they did and openly admitted it, but heres the catch its not "cost effective" so basicly we cant give the masses the actual fucking cure because it will make the drug company and research labs go broke, the learned that one with polio...

Yes.

Of course there’s a cure for cancer, but cancer “research” wouldn’t get their 100’s of millions in donations every year if they cured it.

>the government

the government does not control the medical industry. the government gains nothing from hiding it other than more people demanding universal health care.

one or two big medical companies might have developed something close to a cure but probably not. you do know why cancer is so hard to cure don't you? research what cancer is and you'll understand why one size couldn't fit all.

and remember that there isn't even a cure to the common cold, so why would we have a cure for cancer/

Cancer is worth over $200 Billion annually and the government even stated it would be better if a cure was not discovered because of the dramatic u turn in revenue.

I shit you not, look it up for yourself.

Big pharma would never go broke, they don’t create cures, they create customers.

If any company had a 'one size fits all' cure for cancer they could instantly be the single richest organisation on the planet if they released it. They gain nothing by hiding it.

I have a better idea, you post a link proving your crackpot belief. I'll read it and decide if you're right.

You better link to a reliable source.

How about a scientific paper. This drug was found by the Canadians and tested, It is already been used for many years to treat another disorder so it has already been passed safe. The problem with it is the fact it is non patent, meaning companies and all companies could market this for thousands or 50p each. There is no profit in it so its ignored.

sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1535610806003722

It received a bit of media attention in Canada and then went quiet. Why, the pharmasuticle industry spends billions per year on advertising and paying for companies eg newspapers not to publish things. This paper was first released in 2013 and as of yet has not been refuted, just ignored.

cancer is a difficult problem. no, there's no secret miracle cure. go back to /x/

One of the best drugs for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia is Rituximab (Rituxan/MabThera, Genentech/Roche) and has made the company some $7.78 Billion so far from the one drug :/

...Yes, I am sure they are in a huge rush to cure Cancer. The simple fact is it is not cost effective to cure cancer.

Money will always be the overriding factor. How much profit have they made from this one drug alone? How much does it cost them to make 1 pill? You cant make money from a cure! You make the initial cost yes, but if Cancer was eradicated then the profits are non sustaining. Everyone cured and no more sales...but if you get a drug that kinda works, then you have a steady stream of customers.

you people have no idea what you're spouting off about
if you could cure cancer, you'd make money hand over fucking fist
people would still get cancer
if you create an innoculation for cancer, everyone would pay to get it forever
it would mean untold billions

but nah. they'll keep milking instead of becoming gods

Quads means it's true

Yep

And what about the Canadians who found that a common already used drug treats cancer. this was not used because there is no profit in it. Link is a few posts back faggot, but obviously you are more wise than everyone else.

Cancer is literally the mutation of cells. A mutation that's harmful. You can't cure cancer without changing every single cell in the human body and stop the mutations from ever happening.

Because canadas healthcare system actualy cares about helping people. It's the American healthcare system that only wants to make money

There are thousands of different diseases that are collectively known as "cancer", and even within these different diseases every case is different because the cancer is just a mutated version of the person who has it.

We *do* have several methods that *sometimes* cure *some* cancers. But we do research to try to refine methods so that we can cure *more* of them *more often*.

Wrong. Our bodys destroy continously cells that have mutated, that includes cancer cells.
