I am an Executive Operations Manager

I am an Executive Operations Manager.
My salary is roughly 345k.

I know a lot of people are frustrated in regards to finding a job. I can answer questions to help with this. Or maybe other work related or financial related questions.

There is a reason out of 100 resumes I will probably toss 97 at first glance.

what do you look for on a resume?

do you toss resumes cause you dont want unlucky people working with you?

Actually, could I ask the ethics of being fired for sexual harassment without both evidence and me knowing who claimed I sexually harassed them? It also never went on a record or had place involved.

that's not 345k. that's like 175k

On a resume, a FULL page. If you have 10 lines or half a page or 3/4. HR wont even read them and they will never make it to my desk.

You would be amazed how many people may have a great cover letter, portfolio, and somehow a very generic 3/4 page resume. Literally fill the fucker with anything. Just put the effort.

Do you honestly believe that you as an individual are worth more than 10x your neighbor?
Do you believe you actually work harder and deserve more than the people in your company who have been there longer than you making barely a tenth of your salary?

What's your hat size?

Why do you toss most at first glance?

dont want to employ unlucky people

Haha.

It depends on your state. Some states are at will, and the can let you go for anything. If you truly believe you are innocent hire an attorney, if you have a good enough case they will do it for free until you win your lawsuit and they will take about 40% normally. Or you can hire by the hour. However people are very sensitive right now to this so I would suggest moving on. Sorry man.

you're an idiot. 14,000 * 26.

I asked op fuckface, also kek

executive bonuses maybe?

Dropped out of high school now a 21 year old beet can't get a job anywhere even mac Donald's because I cost more then the 16 yr olds and I'm too dumb for college to get educated that's why I dropped out of HS any tips what can I do with my life or was I too much of an idiot during school and should just KMS because shit not gonna change

found the burn out 99%er.
sorry he got a useful degree and you majored in africana studies or womens lit. dumb ass.

how cancerous is your HR department?

Learn to enjoy the little that you have. You're a 1% as compared with an Indian or African

Can you really calculate that bad?

Do you not know what a gross salary is?

The lowest paid person at my company made 55k this year and they are 22 years old.

My worth is based on the decisions I make on behalf of the company. I make sure it grows, creates and retains earning. Millions of dollars. As much as I personally like helping people out or thinking the best of people. The truth is most people could not do my job as well as I do. They frankly could not make the correct decisions, some of them not being made years in advance to correct issues. Business are like ships they can sink in the night but to steer them on course takes years.

My helmet size is a medium in Leatt

Lol as if just the right piece of paper magically increases your human value multifold that of another

What field do you work in?

How did you manage to get into that job? I currently slave away as a law student and can barely survive, even though the grades are good.

>Cheque amount 0.00

are you jew?

Lack of effort see As a company think of HR as your first legal defense. Personally as someone who has hire all races, and beliefs, I think sometimes though that fear mongering is out of control. Which hunts for things cost so much money, time, and good employees. There are snowflake employees for sure and not much can be done about except fire them.

I want someone who is going to work, earn money for themselves and the company, and be a decent human.

I don't understand this... how can I enjoy being a welfare reviving fuck I live pay to pay and off instant ramen shits hard I just don't know how to get my foot out of the door in terms of getting a job even a shitty minimum wage one just a job

Become a cop. No degree required, just cop school. Although a criminal justice degree will get you more in certain states.

how the fuck do you get a resume down to a single page? 6 point font?

What advice do you have for a beta male who always feels compelled to compromise with his employees' needs? I just want my employees to know that I care about them, and that I'm not a douche boss. But I wonder if it'd be nearly impossible to reach your position in life without ruling with an iron fist or screwing over many employees along the way.

Nigga I'm not sure if it's really you, but I saw this thread months ago. I remember that exact reply. Was it you?

fuck Leatt

I am in Chemicals. None Pharm

Honestly a lot of life is luck. I know people with better degrees, and colleges. However I was able to luck into some situations when I was younger and I made the best of them. My current job I was actually recruited and hand picked.

Luck though as much as it matters is only half the game, if I fucked off and did not apply myself. I would be homeless. TBH when I was 19 I was homeless and I would shower in a buger king bathroom before I went to my 2 part time jobs.

