9/11 core

I know this album was recorded months before the attacks, but it has a weird 9/11 vibe, More albums like this.

my second favorite Residents album desu, this is way overlooked

Shocking no one posted Love and Theft by Bob Dylan

This album was the worst thing to happen to New York that year desu

The towers of babylon

this doesn't look like a real album cover

Kid A and Amnesiac both sound like they're trying to predict 9/11
Plus there's the album art, especially this one on the amnesiac inner sleeve

shit bait

...

further info (i'm familiar with the drift but not with any 9/11 connections)

Primal Scream - XTRMNTR

maybe the reason they have 9/11 vibes is because the covers have 2 towers/buildings you fucking brainlets

How does it have any 9/11 vibes besides having towers on the front and being released/recorded sorta aroun that time?

thats-the-joke.jpg

>THIS PLANE IS TOTALLY CRASHING

>They have a song called Ashes of the American Flag
"Jesus Etc: "Tall buildings shake Voices escape singing sad sad songs ... Voices whine Skyscrapers are scraping together Your voice is smoking"
>And the cover has twin towers.

...

>It was released in France and other European countries on 11 September 2001.
>Has a song called "Le grand incendie" which is "The Great Fire" in English.
>Translation of lyrics:
This is it, the great fire.
There's fire everywhere, (emergency).
Babylone, Paris is collapsing,
New York City, Iroquois which
are tumbling now. Come on!
London, Delhi, Dallas in
the show, Tribute to pompier art.
You can hear the sirens, they're
leaving the big scale.
Go. (Go!).

Tribute to the tectonique art.
A techno-picnic on the disembowelled
land but the fault is
dug, distintergrated.
Claudia Schiffer says she's
not even scared and everyone
applauds, on the telly.
Get a grip, Get a grip!
You've gotta run now,
she's in a bunker,
there's no more programme,
there's not even any more time
tonight folks.

It's the fire, the great fire (x 4)

It's the tsunami,
rats can no longer
laugh, escape, hide
in a hideout, bury themselves.
The side is tiny,
on the edge of the abyss.
Implosion, explosion,
death to the con rhyme.
Scoundrels, B***ards,
Standards, Badgers!
Everyone for themself that reminds us
as soon as we had the trigger.
Wanadoo, a doowupadoo,
(I wanna, I wanna, wanna go
with you), too late, little,
little devil! Compensation
is peanuts, you'll have nothing!
Run! (x 4)
No flying limit.
Speed up!

Speed up, we don't have time.
You always think you can
stop to dispose of yourself into a corner
to lie down and forget the pace!

It's the fire, the great fire...

Oh god yes, this album actually has a connection to 9/11. Insanely good albums.

>Explosions in the Sky's sophomore album was met with a slight controversy during its release in the UK a day before the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center Towers. As one can observe, the album cover depicts a plane with an insert that says "this plane will crash tomorrow."

obv this one

wow its almost as if the twin towers were an extremely likely target for a terrorist attack, like a followup to the 1993 terrorist attack on the twin towers or something
its almost as if people were expecting them to fall due to terrorist attacks or something
its almost as if there was a fifteen year buildup to the september 11th terrorist attack
its almost like people use negative emotions, like the ones sparked by a potential terrorist attack, to create more powerful sounding albums

meaning it makes you want to jump from the 15th floor?

shit's spooky af... makes me wanna stay away from it

was this ITT already?

Ryan Adams - New York New York, shot on 9/7/2001, features the twin towers prominently, was released right after 9/11

chris pls come back

"And sometimes planes they smash up in the sky"

Released late July 2001

U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind
Bruce Springsteen - The Rising

The song Oh Superman sounds like it could be about 9/11. Probably isn't though, since it was written in the 80s.

The Blueprint
>Multi platinum classic recorded in Manhattan by New York's biggest artist of that era and released on 9/11 just minutes before the planes hit.
Can't get more 9/11-core than that

surprised it took this long

released September 11, 2012

DELET THIS

criminally underrated

>live show 3 days after 9/11
deliver us, boognish

>Release date: September 11, 2001

POD's Satellite definitely counts as 9/11-core.

I bought Drukqs almost immediately upon its release. I made a mental note at the time about the closeness of its release to the event of 9/11. Drukqs is the one piece of art that I care about which (coincidentally) was released in close time-proximity to 9/11.

I don't really associate the music and the event apart from their proximity together, but it is 'helpful' that plenty of Drukqs is dark and/or discordant in some way, like the day.

YHF has a lot more similarities than that albeit completely coincidental.
Like it was completed well before 9/11 and was intended to be released on 9/11 as well as the obvious lyrical connection on some tracks specifically Jesus etc. Not to mention, as you said, the cover art.
