"showing off"? I don't know any of you fucks, I'm not trying to look cool; I'm anonymous.

u jelly?
pleb/10

you're trying to look cool for yourself because you are insecure

Sharing a list of books isn't trying to "look cool", user. Though, you must think I'm cool, since you're projecting. Good list of books, no?

good books op

fuck this faggot

dubs of truth

Magic mountain

Not a pleb. Just honest. And old enough to have grown out of any pseudo-intellectual phases.

>Not a pleb

I dont read fucking books lol

You are just retarded. If you actually matured, you would easily see the vanity and stupidity of mass media.

...

>you would easily see the vanity and stupidity of mass media.
What are you going off about?

>The Kingkiller Chronicle
>Wheel of Time series
>The Axis Trilogy
>The Inheritance Cycle
>Harry Potter series
>Rangers Apprentice series
>The Farseer Trilogy

Rendering anything that is not designed for mass consumption as pseud is moronic.

Hemingway's Islands in the Stream
Tolstoy's War and Peace
Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment
Hemingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls
The Black Pearl by John Steinbeck

Book Theif
Davinci Code
House of the Scorpian
Night (Jew book)
Catcher in the Rye
Ponyboy

And guess what faggits I'm still retarded the amount of books your read doesn't amount it is why

So what are you saying? Please provide clarity of thought.

Also I forgot to add the Art of Way by sang tzu

decent, but to be read with the most fictional mindset you can get into
>Catcher in the Rye
Good.

>And guess what faggits I'm still retarded the amount of books your read doesn't amount it is why
No, it's about what you get out of them.

Oh fuck I just thought we were posting what books we read not our favorties I fucking hate reading

Okay man. There is no point in arguing with you. Just keep to your comic book crap and adventure novels for kids.

>Art of War
Fucking hate this book. It's common-sense beyond belief; I will never understand why it's so popular.

>If you're enemy is stronger, and has way more men than you, don't attack!
No fucking shit.

Overall, yeah, you're pretty fucking stupid.

Got a good chunk on kindle, I don't buy tho. I just download .mobi files

Check out Joe Abercrombie's (adult) series and Richard K. Morgan's The Cold Commands / The Dark Defiles / The (something something) series. Two levels of fantasy higher than what you have listed, objectively.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
Misery by Stephen King
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

Agreed but perhaps if I were to read for entertainment I would be way more enthralled/absorbed into the book than if I were to read a book for school or something. I would likely get the entirety of the book if I were to be reading because I wanted compared to it being assigned to me

The Watchmen series of DiscWorld novels

*the dice man - Luke rhinehart
*the sell - Fredrik eklund
*Pause/Play -Yesim Bilgic
*Long Hard Road out of Hell - Marilyn Manson

I fucking said that I thought we were just posting books we read it is certainly not my favorite considering I played RTS games since a child I am aware

Yeah, I can't read shit if I'm told to. It's like being with friends, and they put on a movie you have no interest in, like Fast and Furious #54. Fuck that shit. I'd rather just get the summary online, or watch a video describing it.

Most of J.R.R Tolkien's stuff. Never really cared too much for most other books. There's been some here an there but I never explored much.

i'm pretty boring.

Rocket Men: The Epic Story of the First Men on the Moon

Countdown to Zero Day: Stuxnet and the Launch of the World's First Digital Weapon

Bind, Torture, Kill: The Inside Story of BTK, the Serial Killer Next Door
ill always remember this one because i had a 2nd shift job at the time and never even said hello to my co-workers.
i would sometimes walk down long dark corridors (only lit by the moonlight) behind a female coworker and feel pretty creepy after reading the book during break.

Definitely, who doesn't?
I don't think I'll ever understand B&T; gave that up awhile ago.

Great read. In particular, I found it interesting when Socrates talks about the "true philosopher", having such knowledge he "has got rid of eyes, ears, and the whole body." I.E. he's just a mind, essentially. It reminded me of the DMT documentary I watched, where they basically described the DMT trip as that of Socrates' philosopher.

>ITT: Anons decide your intelligence based on your favorite books.

I feel great, honestly. Glad you guys admire the books I've listed. Feels good :^)

now picture the chubby creepy guy at work who never talks to anyone is walking behind you in a long lonely dark hallway...holding a book with this cover.

>Think and Grow Rich
>Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy
>Brave New World

would slap that shit outta his hands and ask him 'you wanna fukn go m8'

It's hard to pick favorites, but I will say that dropping $200 everytime I walk into a bookstore is a huge pain in the wallet.

>doesnt read just has a bookshelf to look cool

Who the fuck thinks having a bookshelf full of books is cool? Its like the nerdiest shit you can do.

Mien Kampf and Protocols of the elders of Zion

>Dragonlance (any actually by Weiss and Hickman, other writers can leave)
>Piers Anthony's Incarnations series
>Piers Anthony's Apprentice Adept series
>The Silmarillion by Tolkein
>The Machine Man by Max Barry
>Orphanage and Orphan's Journey by Robert Buettner (the whole series is good but those are the best)
>Pre-Phantom Menace Star Wars Extended Universe novels (there's a lot of great ones)
>No Game No Life LN
>Konosuba LN

Roast me

would fukn rek ye m8

A bookshelf full of Stephen King doesn't make you look cool

>The Grand Design
>Dirac: Mystic of the Atom
>Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman
>Rise of the Horde
>Beyond the Dark Portal
>The Last Guardian

Ignore them, user. Jealous retards that don't read.

Same here, though. :/ But, I never regret it, honestly. Books are the one thing I can buy and be happy with. It's way better than spending $200 at a bar, at least.

Mentally challenged wookie.

I... I don't read...

how do u like being poor?

the story of the Vivian girls

>changes the words to make himself feel better

lol

Rating because rates get rates, I'm GOAT but I liked the Shy Little Kitten better
These are all fantastic and I thought about naming several but then my list would be too long.
It's a little juvenile at parts but you might like the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.
Discworld is great, I can't believe I forgot to list it.
You have good taste.

Also I guess I should list that most of my bookshelf is RPG rulebooks.

I don't "read" much anymore, now I've got two kids under age eight, but I still consume a lot of literature through audiobooks. Some people are purists and say that's a garbage way to get your books, but when I don't have the time to sit down and read, having a book on while I cook or am out shopping/errand running is great.

>Ponyboy
You mean The Outsiders?

This literary masterpiece

Not spending money on books doesn't mean i don't have it... It simply means I don't use it on books, m8.

>Foundation
>Gulag
>Heart of Darkness
>The Authoritarians
>The Tale of Genji
>1984
>The Old Man and the Sea

plebafuckying

No-read guy here. I simply prefer more efficient means of being told a story or learning about something than books... Try describing a sound using only text and no one will know what it truly sounds like... And people tell me the "use your immagination" bullshit... I could either do that or just hear the fucking sound and be done with it, then go and do something useful and more fun for me like cooking or improving on a skill...

>I don't think I'll ever understand B&T; gave that up awhile ago.
>>phenomenology of perception
>Haven't read.

if being and time resists you give the phenomenology of perception by merleau-ponty a try. He's a french philosopher who explored heidegger's philosophy within the purview of the 'lived body'. He basically uses all of Heidegger's insight in Being and Time and draws it out with practical examples/applications. His work on the phantom limb is some of the best philosophy I have ever read.
