Fellow movie theater employees:

Fellow movie theater employees:
Do we have a moral obligation to suggest something lighter for obese people?
e.g., bartenders can tell people "no" when they've obviously had too much to drink, can we do the same?

why movie theater people
why not fast food or convenience store people?

Thats a great way to open the company up to a lawsuit.

the real question is why do you give a shit if someone else wants to be a fatass? let them kill themselves with food so we don't have to look at them anymore.

If you want to risk your shitty job you can, because more than likely you’re gonna offend someone and end up fired and on social media for being a dumbass.
If you were smart, you’d load them up on extra butter and more sweet - let diabetes and heart disease do it’s thing and look like a model employee doing it.

Fuck movie theatres
>shit audio quality because of talking, eating and drinking sounds
>people who are late or are getting up to go to toilet
>cannot pause
>disgusting chairs even if they look clean
im srs moviegoers are idiots

>im srs moviegoers are idiots

nah brah...

Just high.

try it out... sounds like fun

"And can I get some extra butter on my popcorn please?"
"Sorry ma'am, I think you've had butter for the both of us already. I''ve also downgraded your size to a small. Have a nice day."

Oh the look on her face.

You'll windup up dead in murrica.

>"And can I get some extra butter on my popcorn please?"

I remember reading somewhere that AMC uses some kind of coconut oil to pop the corn.
Their popcorn had more calories than a big mac.

quality thread

"Excuse me, sir? I would like to offer you a free gym membership"

"what are you trying to say...THAT IM FAT?"

"No, but you are a fat fuck."

AMC uses coconut oil to pop yes, but most good popcorn is popped in coconut oil - its the high amount, that makes it so fattening. AMC uses a TON. If we got low scores on food, we were told to just pump more oil into the popcorn. Our seasoning salt is also super high cal.

When I worked at a theater I didn't care. The fat get fatter and the thin get thinner. If they need us to change their diet for them they deserve be obese

i like asking for a large cockporn and watching the reaction

>just pump more oil into the popcorn. Our seasoning salt is also super high cal.

niiiiiiiiiiice

>bartenders can tell people "no" when they've obviously had too much to drink
I'm pretty sure that in most places it's even illegal to sell alcohol to someone who's already intoxicated.
But if you suggest to a fat person that you think they need to lose weight you'll probably get fired when they complain that you insulted them. Also the alcohol thing is different because drunks are likely to hurt other people by doing things like trying to drive home. Fat people are just killing themselves.

You can say the same thing about drunks.

>Also the alcohol thing is different
ya, because people need food to live.
alcohol. no.

>doesn't talk about that one story where the fat mother smothered the baby
not always

Basically fats kill themselves slowly. Drunks kill themselves fast and sometimes kill others (drunk driving). Other than that... Don't see any more difference.

"That will be $18, plus tip."

>Drunks kill themselves fast

No. I personally witness drunks destroying themselves for years.
Fucking alcoholics are like zombies. They just keep living. Also, if there are any survivors from drunk driving, it's usually the drunks because their body is relaxed during impact. Some kind of science happens and they live.

they already started this at the theaters in my town.

parking. tip lot attendant.

buy ticket. tip ticket seller.

buy concessions. tip them.

other guy tears your ticket. tip.

trailers play. tip person next to you.

watch movie.

guy comes along shining flashlight. tip.

leave theater. tip.

it's beginning to get ridiculous

I work at a fast food joint and I honestly find myself in a moral quandary everytime some lardass walks in and orders a 1500cal meal for their small child. The adults I could give less of a fuck about, they know exactly what they're doing, but children being put down a path of lifelong diabetes and morbid obesity by their own parent's hand ... it's just despicable.

I try to subtly shill our smaller portion meals whenever these people walk in with children, but honestly I have had no success.

your not paid to care.

I don't think you (or anyone providing food in any job) do. If someone gets super drunk, they can be dangerous to themselves and also others around them, while someone who's fat is just hurting themselves aside from maybe bumping you and taking 2 seats on the bus.

By 2040 an estimated 15% of global healthcare spending will be on diabetes care with additional 5% unrelated from obesity. With worldwide public funding at an all-time adjusted low do you want to reconsider your point that this behaviour is "harmless"??

That's the US's vision of what capitalism is all about. Lots of people earning shit. Some people earning more but paying for every bit of it... And a pack of people living like gods.

Yes, capitalism is so evil and exploitative the people considered "poor" in the U.S. are middle class or even upper class in most countries.
