Some have speculated this is because a liberal Democrat president would ban fracking for environmental reasons, so the market would not be flooded with fossil fuel, and the Saudis could continue to control the price of oil. It's been considered that the Saudi-driven price crash was, in part, to suppress competition from fracking, which is unprofitable below a certain price level, something like $60-$80/bbl. Also, Hillary is more likely to play interventionist in the Middle East and keep e.g. Syrian and Iranian oil out of the world market, or capture it for Saudi interests.
