Chthe'ilist was got tier last year, try also Howls of Ebb if you haven't already
been planning to, thanks for reminding me.
also this one
>blackened Mastodon
Plus Ulcerate, A.M.S.G.
I was bored. Made this.
Why is he looking at him like that?
If all goes well, I'm seeing Ulcerate doing Shrines in two months.
That OP album was neat, I also liked last year's Mare Cognitum. My favorite atmoshit along side Darkspace.
change terminal to tourminal and it's perfect
IMO their best alongside Phobos Monolith. Also, really good album from last year
please stop embarassing yourself
didn't hear this one, thanks for the recc.
Not space related or similar to before mentioned albums, but I was also fond of Fyrnask's last year's release Forn. It's atmoshit, but had a solid occult vibe going for it and when it isn't ambient, it's p good.
Godspeed you, user
I'm not the one who listens to Bolzer
but in all seriousness, who's the blackened mastodon
Wrong pic
Isn't that a folk band though? Why are they trying to look black?
Irkallian Oracle write remarkably boring music. You listen to them and think wow, this could get really good, and then it's disappointing as fuck
because he was a good friend
Are there any good metal PC games? I want guitar hero so bad but I don't have a console
Painkiller
I usually play broforce while blasting black/thrash
this is shit
KINGDOM
First Wave= Best Wave
New Septic Flesh was a surprising return to form after Titan. Not quite up there with The Great Mass or their early albums, but pretty strong.
I do wonder how long they can keep up their symphonic phase though. They're in danger of getting formulaic.
FUCKING
Deathcrush isn't first wave you fuck
this sounds like it was made 25 years ago, but apparently it's from 2016
I love it
Oath' cunt
youtube.com
It's cool when some Ukrainian fellows can dominate a genre that is overwhelmingly American
Not him but it came out in the 1980s and was heavily influenced by first wave black metal and early thrash metal
GONE
A really good song desu.
Seven Thunders roar is pretty good, but a bit of a snoozer in parts. It's too long for the ideas they put forward.
Ted Nugent
I don't like SW too much but his side on this split is really fucking good.
Yes it is. It was released in 87 and sounds nothing like second wave black metal. Unless you are suggesting that it isn't black metal at all.
>blackies trying to appropiate based thrash metal
if Ketzer hadn't put out Starless last year Bolzer would've been the kings of JUST in 2016
Damn this is incredibly simmilar to tool maybe even too much. Its great tho
Also what genre are you speaking of?
>Incredibly similar to Tool
>Doesn't know what stoner doom is
are you retarded
Dont mind me i'm fucking stupid
Post rap metal

edgy 13yo core, but in a good way
how much is too much
does liking pic related make me a nu-male
Like, his side of that split is the only thing I really like from him, much.
no, but the fact that you asked does
oh darn
:(
More viking/pagan than folk really. So it has more roots in black metal.
Riffs
>shit cover
>shit title
>shit band name
wow user must be a really good record
it's awful but it's getting its dick sucked constantly.
>hardcore """"""""""legends"""""""""""""
Post week faggots
post, weak faggots
when did you realize blessed are the sick is the best morbid angel album
I am new here can someone explain to me what does this mean?
Would it be a good idea to mix synthwave with black metal? I'll probably try the combination next year when I start with my one man band project.
it's one of my favorites, but Gateways and Covenant are better.
Lastfm circlejerk
people post what they've listened to throughout the week and they rate others, sometimes even discuss and recommend shit, which was more common previously.
+ Atrocity
+ Cynic
+ Atheist
+ Thorns
+ Stargazer
Thanks.
I actually expected "t.ourist"
banter is part of this general's charm, don't take 99% posts you see at face value, it's the internet after all.
you could download Guitar Hero 3 on pc somehwere or get Phase Shift for pc it has tons of custom charts and stuff around. You'd need a wireless xbox adapter for windows to use the instruments on pc if you don't have wired ones though.
Phase Shift:

As a warning a lot of the links use ZippyShare (all of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero ones at least) which in the past has opened a popup that triggered my antivirus so watch out for that. You might also dislike the Phase Shift UI so you can find themes here:
dwsk.proboards.com
to make it look like any of the Rock Band or Guitar Hero games. Also I'm pretty sure all of the songs in the links I posted should work with Guitar Hero 3.
youtube.com
try it
if it's shit, keep trying until it's not shit
will post the demo here after I'm done
Right before I listened to Gateways and realized I was wrong.
the riffs there are fantastic
cool
it better not be shit
+ Stargazer, Evocation
You heard the new Stargazer album?
+Decapitated and Rivers of Nihil
I haven't, but I'll listen to it tomorrow.
Have you heard Zealtory's 2016 release? You might dig it.
what's the most niche fusion of metal? we have space, egyptian, various types of folk, samurai, mongolian, country, and a ton of others.
lyrics based "genres" don't count
first of all I didn't say genre I said fusion. and secondly, all the types I listed have distinctive sounds that don't entirely rely on lyrical themes and you would be able to distinguish between them even if you removed the singing completely.
Lads how many /metal/ threads have you been in a row (without missing a single one) right now? What's your record? Just genuinely curious
around 100
No; will check it out
I think I listened to the first half of The Charnel Expanse and found it somewhat comfy
Have you heard this year's Artificial Brain and Phrenelith album? The former is good tech death, the latter is osdm worship, both fine releases that came few months ago. Check those out, too, if you already haven't my dude.
can you guys rec me metal with really powerful screams/shrieks being drowned out by the guitars?
Abigor - Quintessence
maybe I should just go to a concert alone and try to autistically make some friends
Kvist - For Kunsten something
You can talk to people pre-gig, I had good convos like that and met some nice people I keep in touch with.
>maybe I should just go to a concert alone
yes
>and try to autistically make some friends
just get drunk
go to a concert alone and just enjoy the show
>getting drunk at gigs
not that guy, but fuck no. it doesn't enhance the experience, especially if the band is good and there's a chance I'll piss my pants.
inscrutable satanic meowing
youtube.com
can someone tell me what's supposed to be so great/groundbreaking about this thing again???
I said drunk, not shitfaced
but yeah it doesn't enhance the experience for fast subgenres
drunk doom is fun
it's baby's first Icelandic dissoshit and mostly praised by tourists
with that out of the way, it's good, but not THAT good.
No idea, I didn't like it either.
>has to drink poison to enjoy live music
Name ? anyone ?
that's pretty metal
Horrendous - Anareta
Next time use Google image search.
Ebu Gogojiktor - Wrong Tourist to Cuck with (feat. Björn Strid and Christian Alvestam on vocals, Lucas Mann and Jeff Loomis on guitar and produced by Dan Swanö and Steven Wilson)
Fenriz creamed his pants on this one, thoughts?
