I really like this, especially the tracks angel, nylon, and TRY, which stuck out to me as really excellent and I listened all the way through those.
Here's my stuff. Pretty low-key, intended to feel like camping. Couple issues arise with mic popping, although not often.

my band is this twee pop indie rock kinda thing, our new single is more indie folk but you might like it OP

hey fellas, here's the same album I've been postin for months. I try to hold back on posting too much since I probably won't have any new music for like another year or so, but it's still fun to drop in every once in a while.
I can always get down with some camp-core. These songs have a charm to them and I frequently like the instrumentation goin on in the background, though I'm not sure they're too engaging from a pure songwriting perspective. Honestly I'm not sure really what to make it of this overall. There are points where the looseness works, and parts where it just sounds lazy and ill-considered. I get how that's a hard thing to balance but still, can't help but feel that way. Anyways I can see what you're going for thematically and at least there's an attempted cohesion there making it seem much more thoughtful and considered. So yeah in that respect I'd rank it over some other stuff I've heard that have similar issues. Idk, maybe it's just not for me.
Also I rant about this every time I listen to stuff on here, but please just include lyrics, especially if they're obscured a bit by the music. People really need to get over what ever is holding them back from doing that.
Yeah, I had a friend of mine upload the album for me because my internet is down, so I'm gonna go back soon and add the lyrics.
And I understand what you mean about the looseness sounding lazy at times, specifically on black water, which I wanna go back and work out. I appreciate the feedback though
meant to include this with my post here but I listened to the single. It doesn't do much for me, but it's a pretty song. I think y'all are well aware that you're working within a pretty standard format here, so there's really no point in laying in to it for being basic or anything. So for what y'all are doing it works well I guess is what I'm saying. Perhaps the melody could be a bit more noteworthy but that's a hard thing to define anyways.
Okay cool, and no problem. Didn't mean to sound too harsh or anything, these are just kind of off the cuff impressions anyways.
No, I appreciate it. I don't just wanna be fed false compliments, you know?
thank you!!!
thanks for listening! yeah, it's one of our more "normal" songs or whatever, thanks for the feedback!
>Motel Guide
very solid playing, not much to critique as I like this sort of thing, very cozy stuff, the vocals fit without being contrived. the added field recordings on the second track fit and transition well
going to listen to the whole album
thanks for listening. i will download your album & listen to it tomorrow.

I love that filtered bass sound you got going on. it gives the track a swampy feel to it.
pretty relaxing man. Though those scratching noises are annoying.
That rhythm guitar track sounds so dark, its pretty cool. The mix is also good.

An album I put out earlier this year. I'm working on a follow-up of sorts. This is probably the best thing I've done so far, even if I don't think it's cohesive.
It has sort of a futuristic vibe to it.

First one that really interested me.
Sup Forums is fucking saturated with lo-fi indie bedroom pop/folk/rock, and none of it ever comes close to Pinback or Fog Lake so I don't know why any of you even bother releasing your mediocre, out of tune, derivative trash.
Hey I'll have you know I spend a lot of time making sure my guitars are in tune.
haha, who said it was the guitars that were out of tune?
Well nothing else I did could have been out of tune.
Just saying you should have stuck with the "mediocre" and "derivative trash" points. Those are harder to dispute and makes your trolling much more effective. It's like you're not even trying to gets (You)s.
if you're you do realise i wasn't directing those comments to you, but to 90% of the other posters here?
I'm not that guy, I'm just letting you know you're an ass.
Nobody here has any delusions that they're some unappreciated genius. We're all just doing what we can and trying to get better, and a part of that is having people hear and react to your music. If you wanna take issue with specific trends within these threads then that's fine, certain things bother me too, but just making some vague "hurr ur all trash" criticism helps no one. I'd welcome harsher critiquing but that's not that.
This. I know I'm not very good, but come here to find ways to get better. The only thing worse than a "this sux" is "rec"
