorted (especially with more than laptop speakers). i like your flow and some good lines in there but you must fix this technical problem sooner the better
Dominic Young
hey boys, ive been trying to make more music lately and ive been happy with the shit im doing right now versus my songs a year ago. will come thru with feedback and follows after i take a quick poop
dude it really fucking is. i dont wanna stop growing the only thing i really care about in life currently. thank you for the feedback as well!
you have a great voice for what you're trying to do. did you make the instrumental or did you find it somewhere? the number one glaring thing i gotta address is you sound WAY better/clearer/less overbearing in the second part of the song. turn yourself down a little, add a bit of reverb to your parts and a bit of EQ'ing goes a long way. as for getting yourself out there, apply yourself! these threads are a great start.
what a perplexing set of tracks! if 30 minutes is all you need, i cant bear to think about if you had all the time in the world for one whole song. i especially love underwater cosmos.
this is really good. i can see why aforementioned below mentioned "screechy" but im still enjoying this a great deal. nothing too crazy to fix. great job!
i can easily see this in an adult swim advert. its enthralling and gripping. you ended up with something pretty damn neat dude.
effective cause is a gorgeous track. instantly caught my attn when the song started. your EP is a sign to me; ive been wanting to indulge in something that sounds like it for a while now and its hitting all the right spots.

I made the instrumental on both parts. Thanks for the tips about my voice on there, I'll fix it up. I honestly thought my voice would be too weird for what I was trying to do haha.
Brandon Phillips
that is a good ass instrumental dude. i strongly feel like i can see you on the airwaves in due time with your kind of sound.

it's actually really pleasant to spend half an hour or so listening to unfamiliar music knowing you can give direct feedback to the artist. encourage others to try it
