post-punk is really just an awkward and clumsy transition point between punk, and goth on the one hand, and new wave on the other hand
Does goth music get any better than Juju? I can't stop listening to it.
It certainly does get better.
Syooksie was really the only good thing about her band
of course it does but still a cool album
Can you rec me some more spooky female-fronted goth bands? Preferably from that era, and not some modern revival nonsense.

Dark-punk's most overrated artist, Siouxsie has left behind very few compositions that deserve to be remembered. Most of her "music" was actually attitude, and therein lies her importance. She was an icon, and undoubtedly influenced bands worldwide. Goth-rock would not be a widespread phenomenon without her. But, unlike her model Nico, she was "only" an icon, and never a musician. Thanks to heavy promotion from major labels since the beginning of her career, she did achieve a bigger commercial success that the rest of dark-punk's emaciated ranks but at the expense of sacrifing whatever little originality her music had. If nothing else, the commercial scam helped give the genre some credibility with labels, which in turn materialized in a broader acceptance of gothic music worldwide. That is what Siouxsie will be remembered for.
>lol my opinion matters
Music reviewers are a joke.
Hey show some respect for the dead, will ya?
Tinderbox was her best I think, followed by Juju and A Kiss in the Dreamhouse.
This has got to have been written by someone who has never listened to a single Siouxsie album. Her music is so varied and the instrumentals are quite fleshed out.
kinda want to draw some more tiny goth gals
what should they be doing?
drinking beer and having fun
Do not sexualize goth girls. The ones I've known/dated were extremely modest and shy about sex. They're freaks in private, but they're not sluts.
Hanging around in a graveyard.
?
>They're freaks in private
you mean they got fetishes and stuff?
>tfw no qt shy freak goth gf
Yes
Which ones?
They're not all the same. It really depends on the girl. Some of them weren't so bad, but some of them were pretty crazy.
explain
in detail
Some love having their assholes eaten and love swallowing massive loads
One of them was really extremely masochistic. She was really into blood. She loved knifeplay.
That's not a fetish
Juju's her only album that I've been able to really get into.
Did I mention, their own assholes?
not a fetish
Got anymore of those female fronted gothic rock bands? Bush Tetras sounds great.
Yes, it is
anything?
I've always been really into The Cure and Sisters of Mercy, but I don't know much at all about other goth artists. I've heard a little Siouxsie and liked it, but never properly explored her material. What's a good record of hers to start on? Any other essential goth-era groups?
Juju is her best album, but The Scream, Join Hands, and Hyaena are pretty good too.
The Mission is a logical artist since it's the same band as early Sisters minus Eldritch. Here are a few more random classics:
