Actually, it was just because both countries couldn't decide which Germany is actually Germany so they had the same flag because fuck you we are the real Germany but at one point they just gave up trying to be the real Germany so they accepted the soverginity of each other and the GDR got that stamp to show that they are Soviet and turned that "fuck you we are real Germany" into "fuck you we are best Germany".

I unironically prefer DDR to current Germany. By our standards they lived really well (dad was there and for us it was almost like West) and were free of cuckoldry and third world immigration. Best Germany indeed.

There was a whole bunch of Soviet puppet states that were never a part of USSR. Nothing weird about that.
And that "larping" was a good thing, because it helped them separate themselves from ruskie influences later on, unlike for example Ukraine or Belarus. Look at them now.

As for denial of expulsion, that was wrong, but did it actually occur considering the huge newcomeer population in Germany after the expelled Germans came home would be rather hard to deny? And besides, read about how Germans were treated in Czechia in end days of the war (not that they were not responsible for that in a big part), people were getting lynched and hanged publicly, the expulsion was not exactly humane, but it was imo better for them to go home than stay in lands where they were hated.
