assuming you havent checked out other kanye, look into the college dropout and late registration, maybe even TLOP to an extent
I feel like this album (Run the Jewels 2) is similar to MBDTF.
Did kanye or can attempt a Kid A?
No?
yeezus
no.
Yeezus at least has the saving grace of being far more self aware than Kid A
>yeezus
>self aware
I don't even like Kanye too much, but Run the Jewels is dog shit compared to MBDTF.
The production and rapping styles on this are somewhat similar to MBDTF
Do you mean more maximalist music?
this isn't happening
Rapping styles maybe but the production doesn't sound similar in the slightest.
There's no orchestral shit on saturation and there's no lo-fi shit on MBDTF
My guess, Pitchfork Gives Kid A a 9.344
The swine.
phonemenomicon series is more maximalist than MBDTF and is lo-fi as it gets. it's hip hop's aphex twin to me. do you even art user?
>inb4 "bandcamp", "scaruffi", and "fantano".
OK Computer over MBDTF let alone Kid A, desu
Even Kanye would agree.
>MBDTF
> no entry level
bruh
drake - take care
>phonemenomicon
Not OP, but checking this out I have no idea when I'm going to find the time to get into a 4+ hour long album. Goddamn.
>Y'all got any more entry level shit? No entry level, please
mbdtf took 3m dollars to make. you're not going to find an album with similar production.
well there's a total of 4 4+ hour albums so you'd best start allotting time to spend listening to it
...
This is now the worst post on mu
kanye hates radiohead
this
I mean theyre both garbage
no.
its a great album but not on kid a level
He actually loves them
that was in 2008, kanye's on some next level shit
Hes not
is this actually worth the time?
which one should i start on?
if i listen to each album in 2 or 3 sittings rather than in one go will it ruin the experience completely?
just because they both have red covers?
The other way already, Thom Yorke hates Kanye.
Yes it's worth it, and I would start on Phonemenomicon. You can listen to it any way you like it's impossible to ruin the journey. They are sort of like books.
Yeah it cost 3 millions, 3 MILLIONS budget, but theres hip hop/r&b albums with similar approaches on production and in terms of production ambition for a mainstream pop rap album from 2001~2010 to here:
· Take Care
· channel ORANGE
· Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
· Watch The Throne
· good kid, maad city
· To Pimp A Butterfly
· Tetsuo & Youth
Kid a had the grace of not needing to be self aware because it was so fucking good
yes. you are right.