Google recommended having only 1 page for a resume, so when I applied there (after being reached out to by a recruiter) I shaved it down to 1 page.

I increased the margins by as much as possible and removed some skills that didn't make any difference to the position I was applying to, and condensed the summarization of my experience at related work positions.

I didn't get accepted to Google (their tech interviews ask mundane algo questions) but I did take a software engineering job for $72k/yr elsewhere (using the 1 pg resume)

Its because you throw them out without looking, isn't it. I wouldn't want unlucky people working for me either

How do I take the next step in my career?

I've been a Business analyst for a ~4 years (large telecom business) and I've had a good track record with recommending financial decisions. I've written a couple of papers on operational inefficiency at the company that include suggestions to fix said problems. It seems no matter how well though out my ideas are, or how big the potential gains, my ideas are simply dismissed by senior management. After 10 formal proposals shrugged off by superiors, I'm starting to lose faith that my method will work out; what should I do to climb the ladder rungs asap?

Burger Kings don't have showers.

Not op but yes, he deserves more. If what he did was easy you'd be doing it too faggot. Same reason I make more than you

That's because it is not a check it is a paystub, I do direct deposit.

Some managers hate more then 1 page. I like it as long as it is pertinent info. I don't care if you have experience in Microsoft Word. YOU SHOULD lol.
You would be amazed how many people send 1 resume to 50 different companies and it is 1/2 page or less.

You are not their friend and it is your job to advocate for the company. There is nothing wrong with being nice. However you are there to do a job. I would really suggest if you care enough to start reading books on leadership.

I did post once before but I do not believe the instance you are talking about was me.

haha prefer fox?

Is there a trick to standing out on a resume?

Except it does.

A well written, detail explained full page of their abilities qualifications and what they plan for in the future with the company is worth a lot more then some hastily written shit.

Sorry man life is what it is, if it sucks put more effort in. Humans are capable of amazing changes and actions.

Mention all the skills they're asking for in the job application in some way, and it will stand out more.

Don't ask for so much pay just because you're older or pick a really shitty job. Roofers are taking Mexicans, and here in PA Mexicans are demanding 15 an hour you fuck. Fucking millennials

The 1 page or more is really manager dependent. ALL though say NO LESS then 1 full page.

I know this is scary however statistically most people move up in career paths via new jobs. You are much less likely to move up staying at the same company. You will either be swiftly moved up and you will know you are on the right path or you will be wondering which means you are not as valued as you would like to be.
When you are homeless a sink is a shower, I should of clarified.

Which is still going to show what was deposited, lying cumsock.

Thanks bro! I'll start looking around for better jobs tonight

Ever get any funny looks when people walked in on you "showering"? Any funny stories?

I am unsure what to tell you.

Not sure if ignorance is from millennial comfort... They use the sink and hand soap... Homeless people I mean

I would take the paper towels wet them down and go into the stall. The embarrassing thing was the cute girls at like 5 am knowing that I was obviously homeless. Because I would also sleep at a table someday when I didn't have AM work.
I would wear work clothing under my old clothing to protect it. Also taking my backpack to job interviews raised questions. I told them it was my text books I didn't have time to put away.

bartender. you can pour a beer? mix a rum and coke? hold a conversation longer than 2 minutes?

Most people in this country don't use the sinks in Burger King to shower.

Thanks for sharing the experience

Sorry to elaborate it was a horrible depressing time in my life. In the dead winter of Utah for like 8 months of hell.

When I get a stack of resumes, I immediately throw half of the stack into the shredder.
I don't want unlucky people working for me.

Go mow lawns I have friend who do this and they make 45 an hour. Learn to hussle, be motivated. Does the work suck? Yes it fucking does and that is EXACTLY why someone will pay you. Don't buy an xbox buy a lawnmower.

Do you do any illegal business on the side to make that 345k go up a little i mean, nobody would know

Tell me how influential LGBTWTFLOL+ is regarding application. Don't bullshit me, I just lost the grand all of entry jobs because of this. Realistically, how often does political correctness take precedent for applicants?

Net Pay: nearly 50% of total earnings

How does it feel to be totally fucked by gubament and socialist retards who willing give said gubament the power to steal so much from you so they can be lazy fucks and get low quality, free shit?

