The current political climate is very worrying. The spread of ideas is now being substancially done through social medias, with the notion of social acceptance as main reason, leading to more and more political correctness, shutting down any possibility of debate, as any deviant opinion about a social cause is seen as offensive. This climate is sadly reflecting in school programs, where we do not teach the right means to different ends (tools to understand and process information, whatever reality it really hides) but the end we want to see of it. This obviously is very detrimental to the search of the truth and political opinion plurality needed in democracies. The web allow the creation of political echo chambers where extremism finds its nest and spreads. From this originates the disappearance of any moral or axiomatic common ground between ideologies, increasing even further the mutual hatred and lack of debate. Relativism is getting triumphant over certitude, which is a necessity for equilibrium. The balance between progressivism and conservatism, which was the main motor on societies throughout centuries is broken in favor of extreme progressivism; everything is being questioned, every founding principle is being disrespected. The West is plunging into total societal chaos.
