R.I.P. Scoliosis meme

*sniff* its not dead

Me. But it's fairly mild. Diagnosed at 12, now 41. Usually no problem, but about once every two months I'll tweak something and be in pain for 3 or 4 days. I do my best not to lift anything over 25 kilos, as that seems to be close to my threshold. Anything over that and I'm looking at a week or so of standing lopsided and hurting like a mofo.

Me, and I have muscle spasms, How I can solve this problem anons?

Me, not that badly though. My mom is a fysiotherapist so she prevented it from getting too bad.

>fysiotherapist

Well kek'd

mild lumbar reporting in

I do, My spine corrected itself through good posture by about ten centimeters. I actually took my last trip to the doc for it two days ago

That's some scoliosis right there in pic related

Last as in most recent or last as in never going back?

Last as in never going back. I'm really glad too because its an 8 hour trip from where I live to the specialist that I saw

F

T-that's some s-scoliosis right there

If you have scoliosis you should consider doing breathing exercises to relax/spasm your stomach as you may have a muscular imbalance and undiagnosed depression

8 hours one way or round trip?

Ankylosing spondylitis

What's the depression link?

I'm not an expert but my mild scoliosis was the result of bad hip alignment which made it seem like one leg was shorter than the other. I fixed my hip with stretching etc and removed the inlays from my shoes, can finally lift without problems. I think possibly many cases of (mild) scoliosis originate from the hip and are thus relatively easy to fix.

>scoliosis
why is this a meme now?

Me too: scoliosis + muscle spasms
Sometimes the muscles on my spine just get "stuck" after sitting/lying/standing too long in the same position.
Try to move as much as possible (active sitting)
Smoking a good joint helps me relax the muscles and stops the pain and helps me to sleep better.
Also: minimum one trip/month to the osteopath/chiropractor...
