are you combat, intelligence or rescue?

Is it true that they live in some sort of monkey society like monkeys in those favelas?

Combat. Mostly patrolling and doing intelligence on Narco territory these days.

It's worse than monkey society.
They have zero respect for any rules or laws, it's a problem that can't be fixed sadly. It's been around for so long that poverty isn't even the only problem anymore, there's a whole subculture of complicity with criminals and drug lords. A bit like American ghettos, but on a much larger scale. I feel sorry for the honest minority that has to live in those conditions.

>intelligence on Narco territory
shiiiieeeet that's a high risk job man, mad respect for you

But if they live in their own little monkey society, why not leave them alone? Just put a fence around it and let the honest ones relocate somewhere else

because they aren't confined to it, crime spreads, they dont commit crime only in the favelas

So that's why I'm saying build a fence and let them know that if they do their monkey business elsewhere they'll be shot or their favelas be teargassed so they could enjoy their monkey justice when they get back to their monkeyland

things arent that simple but i like the idea

Why not? You can do that shit under the books and it's not like the world cares about brazil or brazil about favelas for that matter

Seriously all it would take is for you personally to push the idea to the right people and then sit back and watch the monkey world burn.

>and it's not like the world cares about brazil
you are mistaken, we get shit thrown at us from international SJWs and NGOs in general. Back in the 90s the police killed a bunch of inmates during a riot and we had to close the prison down because even the UN was giving us shit.
The other day fucking Sigourney Weaver was stirring up a protest against some hydro plant being built in the Amazon.

Besides our government has been very left-wing for the last 30 years. So the chances of anything like that happening is close to zero.

And cool pictures, videos, keep them coming.

that's called "gato". Clandestine cables supplying grid power to the favelas, they look all messed up because they weren't put there by the actual supplier lol

Looks kinda dangerous. But weren't your country suppose to fix the favela situation in return for hosting the olympics? Or some kind of deal?

they werent fixed, just had the police propped up to keep everyone quiet while the world cup and olympics happened. Afterwards the state government in Rio went broke, couldn't pay the police, lack of funds etc so everything went back to how things were

Not in the military anymore. But I did two years at the Norwegian-Russian border because of conscription.

They're spending time with their families or at work like real men. Squaddies on here are pathetic little wimps.

Honestly, not really much. Pot shots at the FOB from the mountains occasionally was what most of it was. Never personally ran into anyone during patrol or searching places. Found weapons, but the people were always gone. But I did know guys that were 11Bs that saw action a lot more often.

Saw a little bit in Iraq in the early stages of the war though. But being in a tank, I was pretty secure though and IEDs were really the only worry. I was a loader and a driver. I did get to fire the m240 a bit as a loader and got to load up some of the big shit too. Driving was comfortable in comparison but not as much action.

Or she’s dating a man who went to school and got a career and isn’t some retard who joined the military as last resort. Kek. Nice try.

>joined the military as last resort
Most people I know joined the military as a first option.

well the military in some situations seems to have a purpose, see brazil. otherwise i dont sse the point of an "army culture" like in the us.

Better than your's

>Nor

>Engineer-battalion. Anti mobility unit.

It was the most stressful. And also the most exciting. Got to fire guns a lot more. Since I've only been stationed on destroyers and cruisers and not carriers, the Afghanistan stuff was mostly just escorting carriers and doing some coastal defense and FM's firing rockets. Iraq was a lot more firing rockets. But Somalia had more chances to shoot the .50s and other guns and I even got to do a couple VBSS missions which were definitely cool, but never saw any real action during them.

See: Meant to reply that to you instead of myself again.
