As a Donald Trump supporter, I think he's making a mistake by debating Bernie Sanders.

I do not see how he gains anything. People are saying "He will get Bernie voters on his side this way". I disagree. While that was looking like a distinct possibility, a debate will make it worse, not better. A debate between them will just emphasize how different their policies are.

Not only that, but now Bernie has nothing to lose. He will go into full attack mode. I believe Bernie is more interested in making Trump look bad, than making Hillary look bad.

I don't think Trump expected to be roped into this. I think he was just shit-talking on Kimmel and didn't expect this to actually go through. I'm worried.

It all honestly comes down to the moral character of Bernie. He can cause a lot of damage to Trump and permanently avoid his supporters from going over to Trump´s side by souring the relations with insults and baits, if he only throws mud without any care for his own image. If however, Bernie is really interested in debate, it would be the most glorious debate so far.
