Pretty sure that Local Business came out and people were underwhelmed, so they wrote it off as a lesser album
Although I will say, I don't think it's an album that's aging well, but I still enjoy it. It kind of is an album tailored to an angsty-teen/young adult mindset, and as we age, it might lose its strength.
