Any medfags here? I need help and best way to describe my situation is greentext story
>6 year old me >allergenic to bees >*gets stung* >too much of a pussy to stab myself with epipen >substitute teacher does it without even needing it or knowing how to use it >needpoint goes into calf on right leg >go to hospital because why the fuck not lets make a big scene about this >I'm alone except for some teacher assistant who had no idea that the sub gave me the pen shot >doctors finally comes in, gives me benadryl, leaves >4 hrs later, you're good to go home whenever >med bill... 1200$ >parents finally pick me up from hospital >feel something in my leg, its the tip of the epipen im sure. >told its just a wound that will heal from the shot. >16 years later tip is still in there.
Tonight is the night the tip come out. My tools: a razor blade, 91% rubbing alcohol, some tweezers, my hands.
Already made a few small nips, fuck ton of blood, currently waiting for blood to clot up and watching how to vids in mean time. Cant find anything tho so my question is if any medfag here has done some small scale shit like removing a bb that had healed over or anything similar and have tips how to take this shit out? I cant seem to get a percise cut deep enough but there is also a bit of plasma like fluid coming out, I'm guessing thats the sac that has surrounded the foreign object all these years.
Plz help anons
Ethan Long
If there were something in there, the body would've pushed it out by now.
James Taylor
I will help you user how would you like to communicate I rather we not use Sup Forums if you have Snapchat add me here
Expose3thots
Gabriel Ortiz
Seems fishy, rather not. Thx tho
Jacob Bell
Your lose user wish you the best
Justin Cox
not true, surgeons routinely leave foreign items in bodies during surgeries (often just cotton wool) and it stays there pretty much permanently
Oliver Perry
How do you know this? It definitely feels like the tip is in there still. Smaller than a bb. I'm pretty sure ive moved it around a bit too
Jack Diaz
lol make sure to boil the razor user and you have my snap if ya need me
Sebastian Parker
Used alcohol on it. Is that good?
Gavin Adams
Medfag here Go see a fucking doctor Alcohol does not sterilize instruments completely Go see a fucking doctor
That'll be 600$ for this consultation
Kevin Evans
Nurse here. Unlikely that the tip of any needle broke off and stayed in your leg. chances are is that is is scar tissue making a cyst. I would like a pic of the leg.
Parker Barnes
Use a super powered magnet you dingus.
Landon Anderson
Show us a decent pic of where you think the tip is? Going to a doctor would be the best idea
James Davis
...
Daniel Perez
Yes... that's in the body cavity... It's a completely different situation if it's literally lodged shallow in flesh.
Matthew Miller
...
Hunter Williams
Can you see or feel the thing in there? I'd wave a magnet over it see if anything happens
Levi Phillips
A cyst makes sense. But for 16 years???
Elijah Garcia
Yeah a cyst would form and just lay benign there
Benjamin Campbell
I for one, vote cut it open and go diggin
Blake Wood
No magnets, definitely feel it move and im pretty sure i hit it with the razor im using. Just taking a sec to type this then maybe deeper incision
Matthew Evans
Dubs might confirm it but i might just go ahead nd dig around to see. How would i go about the cyst.
Caleb Collins
Alright be careful of major blood vessels
Henry Russell
If it is a cyst either just leave it or go to the doc and get it removed Not a doc idk
Easton Rodriguez
I support the nurse's hypothesis. If you go digging and get an infection and decline medical attention because you have no insurance you could lose your leg, or die from blood infection.
>wtf r u doin nigger
James Richardson
Nigger? Im privileged white male. Im good bruh.
Cooper Foster
Wouldn't help you anyway.. Most likely stainless. (non-ferrous)
Liam Hughes
well get cutting white boi
Brayden Evans
Thx user!
Isaiah Bailey
Yeah, dig around in it without clean materials. Let some shit like Staph get in there too! That'l' push it right on out. Might as well pack it with TP you just wiped your ass with too just to make sure that the E-Coli can do its job....
Look man, I am sorry that someone F'ed you over years ago with an Epipen but it looks most likely like scar tissue. Scar tissue can stay in you body (most painfully muscle) and cause problems but don't go digging in your body with dirty tools and a dirty practice. Have you ever had weeping, drainage or even a head on the site you are carving at?
Carson Myers
LOL, I've got stuff stabbed in my hand from back in the day
>1999 >sixth grade at the time >in math class >desks lined up in rows >rude bitch walks along back row of desks hitting everyone's paper with mechanic pencil >I try and catch it because idiot >stabbed in thumb >piece of graphite still visibly buried beneath skin 18 years later
Xavier Diaz
Same nurse guy... If you are that privileged; THEN GO TO A FUCKING DOC!
Camden Price
That certainly isn't true. I've still got graphite stuck in my skin from when someone stabbed me with a pencil in elementary school.
Connor Carter
medical student here
don't be a retard. if you dig enough it will get infected and then you'll be paying for antibiotics. go to an urgent care and have the nigerian doctor there take a look
Caleb Campbell
this to the max but since you already cut more post pics
Zachary Taylor
Me too. I have a piece of graphite in my left palm. Can still see it. Pretty neat.
Checked.
Ayden Rodriguez
you have the slithest idea how easy it is to catch some disease in a open wound.
u think surgery room are sterile for what?
