A justification for the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Consider the following:

If America had not drop nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, then it's reasonable to assume that Japan would not have surrendered, meaning only way to achieve victory is through invasion of the mainland Japan, this would have taken an extra few months to prepare.

In this time, the USSR (who were in Manchuria) would have had time to prepare an invasion of their own, this would lead to a similar situation in Germany and Korea, where Japan would be partitioned between a communist and capitalist state.

If we look at North Korea, many millions have died from famine since its creation and its citizens live in abject terror and misery, compare that to the 200,000 lives that were lost in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it is reasonable to say their deaths were worth the sacrifice of half of Japan living in terror and misery.

North Japan, Best Japan

everyone's ignoring the elephant in the room

japan never asked for an apology

if they didn't deserve it before, they sure do now

there is no need to justify it
>more people would have died during an invasion
>communist north japan with the upper island annexed
>japan soldiers performed war crimes en masse and still didnt apologize for it

There's a lot of fags on this board asking for an apology however

Japan got cucked by the U.S.
end of story

Fucking Obama appologizing for 2 nukes, when The Japanese slaughtered and raped their way through south east Asia.

Fucking Liberals.

Nice Stalinist apologist shit. USSR annexation wouldn't of happened and the US invasion would of induced more net deaths on US soldiers and the Japanese populace.

Nuking Japan ended up with them becoming an ally that overcame the postwar challenge to become a major economic power.

That's what we're all saying though. Obama's apology tour is ridiculous.

Have you seen the museum? They pretty much are

Lame duck needs to cement his """"""""""legacy."""""""""" He's our 420eau before 420eau was relevant.

Yeah that sucks, please link to the 'apology' part.
We didn't get it in the States...

so much for japan never being conquered

Well they still aren't getting one.

>japan never asked for an apology
cause they never really "surrendered" and just did "endure the unendurable and suffer what is not sufferable"

First and last black president. Soon you'll pay reparations when a muslim immigrant from Iran decides to give 10% of the GDP, over the next 10 years, as reparations to "Native Americans" and the African American community.

Well, Korea might have been unified and able to pursue a more cohesive development path. Instead of hard line Spartan Juche in the north and 40 years of diaspora junta in the south that ended up with them turning into self mutilating dog munching fat Jesus freaks devoid of their national heritage.

Similarly, post war Japan was able to stop Ainu shit in without protest, whereas we might have had an autonomous Hokkaido. Plus the Soviet Union and military standoff on the Japanese home islands would have kept the militaristic culture of the feudalistic era. Samurai descendent officers on both sides. No Chinese cartoons. ETC.

So all things are a trade off.

Still salty about Singapore?
Don't worry Britcuck, the Pakis will create another Empire for you.

>Still salty about Singapore?
>the Pakis will create another Empire for you

im Irish you Yankee prick, i don't give a shit keep ruining your own countries all you want while we fight for whats left of ours.

Firebombs work on rice paddies too. Wait 1 year, all nips starved. Walk in, enjoy scenery.

This, even old Japanese people thinks that apology is meaningless

Going by how the Japanese faught on the Pacific Islands, I'd say that statement is very naive.

The moral of the Japanese military could not be defeated by a moral "let's bomb their cities" approach. The only way to remove the Japanese Imperial army was to defeat it in open combat, or as the US did, with technological supremacy.

The US intelligence expected that an invasion of Japan would cost 100s of thousand of American military casualities.
