What was your response
what about tupac
I said "Ok, but the two main songwriters of the band were gay" and she just went "ugh well whatever" and folded her arms. And then I continued talking.
He was gay though or the other two dudes in Husker Du were because I remember reading this somewhere.
Not the two others, only Bob Mould, the one that looked gay wasn't
>Though Mould's sexual orientation had previously been something of an open secret, he was outed in the early 1990s in an interview in the music magazine Spin; he came to terms with being openly gay, even appearing in the movie Bear Nation, self-identifying as a bear.[37][38]
that pisses me tf off. its ironic that sjw's are against categorization/stereotyping but stereotype people based on norms.
and why does it make a difference whether an artist is involved in the "queer scene"? that music doesnt get attention because its just plain garbage music. not because "society doesnt accept them".
why do people treat music like its about about the glory and attention involved? its about who FUCKING MAKES GOOD MUSIC.
I hate reading about any artist dying because then I think: well shit, this is sad. and now everyone's gonna just do a tribute to this person's music and companies are gonna market the shit out of their death.

For real. There was a gay-themed party thrown recently and some guy got upset on facebook about there being "straight guys with frat bro attitudes infilitrating a queer party" and the guy that threw the damn thing called him out in the comments saying that he and his friends are both "gay and bros" and not to make assumptions about that sort of thing.
