At The Drive In sucks, user. Listen to The Mars Volta instead
I'm confused, am I posting albums like those or albums as good as them even if they aren't post-hardcore? Here's a great post-hardcore record that was influenced a lot by Drive Like Jehu
dont have to be posthardcore necessarily. under the umbrella of indierock. atonal, distortion, off-tempo, multiple time signatures, weird lyrics, arty lyrics, etc. just has to be loud, focused around the guitar, but not veer into metal.
like deerhoof, deerhunter, les favy fav, us maple, brainiac, archers of loaf, , polvoetc.
great album btw
thanks for the big list
AtDI should be on every top 100 list.
Have you tried Dillinger Escape Plan?
METZ, Don Caballero
We versus the shark- ruin everything is exactly what you want and listen to that first over the other things in this thread
Almost all of these albums have nothing to do with the bands op posted. I really hope you didn't waste your time typing that out and just copy and pasted it
Bamp
FOo fighters. Weezer.
You literally just copy and pasted Scaruffi's 7.5's from the 2010s.
city of caterpillar s/t
bitch magnet - umber
a minor forest - flemish altruism
lowercase - all destructive urges... seem so perfect
glad i'm not the only one who noticed lmao

faraquet - the view from this tower
smart went crazy - con art

unwound's for people who like local bands (ie. hacks)
ATDI's for screamo fags
DLJ is the only peerless and patrician band in your pic, so i can't rec anything like them. sorry.

AWESOME RECORD. More relistenable than anything else mentioned.
nothing in this thread is le-good as le-experimental man who blows on glass
yeah, post-hardcore from 2017 sounds nothing at all like the post-hardcore listed in this thread, moron. they should be regarded as completely different genres. they sound as much alike as elvis sounds like disturbed.

Coughs, Rapeman, Shellac, Storm&stress, US Maple, the Jesus Lizard.
That whole NY hardcore scene is really underrated here. Funnily enough I got into that through Asobi Seksu, which at one point had the drummer of Orange 9mm in its lineup. Asobi Seksu is pretty much very cheery shoegaze, completely unlike the rest of stuff here.
