what 2016 albums are you still listening to?

pic related for me, it's one of the only albums from that year that feels like it's held up. I still give TLoP a listen occasionally though.

My Woman as well, and Puberty 2.
Objectively there were better albums but these two remained consistently enjoyable for casual listening.

David Bowie-Blackstar, Radiohead-A Moon Shaped Pool, really those are the only decent albums from 2016.

all these sucked ass
pic related is the gem of 2016

Factory Floor - 2525
DIIV - Is This The Are
Kate Tempest - Let Them Eat Chaos
Running - Wake Up Applauding
Slowcoaches - Nothing Gives
Vanishing Twin - Choose Your Own Adventure
BBNG - IV

I could never get into My Woman. I still listen to her other album now and then though.

basically just this

For some reason I've never been able to enjoy My Woman as I did with her previous albums. And I own a vinyl copy of My Woman.
I'm still super into Frank Ocean's 2016 album Blonde. It has held up super well, but this shouldn't be too surprising because it is a near-perfect album.

I want to _____ Angel Olsen

>I could never get into My Woman. I still listen to her other album now and then though.
Listen to Half Way Home and her older releases.
When I first listened to My Woman last year it seemed like her worst release. I've given it a second chance this year and I like it a lot more now.

listen to

i play my 2016 aoty pretty regularly.
their recent release still haven't clicked for me though, felt pretty weak

>Listen to Half Way Home
That's the one I meant by "her other album", I really enjoy her slow melancholic songs, but don't care for her rockpopband stuff.

not objectify

my woman has the strongest second half of any of her albums.
heart shaped face onwards is 10/10

...

subjectify

No

>I really enjoy her slow melancholic songs
Same here. She said she didn't like being seen as "a girl at the bottom of a dark well" so now she's trying to appear more "energetic" or something.
I thought you meant Burn Your Fire For No Witness by "her other album" though.

Yeah, she tried to make a strong contrast between both halves. Listen to live performances of the first half though, some of them are pretty intense. In general last two albums sound much better live than in studio to me.

make my ex jealous of my love for

Kinda surprised someone else still likes Puberty 2.
>Alex Cameron - Jumping the Shark (technically not a 2016 release but whatever)
I thought about posting that as well, it was originally made in 2013, but yeah. Although I like his new album more.

Right there with you. I baked it a cake for its birthday. So perfect.

I actually kind of forgot about that album for a while. But I now find it way better than his previous more "catchy" one. It seems like someone broke his heart.

Marko, prestani radit pizdarije i radi nešto korisno.

A Meme Shaped Poo
Sleep Cycle

WHO NEEDS A MUTHAFUCKIN FRIEEEEEEEND?

These two bad boys

One of the best concept albums of 2016

THRICE DEATH FROM ABOVE

FUCK wrong pic

I don't give a fuck if she is or not, some of her songs form that album really hurt a lot. At the moment I prefer her first two albums though. I even think there's some small Björk influence in some of her songs. As well as St. Vincent.

...

what on earth

This and Goodness

The AOTY that no one talked about

AMSP, Skeleton Tree, and Blackstar.

2016 was honestly a fucking great year of music.
I still listen to nonames telephone extremely frequently, Xiu xiu plays the music of twin peaks, and atrocity exhibition is one of my favorite hip hop albums ever made, the glowing man is my favorite swans album and is currently in my top ten, bottomless pit isn't bad, WORRY is fun as a motherfucker. MUCH better year than 2017