Nicholas Williams
trips suggests all
Jonathan Morris
Hey, my first trips ever.... GO SEE A FUCKING DOCTOR Vs. CUTTING YOURSELF!
Christian Mitchell
#11 sterile scalpel, some tweezers heated to red on stove and then stored on alcohol, some betaine and sterile gloves. Shave your hairy ass leg and shower, apply betaine, go dig it out. Use sterile dressings and some triple afterwards and you'll be right as rain.
Isaac Myers
I still have a fucking piece of the metal part on a pencil from when I sharpened the eraser side in like 3rd grade stuck under my nailbed
also newfag welcome nice trips
Henry Brooks
Graphite is a different story. Not like a stainless steel medical needle. Graphite can stay in the body indefinitely.
Dylan Peterson
cant fix stupid i guess this is why we should not have universal health insurance weeding out the imbeciles will strengthen the herd
Zachary Harris
I get worse cuts every day then this wanker is trying to extract. Shit happens. Anyone working a reasonably manual labor job has had far worse, wiped blood on shirt and finished the damn job before tending the wound. People are such vags now.
Aaron Davis
In the shower currently. Sterilizing tweezers now.
Pic fagmiliar
Carter Reyes
TSA agent here, X-ray it first dingus. If you're in the Reno area I'll do it for you after 8 PM
Blake Cruz
Nice quads
Xavier Sanders
Yeah, because that is easy to get a hold of. Maybe suggest he gets an autoclave for his supplies too. Anyone outside of the medical field or doesnt know someone inside the medical field cant get most of what you asked for.
Also, I would love to hear what he should do for wound care post-op?
Jace Gomez
Im a connecticuck
Alexander Murphy
I wouldn't let any TSA agents I have ever met walk my damn dog. High school dropout lazy niggers on a power trip
Gabriel Green
Op here, didnt think much about cleaning the wound after. Any house hold remedies? I have peroxide and alcohol and anti bacterial cream, will that do?
Owen James
Well, I hope it went well. I hope that it doesnt come back. I hope you dont get an infection. I just wish you should have listened.
Matthew Wright
Well aren't you charming
Adrian Price
dubs quads checked
Luke Rivera
You can order all of this on Amazon for like 10 bucks. I keep scalpels in my bathroom for first aid. Like hell I'm going to let some rank breath Indian doctor at emergency medical debride the edge of a small wound or splinter and charge me a $80 copay and wait around a room with actual sick people.
Nathan Wilson
Isopropal alcohol followed by Peroxide then CLEAN dressings for a couple of weeks. Buy some island dressing and neosporin form an CVS/Walgreens
Julian Brown
Come through Atlanta. Hartsfield Jackson TSA are pretty much people that used to take trash out for MARTA and given 2 weeks training and some power. Security theater. They ain't stopping shit except fingernail clippers
Aaron King
How much would it cost to get it removed at the hospital? I'm from Canada, so it's free here.
Xavier Gutierrez
TSA guy. does every airport have those full body scanners now? last time I went to an airport was 2013 and we use to have those FBS in Afghanistan in 2012. fun to play with.
Andrew Anderson
Depends on location, country and insurance. With my (USA) insurance most quick care clinics are under 30 min with me and about $20.
Ayden Harris
If you go to the ER, does it raise your premium? lol. How much without insurance?
Michael Thompson
With insurance maybe $200. If you have a really plush plan maybe $80. If you go to the ER maybe $1200 and a hospital aquired infection
Austin Young
Depends on the insurance. It could cost up to (guestament) $7000 depending on labs, scans and vaccines (tetanas) needed. then they ask for a revisit with some specialist and blah, blah, blah... Its a bad system here without insurance. For me: last serious incident (SVT) cost me about $50.
Xavier Young
Jesus dude I'd say move here to Canada but if you know anything about bill c-16 ya might not want to
Thomas Russell
im surprised you didnt think to tear it out earlier if it were me id have ripped it out of my skin years ago with whatever i had around just because i couldn't deal with it knowing its there.
Juan Taylor
Did as this user said. Giving up for now.
Result: complete failure with more knowledge about possible cysts and foreign objects in the body.
Thanks to all you for helping
John Gutierrez
So no needle yes cyst? I'd definitely go to the doc at some point and just get it checked out bro. Better safe than losing your leg or paying a ton for meds
Lucas Hall
Boooo ...Booooo this man...
Ryan Richardson
I doubt ill lose my leg but im going to the doctors for a physical and im sure theyll recommend what to do next or refer me to a local specialist.
Andrew Clark
Alright nurse fag again.... Keep it clean and covered for about 2 weeks (depending on the incision depth). If issues continue to occur, got to doc and hate teacher for not putting Eppi in thigh.
Tyler Nelson
Good idea. Just making sure you won't just let it fester lmfao
James Campbell
Nah, with insurance stuff is quick here and really on demand. I can get out of a hospital in less then a day with insurance and if I need it I can get OT/PT/ST the next day. Medicine here is great but it has been mad into capitalism with insurance companies which is bad.
Levi Wood
Yeah, fuckin dumb bitch, right? That was back in 00' though, when times were simple and you didnt get in trouble or sued for trying to save someone.
Anthony Ortiz
Woah, sorry to strike an never man; But people still got in trouble and sued back then too.
