saturation II
Milo and Open Mike Eagle had the two best rap releases this year so far. Oddisee's was also pretty good
except the first one was better
you're missing more
what? Big fish theory is a rap album?
Except they were both shite
>implying Amerikkkan Badass was any good
OP here, no I am not limiting it to the 4 albums posted.
How's high school?
My biggest issue with both Saturations is that it sounds like it was put together in the matter of a month, without any real effort or thought put into every beat and verse. I get the appeal, but it doesn't have that much replay value for me
This
How did you not know?
...
tell me more about how open mike eagle and billy woods dropped AOTYs
How's Seventh grade?
...
not that it makes a difference but it was put together in a month
I figured
lmao C O N C I O U S
the only correct answer
It's quite good; not an album though. Maybe EOTY though I did enjoy that Lil Ugly Mane track/ep.
I just happen to like what happens to be classified as "conscious" hip hop. I'm not doing it to feel superior, I just prefer it aesthetically over trap rap
I was the guy who originally posted this 2x2 but you omitted 4:44 you fucking nigger
Flower Boy, absolutely no contest
I doubt you've listened to all of the albums mentioned ITT
Saturation 2 and flower boy are def the top 2
Why would you think that? Nothing ITT is remotely underground or obscure, or even inaccessible to the most casual rap fans.
1: BROCKHAMPTON - Saturation 1
2: Amine - Good For You
3: Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
4: Open Mike Eagle - Brick Body Kids Still Daydream
5: Rick Ross - Rather You Than Me
6: Jay-Z - 4:44
7: Tyler The Creator - Flower Boy
8: BROCKHAMPTON - Saturation 2
9: Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory
10: 2 Chainz - Pretty Girls Like Trap Music
>I doubt you've listened to all of the albums mentioned ITT
there's like a handful of albums up there sweetie...
Flower Boy
444 is the best album listed here also known unknowns
sup r*ddit
Its one of these 5:
Kendrick Lamar: DAMN
2 Chainz: Pretty Girls Like Trap Music
Rick Ross: Rather You Than Me
Brockhampton: Saturation (though I'd accept a replacement with Flower Boy)
Jay Z 444 (yes, despite its flwas)
SZA's album fucking destroys the rest of them though, but she's R&B.
Oh shit I forgot about that one nigga. The weird dude with the African name. What was it again?
>Kendrick Lamar: DAMN
hello r*ddit!
this
anyone who disagrees hasnt listened to it
What up alt r*ght?
>putting this over Drop Top Wop
u gotta chil
who the fuck listened to drop top wop
except they did
different user but I did at least, don't follow gucci mane too closely but of the one's i've heard it was one of his best releases
it's a shame Amine's album isn't blowing up, it's probably my favorite of the year so far
i rescind my original statement after looking more into it thank u
thanks for this
ignore the non-rap
You could pick any of the albums ITT and they are better than Flower Boy, or just as good. My point was that if you think there is no contest (meaning nothing else comes close) for Flower Boy being the best rap album this year, you must not have heard the other albums in the thread, because it quite clearly is not
I say 2 Chainz... that album is fucking solid front to back
Yeah but couldn't you just have said "I don't agree with you" instead of autistically assuming your opinion was objective fact, and claiming that I had not listened to all the other albums ITT (which, in fact, I had?)
Nnamdi Ogbonnaya?
rollin for flower boi
Sorry that it made you angry because I said I doubted that you listened to all of the albums in the thread. Now I know that you actually did listen to all of the albums in thread
>tfw the best song in Flower Boy was a Lil Wayne song
Good album but Wayne sounded like how he did 12 years ago on that and overshadowed Tyler
That was the best we've heard Wayne in years. Let's hope CV is anything like that
Lil Wayne is one of those rappers that can be really good when he wants to. His verses on "SMUCKERS" by Tyler and "Mad" by Solange come to mind
related no contest
brockhampton is unironically the best hip hop this year but Sup Forums memes it as some mainstream shit.
What is the Sup Forumscore hip hop this year then?
hip hop is supposed to be dumb fun and nothing more. it's fast food music. rappers that try otherwise almost always fall flat on their face
that being said, brockhampton is really pumping out some dumb fun music this year
really makes one think...
dude black lives matter lmao
a lot of shit taste in this thread desu
Enjoy his last album.
since this thread is about rap
is there any rap songs where the music is something like crystal castles
Yes check out Tedy Andreas - Mad Illusions
Real nigga spotted.
Scum fuck flowerboy has been the album that i have come back to most, this year.
The instrumentation, the mix, the fluidity between tracks, the lyrics, the singing the progression.
As someone who makes music for a loving, tylers new album has been the most impressive and enjoyable album so far.
BTW I dislike all of tylers previous projects.
LIL B!!!!!!!!
BLACK KEN!!!!!!!!
Billy Woods - Known Unknowns
I should really listen to this. Love Dalek but for some reason didn't bother to listen to this or the last album.
sup dumbass
>this hasn't been posted yet
Shit taste desu
and someone could tell me the best r&b albums of 2017?
>My girl get diarrhea when she poo poo poo poo poo
What did he mean by this?
Im the same person buy the way guys
Sadistik bad thread
No Milo love?
second comment in the thread
correct choice ends the thread

not an album or i'd agree
It's either 4:44 or PGLTM, Rick Ross' album was surprisingly good too.

This along with any mach-hommy release.

That was last year buddy, foh.
Thot Breaker was mostly disappointing, Droptopwop shattered expectations for a Gucci tape. ALL bangers
Fahim's multiple drops were better.
Both of these and the Billy Woods album.
rap died a decade ago. you're listening to ape emo.
Check these two tracks out
