Desert blues/Tuareg music is unironically the best genre.

Gospel Haunted used to get posted every now and then, it's still a great record

Some country/country rock - Gram Parsons, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Pure Prairie League, etc. In fact I'd like to learn more about classic country but no one on Sup Forums is really interested.

Yeah, I definitely miss that classic rough garage band sound that they had going on in Gospel Haunted.
youtube.com/watch?v=-Ars8QEel4g had to be my favorite one on the album

actually, traditional country is the only country Sup Forums cares about.

I'll be posting a few but here's the first one, it's one of the best reminders to never judge an album by its cover

Here's one I did judge by the album cover - I expected a dystopian Jet Set Radio. What I got instead was something in the vein of Weezer.

Well yeah but I never see Sup Forums discussing country period. Maybe one album every couple of months... but that's about.

I fucking love this band, still haven't listened to most of their albums but Satan is Watching is in my top 10

I honestly didn't pay any attention to prog or psych rock before stumbling upon The Bevis Frond

This sounds like Gin Blossoms

I've yet to encounter another person who knows that Portal exists
youtu.be/0b1H7dOmltE

Cool, I'll have to check them out

Portal is really awesome. I've been listening to Outre a lot lately.

This chart has shown up on /metal/ threads occasionally.

People think I'm retarded when I say that Pendulum is an obscure band.

It doesn't help that they were also australian. Or that they also played DnB.

Holy fuck, it's even on charts?

Literally no one here knows this band, right?
I posted it in the sharethread, check it outz its some pretty wacky post-punk

Some of the albums on there are also worth listening to.

Also has anyone in here ever heard of / listened to Cordelia's Dad?

Fucking awesome folk/punk/alternative rock group.

Literally everyone who intos black metal a little bit know Portal my dude

was actually really close to listening to these guys the other day, but for some reason or another didn't.
I've been super obsessed with 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand this past week, and been checking out a bunch of similar bands like Jay Munly, Slim Cessna's Auto Club and The Builders and Butchers.
Seeing this be posted here has made it next on my list.
