Well, I like to think of war as a sociopath.

He wears a charming smile and revels in his own pride, tossing aside people all around him so he can climb to the top. With a short temper and incredible intelligence, he's very dangerous...

He looks like a crisp-cut young man, wearing a soldiers's uniform, positively beaming with self confidence and determination- But you know deep down inside all of the horrible things he's done to wear that badge on his chest.

Yes, he's protected people from outside threats- but he hurts his own friends too if they get in the way. War is heartless, handsome and horrible.

Typical American tourist.

someone fucked up inside, like you need to stand in his shoes to see kinda fucked up.

He's your somewhat of a chad half brother who you've spent your whole life with. He always leaves town just long enough for you to miss him, and when he comes back he comes back busting down your door with a 12 pack and a shit load of cool stories. Sometimes your adventures are lighthearted little adrenaline rushes, sometimes you both get wasted and you find out how deep and thoughtful the guy can really be.
He always stays in town just long enough for you to realize what a loud and obnoxious prick he is though, and you become sick and tired of shit until he disappears again. But in the end, he's still a part of who you are and what you know, and you always start to miss him again, and fondly remember the coolest parts of your time together, until he comes back around a few years later, and he never changed.

The father of all things.

He's reliable and never changes

Well said
