I dropped out at 16. Finished the previous year but failed. Never reapplied the next year. Studied and got a GED. Its not hard to figure this shit out. If you want to drop out mid year, go see the principal and sign whatever paperwork. Done.
As an 18 year old just ask your school what you need to do. At most you fill out oaperwork, but being a public school they will probably just say stop showing up. Then you don't enroll the following year. After that you will have to get a GED for the diploma.
