Same opinion. Like his podcasts.

His comedy is pretty shit. Very few of his jokes are original/funny.

has some good podcasts and some fucked up ideas. his comedy is interesting cuz it comes from a place of strength. as opposed to the uisual self loathing. overall i like him

His comedy is sooo fucking weak.. his podcast is sometimes okay.... he seems kinda dumb tho.

He's a pretty interesting guy, both his stand-up and podcasts are pretty good. The odd one might be kind of shit, but it isn't because of Joe normal, just the people on his show. But he has to change the way he talks with people depending on who they are, he excels at that.

His comedy is awful but the fact that his podcast is so big his comic friends kiss his ass but I have to assume they shit talk him behind his back. Guys not funny at all. I do like his podcast most of the time, it really depends on the guest. He def has some shit tier guests from time to time.

his best podcasts are the ones with his friends where they just smoke weed and crack each other up. im actually watching this one right now
youtube.com/watch?v=wL9IXNw-lSE

Yeah, I agree. He's pretty good at being hospitable and really getting his guests to come out of their shell on the podcast.

he's a cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything

I just watched that one earlier, and yeah, the more relaxed episodes are for sure the best

Had literally no respect for him until he revealed that he was addicted to Quake and spent 10k a month in the 90s for a T1 internet connection in the 90s. I thought that was interesting.

Does anyone have any good videos of him losing his shit or freaking out? I feel like he takes the moral high ground on everything and it would be hilarious to see him freak the fuck out

That sentence was redundant sorry

Yeah he used to play hella Quake. I wonder if he was any good haha

anyone hear the story about how that Aubrey Marcus dudes mom owns Onnit dot com and is pretty much just a snake oil salesman. Serisouly I heard she's a "doctor" chiropractor

>we'll do it live!!!!!!!!!!! WE'LL DO IT LIVE!!!!!!!!!
nothing like that no. but theres the carlos mencia alterccation. that was sweet

I saw that shit back in the day, you gotta give the dude props for that though. He spoke out when everyone else was too pussy

youtube.com/watch?v=gdugSUFbzws

look up Doug Stanhope he is a fucking God to me i love that dude so much

Niiice man I'll check him out. Do any one you Sup Forumsros have any suggestions for good stand up comics?

Guys definitely cool but let's not pretend that young Jamie isn't the heart and soul

He isn't funny but he's interesting and does interviews well. Those podcasts are way too fucking long though. Thankfully only every third or so is worth listening to. You can skip all of the episodes with other comedians, it's just them pushing their garbage Netflix special.

Joey Diaz. Jim Norton. Bill Burr. Tom Segura. Doug Stanhope. My Fav

Even joe wouldn't say that he's a great standup. He's a good host who gets great guests and gives them a platform to say what they want without censorship or time limits. He knows when he needs to direct the conversation and when to sit back and let the guest do their thing which is very important. His Ben Shapiro podcast was the best one I've seen yet.

He's full of shit. He thinks of himself as some humble and self-reflecting person but has a ridiculous ego and gets super defensive whenever he's challenged. Also listening to him give credence to whacked out conspiracy theories is annoying as hell.

I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt for years now but his narcissism is too much for me.

I still like his show from time to time though.

I really like Ben Shapiro, I havent really heard him say ANYTHING I can disagree with... Does this make me "alt right"? lol

tom segura .... i found out about him from joe.... joe made a lot of comics huge.... but dude... Tom Segura omfg. hilarious. has like 3-5 specials on netflix and a podcast with his wife (shes a comedian, but a woman) called Your Moms House

kek wtf

Your high school psychology degree is showing.

Its cuz you're a beta male and his confidence and being open to new ideas intimidates you.

Mommies in da house??!!

Hit and miss
overall better then most
A for effort and variety

I agree with a lot of what he says although he's said some stuff about teachers that sho s he has no idea what he's talking about at times. As someone in the field I can say that he's dead wrong on education.

nothing is more annoying than drunk/high people spewing nonsesnse about quantum this, dimensions that, thinking they've got it all figured out

are you a physicist? no you're not. you just got high and sat in your isolation tank and thought you achieved nirvana you deluded idiot

i'm a fan of his mma commentating, lol @ his bigfoot show, don't care about podcast, hit or miss on comedy. just realized he's a very hard working guy too.

when he is doing a podcast with the guys he made famous he can tend to be a douche or if he has to maintain his liberal coolness he can be a douche.... he can have bad podcasts from time to time but i think he is legit and the fact he gets such amazing guests and lets them speak is fun to listen to...

Go home, Joe Rogan.

someones upset

>not realizing it's comedy
some people are only upset because they're stupid.

I like both his podcast and comedy. He admits that he’s stupid and wants to learn from different types of people.

>maintains liberal coolness
>call him douche twice
>he is legit

yeah you can tell he's just kidding when he talks about it all the time and has actually educated professionals on his shown and tries to be on their level. he's just kidding though lmao comedy

He's as gay as the day is long. Ask any New York gay man. Everybody has a Joe a Rogan story

dude they are awesome.... yes cristine jeen can get low and loose but tommy always keeps the ship afloat... i fucking love the water champ tommy buns segura

Except for those wife and kids.

wait, really? This wouldn't surprise me. Can you elaborate?

I've heard that too actually. I think there's a subreddit actually created to try and "out" him and his multitudes of nonsense. The subreddit is joerogan2 I think. Pretty interesting stuff about shady shit he's done

If you listen to him he at least has the decency to say ‘i don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m an idiot’ before he goes on those tangents.

The difference between him and you is that he gets to speak to real physicists fairly regularly, and they compliment him on his thought processes and ethics.

only hear him talk about it in context of drug humor.
if he "has actually educated professionals" incorporated, then what's the problem?

