OFFICIAL SUICIDE THREAD FOR LAKERS FANS

Get the fuck in here and shitpost guys. We're fucking cooked.

I want to fucking killmyself.

Someone explain their pick situation. How many picks are at stake and what are the conditions?

BASED LAKERS
t. Suns fan

What could RC Buford be possibly getting from Phoenix for such a giftwrapped cucking?

>lose out on markelle fultz, lonzo ball, or josh jackson because tyler ennis has a career night

Sixers own 2017 Lakers pick, top 3 protected. If not given this year, then unprotected 2018 will be given. If the Sixers get that pick this year, then 2019 Magic gets Lakers 1st outright. If not, Lakers give Magic a 2nd this year and next year. All thanks to that wonderful Dwight multi-team trade.

Naaaaaaahhhhhh

kek

Right now the Lakers have 50% of getting fucked for the next 10 years

Silver won't let that happen, so now is the time to shitpost

>lakers beat the spurs

AHAHHAHAHA BASED POP JUST BTFO THE SHANTY TOWN OF LA FOR THE NEXT DECADE

XDDD thanks Pop

Based Dwight Howard single-handedly destroyed the Lakers franchise.

You mean Kobe
I mean seriously who the fuck would want to play with him after running Shaq out of town?

any- and every-one who played on kobe's 2 additional championship campaigns?

sure kobe might be a colossal asshole but results are results

At least you're not the Celtics.

I would love it if a guy like Magic Johnson was running the show, but instead we have that faggot Danny Ainge putting stars on the trade block and then not trading for superstars when they're available.

Ainge know`s they can`t compete with Lebron, he is just killing time until Lebron get's old

The Celtics were dominating LeBron with the big 3 but the shit organization was treating Ray Allen like shit so he left to save LeBitches career as a fuck you.

He will trade Thomas for more picks probably.

76ers fan here praying for the Lakers to draw the 4th pick. LOL.

>mfw engineer yet can't understand any of this

Casual basketball fan here. What the fuck happened? Weren't these guys GOAT at one point?

The owner died and left his children in charge

...

It's confusing, but it just comes down to the fact the Lakers are mostly fucked pick-wise for the next three years kek

...

Lakers gave their pick away in a complex trade deal a few years ago. However, they placed protections on it. Meaning they get to keep their pick if they end in the bottom-3 worst teams. (In American sports, the worst teams get the top picks of college talent).

However, to discourage teams losing on purpose (tanking), the league implemented a lottery amongst the 14 worst teams, rather than a draft by worst record. The worse the teams, the greater the odds of getting a top pick, but anything can technically happen.

By sheer coincidence, the Lakers, who are terrible, beat a very good team last night (the Spurs). This is terrible news for Lakers fans because that win dramatically decreased the Lakers lottery percentages, and the Lakers have to be in the bottom three to keep their pick. The talent coming out of college this year is supposed to be unprecedented as there are at least 5 or so players projected to be superstars.

But like I said. Since the draft is a lottery, anything can happen and the Lakers can land anywhere, but the percentages are now only 55% or so that they stay in the bottom three and keep their pick.

If Lakers fall out of the top 3, they lose this year's pick and 2019's pick. Otherwise, they lose next year's pick.

After the trade for Chris Paul was blocked, they mortgaged their future draft picks on Dwight and Steve Nash. Dwight was coming off of back surgery and was a shell of himself. Nash was just too old to go anymore. Kobe quickly got too old as well and then tore his achilles and never recovered. Then their owner died and was replaced by his kids who weren't as good as him combined.

I legitimately think this is possibly what happened. Pop has to fucking hate the Lakers by now, right? But you'd expect that with a guy like him his attempts at revenge wouldn't be overt. They'd be subtle.
