To answer my own question, I spent a couple hundred dollars on my DAW as well as some synths like FM8. Also my mic and audio interface cost a bit too. I've gotten heaps of value out of it and I don't regret a single penny. If I had more money I would probably spend it on session musicians and vocalists.
yet it all sounds like a fucking asperger's chiptune. grow up and find some help

You mean money spent on the recording and creative process, or putting the finished material on Spotify? Zero. As for my instruments, not a lot considering I own a digital synth, 2 guitars, an ukulele, a fuckton of accessories, pedals, cables, etc, my whole music gear costed about 800 dollars in total, strings, picks everything included
great
a bit too bland for me

This relentlessly sunny indie rock vibe doesn't sit well with me, but that's just my taste. Sounds great overall, keep doing you.

A couple hundred, maybe even thousands on equipment.
Oh I really like this
there's some gems on there but damn some of that noise stuff is fucking garbage
AP Macroeconomics here. I recently spent about $200 on a USB interface for my microphone. That's about how much I've spent overall, everything else was secondhand.
>how much money have you spent on your music
Around 0$, I once bought a microkorg for shit and giggles but I haven't used it much so it doesn't count imo
an essential piece of kit in my oppinion
I don't remember USB interfaces being that expensive
It really is important though
This
i can't stop listening to more ? sugar's eternal gratitude. so sad they decided to end with that album :(

the only thing i specifically bought for my music was a loop pedal that cost me $85. everything else i already had or downloaded the DAWs for free
no i do not want to spend more money or any money in fact. i'd rather spend my money on books or coffee these days.

I also bought a mic cord with it and that's an estimate. Also came with studio one, I'd say it was fairly worth it overall.