>Im sorry user, I thought I had it bad for having to pay $700-$800 a week in taxes, but you sir are getting reamed.

No way haha. I think the IRS is very much more in-tuned to high income individuals and business. They are not going to audit someone making 40k, they will audit me.

OP how can I be like you I want to know how to be a cool guy like you how did you get there was it really just luck? Do you have any advice for us ?

This. If you aren't succeeding, you aren't trying hard enough motherfucker.

I guess most people in this country also don't know anything about other people in this country either? Ya, you're an idiot

I wont answer you question although I want to say this. Take it how you will. If I think you are going to be a distraction, drama, confrontational, emotional, petty, manipulative, etc etc. I will hire ANYONE other then you. I once did not hire someone because I found out he did not return a 200 dollar item back to a previous employer and lied to them about it for months instead of saying he no longer had it.

I personally view income tax as a form of slavery. I don't care if you want to tax me 90% on my purchases but don't take what I earn.

Understand that after it passes HR, your resume will be among a couple dozen that'll land on the man's desk. He's tired, he's busy, he's sleep-deprived, he hasn't seen his family, he still has work he didn't get to finish, and he wants to leave already. Now he needs to somehow quickly read through dozens of resumes.

Keep it simple, faggot. No one cares about your sissy feelings and embellishments. Your education along with 2 respectable and relatable-field jobs where you bulletpoint 4-6 of your major accomplishments should suffice. Use bullet points made up of just a few words that show off your success, and then a short sentence or two explaining. A reputable reference or two at the bottom if there's space.
Only put more than two jobs if you want to show that you have extensive experience working in that specific field. Obviously if you list more than two jobs, your bulletpoint accomplishments should be limited to 2-3 per job.

what did you study to be an executive operations manager? what did you do that, i mean how was your career?

If you are white, especially if you are male, never specify on your application.

this was shooped back in 1990..
Kek

You didn't answer my question.
Did you reach your position without every having to screw over employees along the way?

See Some people may think this is stupid but the best advice I can give anyone is, work hard, harder then others. You are ALL competing for the same life, so who wants it more?
Also my biggest advice is to make friends. Make connections. Make all the friends and connections you can. Nice Guy and Dumb Guy are not the same thing. Be likable. It will open doors you never knew existed and pay out years down the road.

The only people that don't think working harder pays off are idiots, or people that gave up halfway

This is pretty accurate. Those I am interested in I will then go on social media and find them.

Smoking weed, you're OUT. (Even if I may or may not smoke)
Lot's of partying, OUT
Cussing, and stupid controversial subjects plastered everywhere, OUT
Guns (I personally like guns) You're OUT

If I can find you publicly so can our business relationships. I can't have some VIP googling his new rep and seeing you being 14 on your 30 year old FaceBook page.

I got mad at the guns one, then realized that if you're so vain you've gotta post that son social media, any of it, that's the real problem...

Information Systems Management, I actually never finished my degree, I will be honest though I wish I had it.

Sorry I missed it. No, but you are my competition I will out perform you if I can. Sneaky shady ways really do get known and in good companies are not well thought of and will hurt you in the long run.

Exactly, I don't really care if you do or think any of those things but I need to know you can be professional in a VERY public light.

I have a master's degree in cs (inb4 'pajeet will take your job'), and I've been rejected so far by google, amazon, and a mid-sized company. I've been accepted by a company that does a few months of training (unpaid), then you work for them for a few years (under contract), starting off at basically minimum wage. It'll give me good experience, and maybe a foot in some doors, after the contract is up.

It's a great opportunity to learn, but it's scary to think about a few months payless, then low-tier salary. Am I doing the right thing?

what kind of donut do i bring to a job interview?

1 page front and back or just 1 side? jfc you try to come off like you're so fucking smart yet you can't even give the most basic fucking information which you deem absolutely essential!!

Hey, its business, the IRS shouldnt mess with it as long as youre organized it should be cool

I'm intelligent, but I hate dealing with people, and I despise meetings. I'm great at streamlining processes, creating effective policies, but I feel like my lack of people skills is holding me back. Do I have any chance at high level management?

