i love the space you've got in this! it opens up so beautifully its like i have schizophrenia. The beat that follows isn't really my style unless I'm on a lot of MDMA but then I'd dig it hard
i like how muted this is and the panning effects but i kind of wish the beat hit harder when you started rapping? your flow is sick though. love that scream and when the beat changes after your first 8/16
not my style but id play it in the car on the way out to the bar to get hyped
i love that drumline. it reminds me of animal collective - creative sounds and rhythm
>soundcloud.com
EARTHLORD is a trashy mess and i mean that in the best way possible. cool concept and I'm guessing your style is super noisy. something id suggest specifically is don't be afraid to really go in with your vocals unless super casual is your preferred vibe. maybe play around with making the treble in the noise lower and the treble in your voice higher?

really was into these
i just started fucking around with this stuff two months ago, i played guitar for a while before this though. the first half of this tape i see cloud/trap, the second half is guitar based r&b/2000's mellow hip hop. last song is a zelda trap beat that i made for fun.
i really would appreciate feedback, it's 11 tracks but only 18 minutes, i put it up yesterday. i'm going to go through the rest of the shit in this thread, so everything is appreciated
nice. the trap/ambient mix kinda reminds me of Eco Virtual youtube.com

smooth af, really digging the chopped vocals
strong rec, great minimalist atmosphere and drum sampling
really digging the new track, love the vocal samples and that hook's been stuck in my head for a while. the beat just feels a little subdued imo, the drums could be a bit punchier.

Hey dude, you got great flow and the production is great, just wish the snare had more presence in this.
so chill man. awesome. I think you would like the artist Willow. Her stuff is similarly sparse.
ngl, the length of the project is a bit daunting for me to just dip into right now dude. still though seems like you got your sound togethor.

I like the piano and the voice clips going on in your newest sound. Also the way you blended the piano and the bell is top notch
Very dreamy and something I feel like I could listen to while tripping, I give it a solid 93/100
Not for me however I can see the effort you put into it which I can appreciate
Super cool rhythms I fuck with it Hurricane Irma is a banger for sure
Also check out my arguably best track, its inspired by a benadryl trip so keep that in mind when you hear the screams
soundcloud.com
Yesss Cyberpunk! Amazing sounddesign and I love the chord progression!
I like the general dark vibe, really cool style, but your kick drum sounds like it is clipping / overcompressed quite a bit, which kind of muds down the other delicate parts.
Here's a new track I made yesterday:

Hey man, Lighght here... really interesting stuff. was a bit apprehensive when i saw the term 'rock opera' but this is some great sound design. I think the main thing you could benefit from is some better mixing, and better control in your bass frequencies. Try and roll off the sub frequencies of things which are not explicitly acting as bass is one thing. But yeah this is strong composition work. hit me up with something once its past ' wip' stage.
i like this but the mixing definitely needs a bit of a work! great flows though
good flows over boom bap. not my style either but if you are into rap with old school vibe check this out.
this like needs way better mixing and composition. other than that seems like you got a good weird sensibility but yeah.

Gonna feedback as many no replies posts as I can
Commented you before, need to work on vocals but your not too far off. Composition is tight, just needs a couple tweaks and it'll be great.
Pretty nice stuff, like the busyness going on in this track
Composition is kinda meh, flow is good but you need some more energy for the kind of rap your doing
See previous feedback, keep working on your stuff m8!
Starts off good but the beat a minute 30 seconds in kinda doesnt work as well as the 1st section. Last part partially redeems it, but overall the ideas are there. Keep up the good work!
>naruto track pic
That aside i like the classical guitar and percussion but the sounds of an engine revinng up and the lashes sound kinda extra along with the scream at 42 seconds. Theres a good foundation but you need to find what works and what doesnt.
Doghair has really good energy, sounds like a good banger assuming you can find a good high energy rapper to collab
Really chill stuff

Thanks for the tip. I agree, I have a thing for low end rumble as an effect (it's not primarily untreated lows, but an added channel), and it sounds unpleasant if not eased into it. The album eases you into it, but my SC doesn't. I might have used it a little excessively and sloppily (lazy when it comes to automation on WIPs) though, so I'll keep that in mind. Finding a Body to Carry Your Soul better represents the amount of lows in the rest of the album.
As for the rock parts (which are not on SC because I don't want to spoil the plot for my ~5 fans by revealing the lyrics), they are somewhat advanced compositionally, lyrically and instrumentally, melodically catchy and unlike any other rock music out there (the closest I've heard would be the second act of the latest Titus Andronicus album, embedded below). I don't imagine it would be a hit with Sup Forums, but I want both artistic merit and popular appeal, and I need a vehicle for plot progression in the "normal world" (rock) as well as the "other world" (not rock), and since at least 70% of the plot takes place in "this world," I just call it a multi-genre rock opera.
The Magic Morning by Titus Andronicus for reference:
youtube.com
Thanks again for the feedback, I'll be sure to check out more of your music tomorrow.
beyond the rumble i would like to advise you to sidechain that channel anyway. ive done similar to add a rumble without it muddying a mix. or maybe thats the effect in general!
also il keep an ear out, i dont necessarily like too much rock but i can fuck with titus andronicus
No, you're right, it comes down to laziness. Composing is the fun part, and when it's time to polish the mix it's no longer fun.

I'd really could use a good feedback on this demo. I say it's good as it is, my bassist says it should be half the time. I promise I would return any criticism.

Sounds pretty neat, I think you have achieved turning this deMarco influence into something bigger. Congrats, it's very original. Sometimes it sounds to me like Ducktails on steroids. Love it!
Wow, that's some entrance, love the reversed snare. It's pretty intimate and then the gazey part at the end, it reminds me of Have a Nice Life a bit, without being a copy. You have something really great going on.

Really groovy, I enjoyed this as lot. I do agree with the guy in the comments though that the piano does sound a bit "stabby" at the beginning - later on in the track it fits in great though.
The melodic stuff sounds really pretty, but these beats sound kind of generic laid over them. Unless you're going for this kind of contradictory sound, could try putting some filter on the percussion to blend the music together more.

really nice, good chillout music
Cool samples in there, good mixing
This is actually really good. Keep making music, I'm into it. ONY8)_OACK sounds like music to get drunk and break stuff to. Shit Wiggs is really chill.
The drums on this are fantastic. The stereo sound on the synth is wavy. Great work, thanks for sharing.
Both of the tracks on your page are excellent. I love the dynamic range you've got here, I actually was surprised listening to Last Stand when it sort of exploded in the final part. All of the sections in both of these tracks really feel well written, I could imagine the same pieces note for note being done in a studio and sounding fantastic. Or not, I mean you could get a great sound out of a bathroom with the right tools and skills.
Me
Thank you, I was going more for beautiful music than chillout music, but as long as it sounds good to you I'll definitely take it as a compliment
Oh, also wanted to say that your song's good, I like your guitar playing and your singing (especially the harmonized parts) is soulful. But as one of the comments said, it does need some work on the mixing on this track, I heard some noticeable clipping at one point in the middle. But the song itself is very good
