I'm done. Fuck this. I'm leaving this company that has fired 4 IT people and hired three management people. I can't get shit done, the constant micromanagement, the constant pushing and shoving.

Sad thing is, i'm really interested in my job and liked what i did in this company for the last 5 years.

New CEO. Three month later the first dude go. Some are fired. We get problems. They hire more management!

What are my last words? How do i go? Any last things i should do?

shit on ur CEO's desk

Don't do shit and burn bridges, just be polite and leave.
Because:
1. You always meet twice in life
2. Other HR will know what happened and you will get problems finding another job.

Sounds like you really haven't tried your best. You sound like a pretty good quitter. Stick with your strong points I guess

Not harsh enough, you can do better. Show me what you got! SHOW ME!

Fuck this rational arsehole. I want to fuck shit up one last time!

You can't replace techies with management folk and hope to solve technical problems better. This is, in core, a MSP for Unix and Linux. Yet they fired their talent and replaced them with management.

This ship is sinking, i'll leave and want to shit fuck up.

>Any last things i should do?
delete prod

BTW, this company is part of a larger structure that has a name ending in cle. Insiders will know.

That's something i actually could do. It wouldn't cripple them for long, but cause mayor mayham for a few weeks.

No doubt they would sue the shit out of me. I would die a poor man, an outcast, jaded and ignored by society. Sounds like it would be worth it!

>is part of a larger structure that has a name ending in cle.
well then, in that case do nothing because as much as the "cle" company is hated, their legal team is larger than their management / development departments combined. So if you do anything, a rain of shit will come down on your head. Unless you don't care about legal trouble, in which case, delete prod, become IT hero.

Just find a new job and leave. 5 years is more than enough to see how much you can progress in single job. Micromanagement sucks but then again, it might be just your own attitude, or then again, it might be real. Don't waste your time. You should always think about leaving after 3 year mark anyway because you'll know by then if it's going anywhere or not.

>this company is part of a larger structure that has a name ending in cle.

>5 years is more than enough to see how much you can progress in single job

Sounds strange, but i really liked my position. It was like one detective story after another, finding the rarest of bugs. This really was the most exiting hunt i was ever on, and it went on for several years. Shit was cash, i never wanted to progress into management.

fsck yea, mang!

I guess i'll go full pic related and open me up a patreon. Fuck working for the man.

Thing with companies is that they change sometimes very quickly. I have worked for over five years in a position and I ended up being very isolated and unknown by anyone. It's a weird feeling to be a stranger in place where you have worked for long time. Just quit and get a new job. You'll get salary raise as well. Just make a good decision though.

>Just quit and get a new job.

That much is clear. But i don't want to fizzle out. I want to go with a bang or my wife or my mistress or my side-gf will never hold eyecontact again.

>I ended up being very isolated and unknown by anyone.

How does that happen?

>Shit was cash, i never wanted to progress into management.
This is only one of the possible career paths. You can also try different things, learn new stuff. Done 3 years of Jave EE? Let's switch to C++, this will be refreshing. Bored of programming? Go operations, learn how to manage and maintain environments. etc. Of course that means you'll never reach top-level salary because you will always be regular at most, but it will never get boring either.
Or you can just become specialist in one very narrow field, go through junior -> regular -> senior -> tech lead -> guru in one thing. The pay is great (basically you dictate how much they have to pay you - they need you, not the other way around) but you have to travel a lot (because usually single company does not need such specialist for more than few months).

Staying in big multicultural company which has huge turnover. Eventually my colleagues left and were replaced with meat for the meat grinder. Also management changed there so quickly that at some point it was useless to get to know anyone because I knew that after 6 months they would be gone already.
In the end it was used as a middle management to boost their careers so that doesn't even sound very nice place to work..

tldr - stay long in place with huge turnover.

i'm drunk, multicultural that's shit but GLOBAL / GLOBALIST

LOL. I'm a software dev that works for a company that uses an Oracle stack. Oracle makes the most garbage software know to man. Their DB is literally the only thing that they are good at, everything else is pure shit.

And whoever made ADF and JDeveloper needs to get raped by a pack of niggers and then shot in the back of the head.

To think about it. Operating systems and everything surrounding them have become so bloated and filled with useless libraries and apis that developing quality code takes enormous skill. That combined with lot of untalented people and pressure for deadlines because of the profit margins will lead eventually into a future where very few can actually code anymore. Quality of software declines and is declining but it doesn't look this way because it's been replaced with useless bloat and 'features'.

Be a sub contractor for IT stuff on the field nation and work market platforms. I use to do IT Tier II for Kellogg's and it was cancer. I started to do my own thing on the side and loved it, so I quit and now I'm a 1099 and I made 95k last year, but paid a good amount in taxes, but saved all my receipts and stuff so I got some back. I do everything from stupid bullshit stuff like server HDD swaps, to major projects and total conversions. I made a TON running cable and surcharging for the cable. These companies just piss money away like it's nothing and they don't give 2 fucks.

>Their DB is literally the only thing that they are good at, everything else is pure shit.
eh, Weblogic isn't that bad either, but yeah, Oracle DB is top tier (especially for large systems, no other database can really compete) and everything else is shit.

Oh yeah, Weblogic. That server that constantly crashes due to memory leaks. How can I forget that beauty.

Today has been few good threads on 4chins. What has happened? Usually it's hard to find anything but today, across all boards something is different. Is reddit here???

That's some nerd shit right there

You know how it is. Fills me with hope.

Not Unix tho. Almost 50 years, still clean as fuck. Granted, there is some code for downwards compatibility.

BTW, my job was to look for rare compiler/cpu microcode clashes. Fuckin deep, my dude, fuckin deep. I doubt i can ever crawl that deep into the rabbit hole again and get paid for it.

Fuck off shitstain. This is my domain! Know ZX81 asm, or die!

Do you have coding socks s-senpai?

This... will help you... wear these...

Retard. Take care of yourself.

The whole purpose of management or authority is a position where you don't have to be accountable if you don't want to.

You won't get revenge, you'll fuck yourself.

>BTW, this company is part of a larger structure that has a name ending in cle.

I think it's Cocksicle.

cause some mild subtle havoc

You sound like a computer illiterate overpaid assistant manager

Kek

Just go work as a comp sec engineer for someone like Fortinet or something if you like chasing down bugs and expoits OP. Plus you go back to working in sexy as fuck Linux.

do the ol' shitting on desk thing

Mwuahaha

I guess so.

I miself am more a SysV-forrealz guy, but i take loonix. Plenty of deep bugs to chase.

As i said, i guess i'll go pic related and just do what i find interesting. Have plenty of dough, so i can live from that fat for 20 odd years i guess.

Not harsh enough. HIT ME HARDER!

Dump larry's emails to wikileaks.

>Any last things i should do?
delete Trumps twitter account

You are not charge, nobody cares how you would have done things differently. Somebody higher up has a plan and you're not in on it, and don't expect to be. As in life, fail to adapt to the constant changes and you will die. The first rule of having a corporate job: don't care.

Correction, care just enough to not get fired.

>Somebody higher up has a plan and you're not in on it
There is no plan. It's just a management circlejerk at that point. As soon as Corporate will see it, they have to correct. But they don't yet. So the company sheds valuable engineers. Those that stay are worthless and spineless.

Wish i could. That would be epic. Not that i have seen them, but i asume there is some juicy stuff in there.
