i only read non-fiction. i'm pretty boring.
Rocket Men: The Epic Story of the First Men on the Moon
Countdown to Zero Day: Stuxnet and the Launch of the World's First Digital Weapon
Bind, Torture, Kill: The Inside Story of BTK, the Serial Killer Next Door ill always remember this one because i had a 2nd shift job at the time and never even said hello to my co-workers. i would sometimes walk down long dark corridors (only lit by the moonlight) behind a female coworker and feel pretty creepy after reading the book during break.
Jack Jenkins
Definitely, who doesn't? I don't think I'll ever understand B&T; gave that up awhile ago.
>phenomenology of perception Haven't read. >phaedo Great read. In particular, I found it interesting when Socrates talks about the "true philosopher", having such knowledge he "has got rid of eyes, ears, and the whole body." I.E. he's just a mind, essentially. It reminded me of the DMT documentary I watched, where they basically described the DMT trip as that of Socrates' philosopher.

Rating because rates get rates, I'm GOAT but I liked the Shy Little Kitten better These are all fantastic and I thought about naming several but then my list would be too long. It's a little juvenile at parts but you might like the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. Discworld is great, I can't believe I forgot to list it. You have good taste.
Also I guess I should list that most of my bookshelf is RPG rulebooks.
I don't "read" much anymore, now I've got two kids under age eight, but I still consume a lot of literature through audiobooks. Some people are purists and say that's a garbage way to get your books, but when I don't have the time to sit down and read, having a book on while I cook or am out shopping/errand running is great.

No-read guy here. I simply prefer more efficient means of being told a story or learning about something than books... Try describing a sound using only text and no one will know what it truly sounds like... And people tell me the "use your immagination" bullshit... I could either do that or just hear the fucking sound and be done with it, then go and do something useful and more fun for me like cooking or improving on a skill...
Lucas Roberts
>I don't think I'll ever understand B&T; gave that up awhile ago. >>phenomenology of perception >Haven't read.
if being and time resists you give the phenomenology of perception by merleau-ponty a try. He's a french philosopher who explored heidegger's philosophy within the purview of the 'lived body'. He basically uses all of Heidegger's insight in Being and Time and draws it out with practical examples/applications. His work on the phantom limb is some of the best philosophy I have ever read.