His comedy is shit tier, but he works constantly, so it's not as shit tier as it was when he started.

His podcast isn't very good. I listen to a ton of podcasts, and I find people who are into his show pretty much just listen to his show. Once you're exposed to better produced shows with better formats, you never go back. Plus, all the shows spun off of his have been ass.

As a UFC commentator, again shit tier. Every fighter they have commenting on the promotion now is better than Joe, including Felder, who's barely worked. He got in early so people have nostalgia for him.

So basically, Joe is a super mediocre comedian, podcaster, sports commentator and actor. But hell, he was a great reality tv show host, so there's that.

Haha "Christine". That was hilarious

He appeals to my "dude weed lmao" level of comedy. Like I'll put him on while I'm doing cardio or working out. His comedy isnt deep and its just stupid enough to get a laugh so I use him as background noise sometimes.

Except has been married since 2008 and has two daughters.

That's probably why ppl dont like him as much, comedy that isnt dissing yourself tends to get stale after awhile

>not knowing there's a HUGE community of closeted gay men who get married and have kids to hide the fact that their gay.
Ever hear of a beard bro?

Eh. There's plenty of people out there who swing both ways. Like.... a lot more than you'd imagine. Wife, kids and all.

Being gay and being married with kids are not mutually exclusive.

I like his podcasts, but he doesn't seem to think too hard about the ideas he talks about. I don't know if it's because he's stoned in most of them or what, though.

That being said, he also does this kind of irritating thing where he'll be totally chill and interested but at some random point half way through an interview he'll decide to take a stand on some random singular point and not back down from it, no matter how obscure or irrelevant the point is, or how much of an asshole he comes across as when he does it.

>but uh, for the viewers who might not know these terms, can you define what '____' means?
>yeah, i mean my viewers might not have seen your stuff or know what the terms mean
>my viewers

everybody watching an interview with Sargon of Akkad knows what "SJW" means Joe

This, joe says in almost every joke that he's an idiot for saying that, or cause of weed.

I enjoy his podcasts and he's pretty funny.

I'm a little over how he's got such Zen advice for everyone "it's so simple" just run hills and eat clean. Meanwhile he's on trt, gets stem cell shots, is quite wealthy, has hair transplants, and smokes tons of weed. All of which I am definitely ok with but don't preach how carbs and wheat are all that is wrong with people when your having test and stem cells shot in your ass weekly. Everyone on this board would be in better shape/have a better mode with hormone shots.

He gets shots? huh. interesting

>has hair transplants
wut? He's completely bald...

Podcast are super repetitive. He gets to interview most of the people he wants and yet hasn't learned a fucking thing. He talks about shit he doesn't know WAY too much. Some of them are fun to listen to, but they are few and far between today.

>brain damage
>weed
>hurr Trump
>MMA
>brain damage
>talking over someone
>weed
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Yes, the tooth-and-nail arguing over an irrelevant point thing is super annoying. I feel sorry for his guests when it happens.

Louis ck

>I don't like how tough guys aren't smart guys.
>Also I take it personally.
>And I expect people on podcasts to not just be assholes in a room in their house. They need to be educated.

Shutup dude. She's not here to hear how smart and cool you are.
And she doesn't give a shit at all.

It's 2017, you don't need a beard these days.

This

I think he had a hair transplant way back in the day.

If you're a celebrity who runs a super popular podcast and has a thriving standup career and you dont want people to know you're gay... Ya do

Being a gay celebrity in 2017 doesn't hurt you.

he is good stoner comedy. I hate how he tries to end his 1hr sets with a big drawn out physical comedy piece outta nowhere.

Joe shooting the shit with his friends on the podcast is 10x funnier than his actual standup.

he embarrassed himself on drunken peasants

He admitted several times that he's on trt "because as we age, our test lowers" bullshit. Your test is still in normal range but higher test makes your muscles bigger and stronger. Many people do it.

He's a fucking shouting silly fucking guinea. Big deal.

I forgot who the guest was, but he shows his scars on the back of his head and explains that they took at first and then fell out.

can we make this a general podcast thread?

top 3 for me
1.stuff you should know(a brief shakedown of a specific somewhat interesting topic)
2. bill burr(bostonian usual observational comedy)
3. lore(spooky stories)

I like his podcasts and I enjoyed his comedy, he keeps updating it, keeps making new stuff and tries to stay on the ball I can appreciate the craft and see his new specials every time, also when he is in the comedy store in his zone he is amazing

Just because it doesn't technically hurt you doesn't mean it would be good for his career

Bill burr was great before Mia. He's worked so much of his inner anger out on stage that he's just not as good as he used to be. Still love him. Seen him live twice now.

Podcast is good most of the time, and he does enough of them that you can skip the ones you don't like and still have plenty of content.

His comedy is about average for as long as he's been doing it.

However, he does get a pass on everything from me just from being on News Radio.

>HAD
He has a bit about hair transplants.
>Getting hair transplants is like taking a young happy and healthy couple and moving them into a neighborhood where everyone is dying.

unemployed podcastlet detected. you'll like "your mom's house" with tom segura.

He's not that funny but his podcast is one of my favourites. He's an excellent interviewer and his guests are almost always interesting.

He has absolutely no talent in any field, but he has got far.

He is an inspiration to us all, work hard and you shall achieve.

He'd make a lot of money doing porn.

Oh dude, I'm not convinced he's gay at all. I'm just saying it's not an impossibility.

>world class billiards player
>can obliterate your life with one kick
>former world class quake player

I don't think it has anything to do with his career. I think he's just very much in denial and has some deep rooted issues with his masculinity.
His life seems to revolve completely around dudes and masculine dude shit. It's like fulfilling all your gay desires in the most (seemingly) ungay way possible.
