Is there any reason to see which sites my roommate visits? We are connected through the same wifi. Searching his computer is not an option, he has password. He's a bit shady and i have some concerns

KYS maybe?

Any way*

mind your damn business user

see wireshark for raw data

dubs have spoken

When OP wants to get into his gf's laptop
Faggot

OP is the type of person who is stopped by a password. Do you really think he can set up wireshark? Besides, most traffic is going to be encrypted anyways.

If he's using windows and is on the same Wi-Fi a password should not stop you

If anything just put a keylogger on his ass or set up a camera to watch his keyboard

Dubs of two kinds of truths

Do you really believe OP is worried about his "roommate"
You guys should live together....

I don't really care who it's for i'm not a judge i'm just here to help

>Is there any reason to see which sites my roommate visits?
no, leave your roommate alone.

>most tragic is going to be encrypted
you'll still be able to see the domains he visits

why?

If they aren't using a proxy, the deep web, and you can control the router...try tomato firmware or ddwrt. They can track a user's activity. But if they are a hacker I'd say BTFO as they aren't worth the potential trouble.

I'll save you the trouble. Yes, your roommate is fucking your girlfriend.

No, there's no reason to see which sites your roommate visits. If you can't trust someone, you shouldn't be living with them. Nothing you find on his computer changes that. If you did look through his browsing history and you found absolutely nothing weird, it still wouldn't effect your level of trust.

Its time to move.

Wireshark
>kinda illegal though

Keked

So lets say your roomie's visiting some pretty awful sites. Maybe even that Sup Forums place.... What are you gonna do about it?

Seriously though, what are you thinking you'll find? If you find it, what then?

wave an industrial magnet over his hard drive. Unlocks it in seconds.

actually, a hardware keylogger that sits in the USB port where his keyboard is plugged in would probably be your best bet. Get his computer password, install a backdoor when he's not home, and when he watches porn and jacks off in his room, you can watch his screen and jack off too like best buttbuddies.

>most tragic
kek

>when he watches porn and jacks off in his room, you can watch his screen and jack off too

Not really. You're just viewing publicly available information on a network, nothing is being hacked.

Im keeping that Gif

here's another good one

Thats some OG Cringe mang

So, if I do trust my room mate but I decide to look at what sites he visits just for shits and giggles, and find something that makes me not trust him, it shouldn't change anything?

He should probably trust me less, too, but what you find out about someone is gonna affect how you feel about them regardless.

Completely untraceable, too. He'll never have a clue you were snooping around in his data.

Look. I went to college with this guy. We were tight. Good friends. One day, I'm chilling at his place and I notice he's got this magazine full of pictures of weight lifter chicks. Not just girls in shape, but massively muscled she-hulks. That was his kink.

I tried not to think about it, but every time I looked at his short, fat, bearded mug, I kept picturing an Amazon towering next to him. Things changed. I felt really weird. We stopped hanging out because everything got really awkward.

I'm just saying, leave your roommate's shit alone. Don't pry into private things. You can't un-know stuff about someone.

Install github.com/xlab/netsed/blob/master/README on the router and set it up to replace every four letter word found in all his traffic with "taco". Use SSLStrip to apply to most encrypted traffic.

That is probably good idea, after all he has a password on his computer for a reason. I will rethink if I want to talk with him or just leave it alone.

>Win32 2000.XP 7.27.0 libcurl SSL

Where do I find this version or the most recent version?

curl.haxx.se/download/curl-7.27.0.zip
or for the latest version curl.haxx.se/download.html

run wireshark.

What OS does he use? What browser?

Or boot Kali live CD/USB on his system, mount his hd, copy off his SAM db, crack later on own PC with ophcrack or a number of other similar tools. Once cracked, use it physically or remotely via SMB or RPC
