I dont feel like there is a standout song in particular for nirvana

Cufk, Tish, Sips

Not even Moist Vagina?

Aneurysm
it includes the whole clean-dirty dynamics thing
cool chorus
great drums
peak Nirvana

runner up: In bloom

Thanks to Tobi Vail for making Kurt throw up.

maybe not the best nirvana song, but i only just today watched the live at paramount vid and holy shit endless nameless was amazing. a great climax to their best live video

Heart shaped box, but ok hear me out
The 2013 Albini mix

youtube.com/watch?v=I8GeyGyh9zk

If only they had played Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through the Strip on a taped concert.

All Apologies - Original Steve Albini 1993 mix

Lounge Act

Thanks to Tobi Vail for making Kurt get a tattoo.

Sappy, Serve the Servants or On a Plain

Sappy or Verse Chorus Verse?

Sappy aka verse chorus verse

if there is any, this very well could be it

Drain You, no questions.
There is a shit load of songs that are great, tho.
youtube.com/watch?v=8pN3NdAkZSM
Just look at the fucking energy, fuck.

the Mike Engles mix of Drain You from Outcesticide 6

This. Endless Nameless in paramount was fucking amazing. His voice fits so fucking well with the song. The part where Kurt went crazy and start destroying his guitar was the cherry on top.

But the live version can't replicate the toy noises.

School and Breed ate great fast paced song, territorial Pissings is my favorite. My favorite slower paced songs is Oh Me,
Where did you sleep past night, Dumb , and Sappy.

Dive or Milk It

Blew is fucking great. maybe not their best but still great

Floyd the Barber, Mr. Moustache, and Big Cheese are all better than Blew.

Their cover of The Man Who Sold The World

>Heart shaped box
No hearing out needed, It's probably the best.

if it wasn't for Lulu Nirvana would have the worst version.

Bowie's original had both better vocals and better instrumentation, just worse recording.

Midge Ure made the best version.

I don't want to sound like a snob
but this is the true best Nirvana song
>drums
>riffs
>chorus
youtube.com/watch?v=3M0gvrdkrbQ
in my opinion, is the song that patented the Nirvana sound you hear over Nevermind and the dirtier side of In Utero

>Not Downer

meh
that is a punk song, boi

Nirvana work best when they did short punk shit.

i have to accept the chorus is really good, but it is not peak nirvana, IMO (as much as i love territorial pissings, tourettes...)
it is lazy nirvana to me

>This was Kurt Cobain's attempt at a political song. In the song, Cobain laments on nuclear war, radicals who believe the world is going to end, and other issues. Said Kurt: "I was trying to be Mr. Black Flag Punk-rock guy... I didn't know what I was talking about."

>This song was included on Nirvana's album Incesticide after it's release on Bleach because it was a song Nirvana rarely played live and Kurt Cobain wanted people to hear it.

God damn it, Kurt. I also thought Downer was put on Incesticide because some copies of Bleach did not for some dumb reason.

Blandest, Aero Zeppelin, Dive, Floyd the Barber, Blew

I just pasted the description from a youtube vid of downer, so I don't know how legit this is

>Dive
fuck
that is good
i forgot that song
one of the best chorus, if not the best

'Here She Comes Now' on the '91 split of velvet underground covers with Melvins was Nirvana's best studio recording but nobody here has probably heard it. Here you go, you delightful bastards: youtube.com/watch?v=sJns_8i8yNE

I wish Big Long Now had been included on Bleach like it was originally tried. Kurt left it out because he felt the record had too many slow sludge shit but it is such a damn good song to be left to just Incesticide.

I remember the first time a friend lend me his Nevermind cassette tape (yeah)
the song that caught me the most was drain you
i played it a million times in a row, like that linkin park guy from that pasta

Lithium
Come As You Are (although it's Kind of a ripoff)
Territorial pissings
Aneurysm
Serve The Servants
Where Did You Sleep Last Night

Aneurysm and Territorial pissings are the best, in my opinion.

Killing Joke won anyway; Dave played drums on their 2003 reunion album.

aneurysm, the original version of about a girl off bleach, frances farmer will have her revenge on seattle

Lithium or Paper Cuts.
