I don't really do the battle frontier or its later incarnations.

While competitive battling can be interesting to me from a theoretical standpoint I don't enjoy it and don't enjoy prepping mons for it.

That's not it at all. I just like text that is easy to read. I don't care about reddit or whatever, I just find that double-spacing makes text slower to read. Coincidentally, other people call it reddit spacing.
