hello, rym!

this used to get posted all the time

I'd post it, but then one of you would be easily able to find my RYM profile. :|

marillion's not that obscure. that album actually sold pretty well, platinum in UK and top 50 in US

The album cover to this is fucking awful but it actually is a really good album

Nice. The thing with these older game soundtracks is the instruments aren't all that great but the composition is so good that you can just imagine it being played by a real band.

Here's one of my favorite game OSTs.
youtube.com/watch?v=Qh6vJdfx33I

Is that obscure?
Very good album regardless

Nah. Kayleigh was a pretty big hit for chrissakes.

link

not obscure, but amazing.

uhh not obscure

Probably by me desu.

I've only ever seen one other person post one of his albums, and one other besides that mention him on Sup Forums.

He is legit my favorite artist though, so it goes to show.

>low quality recordings of mexicans playing random notes

yeah no

it was a few years back i think when i saw it posted most

if you dont smile ear to ear listening to Xochipitsauak im not sure i can consider you a human person

I found this ep from one of those threads where you swap songs with people
it's intense

>iron & wine
>obscure
That album was played in every single Starbucks and Urban Outfitters circa 2008

Imagine an album full of songs like Spanish Bombs by the Clash

That's this album

...

...

Our Sunday Affairs - Welcome Home Kiddo
Nouveau Life - New World
LIGHTNING - Justice Strike
Windir - 1184
A lot of Dungeon Synth
A lot of IDM (Yuki Matsumura, Yaporigamia, STURQEN, Takeshi Kagamifuchi, wk[es], Plaster)
Cerce - Cerce
Pekka Pohjola - Harakka Bialoipokku
Ozma - Rock n roll part 3
Planet X - Quantum
Weezer - Make Believe
My Chemical Romance - Bullets
Pencey Prep - Heartbreak in stereo

There's a label called Pacific Moon records that specializes in Asian music. So many great erhu albums on there.

Karfagen - Lost Symphony
A lot of Kansas stuff

Okay, I goof'd hard. I thought this thread was about underrated albums. Woops. I'll post my list anyway.

>album with Kayleigh on it
>obscure
lol ok
pic related

>obscure
>extremely

I can't even find a digital copy of this album

The album planet x by derek Sherinian is the goat m8.

Some songs on their own aren't 10/10 but the entire albums works together flawlessly

>their most popular album
>obscure

Also, that album is 5/10 at best. H era >>>> Fish era

thanks for posting this user, I'm really enjoying it

I doubt anyone cares

...

no problem, user. It's a true gem

...

Mr. M by Lambchop. I'll be surprised if someone has heard of Lambchop.

...

French folky prog psych band from the 70's. Really cool and underrated.

Music can't get more obscure than this.

Googled this, first seconds in and I'm already loving it.

...

Easily this. Unbelievable songwriting and 0 duds. Too bad their other stuff wasn't this consistent.

>you can find it online to download
You are like a little baby

This album can not be found for sale or to download. The only song on youtube from it is the one that I ripped from cassette and uploaded.

This is a cool one if you like stuff like Thinking Fellers Union

youtube.com/watch?v=OgcYZA3ciKQ

well now you posted it on Sup Forums and everyone knows about it, you fucking idiot.

imagine being this autismal

This is good, thanks for the rec.

;) nice

What are these? Send links or describe the music

That was posted in a sharethread some weeks ago, some nice sludge

Thanks for the vids man, that Spanky shit was amazing.

Being from jersey (U.S) and growing up in the city (amboy) where miilkbone is from, only few in amboy listen to miilk and that would be all the 40 year old dudes that hang around sittin on the street. album is not that good.

He's a one hit wonder

this album will be considered a classic in 20+ years

I know it was memed on here when it released, but its mostly been forgotten.

...

How about a record I'm not sure if it even exists? Strawberry Jean's self titled mini album. If anyone knows anything about this record please post about it. Been hunting for this record since before Sup Forums existed. A discog page exists, but info is sparse. Link? Cover art? Information about the band? The only thing relatively well known about them is that it's Futoshi Abe's pre-Thee Michelle Gun Elephant band. Thanks

Reminds me so much of classic Pharoah Sanders style vocal jazz.

Which reminds me, Pharoah Sanders - 'Karma' is such a great album.

Somebody Please listen to this! It's so fucking good!!!

...

My parents have this in their CD collection. Should I rip it?

Probably the most relaxing album ever recorded

>Harold Budd and Brian Eno
>Obscure

wtf its not garbage you pleb its a 10/10

This album is a fucking banger, but not obscure.

How is Gospel obscure?

shitty beeps, extremely dated tape manipulations and generic synths pads arranged in an absolutely directionless way makes for a 10/10 now
no it's probably the worst rymcore album of all
i bet you think Montparnasse is a beautiful timeless and precious marvel or something

Yes its probably the best album by any hard rock band from that era

the chad stride

...

Good Japanese jazz fusion