I'm currently in school for Finance and have 1.5 years left before graduation. I want to be a CFP, what steps should I take to making that a little easier/more likely to actually happen? I've been denied from a few internships from very large financial firms already.

Why the fuck are you on Sup Forums if your life is set?

Why didn't you post the unedited version that the actual poster posted yesterday in the jobs thread?

maybe he first came here - like most - in 2006-2008 and just stuck to it.

Hey OP, no question but i just wanted to drop by to say this thread is pretty cool of you. You dont have to reply, just take a chuckle at the screen, put one thumb up and go "nice" just like i imagine one would.

Thanks mate.

I am none religious however I would suggest you start following Dave Ramsey financial advice. I think you may want to look at smaller employers as well. There is more then the big 3

Donuts make you fat :P

Who would do a front and back? Is this a book? You linked someone who isn't even me. It should be no less then 1 page, full of pertinent info so the hiring manager will know you wrote that resume for him/her and not the 50 random companies you sent it too. Whether a manager personally likes more then 1 page is very individual. I personally think more then 1 page of pertinent info shows drive.

You need to develop people skills. I wont lie to you. People hire people they like. Read 7 ways to win friends and influence people, and learn how to fake it.

Give me 10K or you're a bitch.

paypal.me/thentstain

Look for smaller companies, you will increase your chances, look to smaller towns and cities. Go further then others are willing, in all areas of your life.

I came here in 2007 I think. It stuck although I have had years of not being on here from time to time

Haha

I've heard Ramsey before, but I'm not sure what he's said about unpaid training. Currently, I've applied to about 150 companies, big and small, so no issues, there.

My question is more looking for your thoughts on unpaid training + mandatory work periods after. For a software dev, is this a good idea?

I know it seems silly but I am not rich. I have a life, it is blessed but not rich. When you see true wealth, it is scary. People cater to you because they wish they were you.

Move jobs

I don't have interns. However what I know of them especially in software is a lot of companies will churn them for a project and let them go once they get it down. It is truly free labor and IMO should be illegal. That said I think sometimes in a career you need to sacrifice and it can be scary. I would make sure you attached to a project that is longer lasting then your internship. Also have you looked at security? I have had a lot of friends get paid internships with that. I am sorry I can't give you more info about internships. I never did one, and none of my employees have with us.

How much is 1k to you? Do you burn through in like a week? Have you saved alot? Do you own a house/rent a house or apartment? Is it luxurious?

Dont have to answer all of them, equally curious to all of them and appreciate all answers. I just wonder what life is like for someone in that tax range. I always watch movies about people like you, i never expect to get to talk to them.

heres my resumæ:

My personal skills are growing ball hair

i can type and take phone

i once masterbatewanked off the eyeful tower

can i be your personal bodyguard or tech typists?

i can type

Some definite nuggets here. Thanks, op!

Do you think your effort is really worth that salary, OP?

I'm almost certain it's not.

1k is 1k, I grew up extremely poor and my father went to prison when I was 11 and from then on I was in foster care. I was homeless for a period when I was 19ish.
I have moments where I will spend 1k like I used to spend 10 dollars. Then like today, I was eating raman and I was thinking about how lucky I am and how far my life has come, and what it was like when I cooked flour and water once in a pan after I hadn't eaten in a couple days.

I save a good portion of my money, I am debt free. I do not own a home, I live in California but my house is decent 1900 sq FT , I have some luxury items but nothing fancy. I drive a paid off F150 that's 9 years old lol, and I have a couple high end dirt bikes also paid off. I am single with no kids. I never want to be married nor have a kid. I have a cat.

Too be honest my youth was so rough in relation to finances it has given me a sort or mental fuck. I always feel poor somehow. So a lot of my actions reflect that. Like I don't buy new clothing much because it just seems like a waste, I agonize over large purchases for months before I buy them lol like dirt bikes lol.

Says the guy who "showers" at fast food restaurants.

Nigga, he's a bachelor.
Money.
Bitches.

>I'm a lazy, incompetent fuck and I don't do my job 97% of the time.
I hope you're getting paid 345k cents per year you fraudulent sack of shit.

Hey OP I have some questions.

Do you have an IT Security department where you work?

If you do, what is the average salary?

Lmao how dumb are you? No wonder you are an executive chef at Wendy's
