i haven't heard every 80's album but yeah, it's one of my favorites.

phil collins is a god too tho.

I love 80s music
Love that electric pop rock feel

Oh my OP.. you just made my giny tingle with mentioning Disintegration

And I don't even have a giny!!

Howard Jones human racing.

Tough one. Pic related.

Others that are right up there...

>Graceland
>Discipline
>Violent Femmes
>Ride the Lightening
>Licensed to Ill

The most 80s album, however, might just be Songs from the Big Chair.

This is the sole best thing to come out of the 80's.

...

Its not an 80s album per sé but the donnie darko soundtrack was really good

Nice one OP
Also in a less moody way
youtube.com/watch?v=-94cMzNcEUU

The very best of the 80's.

...

Not only this is a masterpiece but the keystone of rock music for the following 20 years

nice bait

...

Depeche Mode was fucking stellar in the 80's, then the 90's hit and they just became "sadsack industrial"

Love Men At Work, I honestly could listen to "No Time For Yesterday" on loop

no nigger shill

Good call.

Fucking idiots

...

>Songs from the Big Chair.

youtube.com/watch?v=j-rwdRE1p50

Get on my level faggots

Spandau Ballet True

youtube.com/watch?v=Y53kCiaELnc

You can't teach this old faggot to suck eggs. I could dump a huge ton of obscure 80's if I wanted (was there in the real life). However the OP wants to get a feel for the era with the Hit albums .. classics

youtube.com/watch?v=q9d-OW7v4II

UB40 - Labour of Love

youtube.com/watch?v=b3v_Sy3WPUI

Get that weak shit outta here.

YAZOO - Upstairs At Eric's

youtube.com/watch?v=YGUoU67SVQk

Intro was promising but rest was cliche crap. sage

Fucking God tier album OP is definitely not a faggot

...

...

You do understand this was before medolic metal and thrash and speed were still a new thing right?
These were pioneers of metal. None of it was cliche when it came out.

...

Fucking this

My personal favorite

I don't care. It didn't stand up to the test of time like Disintegration and many other of the albums here. Go away with your hokey crap.

The Human League- Dare

The thing is that the 80's could be defined by synths, sound engineering advances (multitrack, samplers, reverb etc ..) but also the innovations in tech also aaffected the songs made, band composition .. modified .. sample -- rap .. dance pop .. etc) if the albums do not really include these aspects they a missing a key ingredient making them '80's' albumms. Just sayin ! Remember what you yuff's are digging through was [playyed and recieved utterly differently to that paradigm you listen in .. just as the kids of the 80's were facinated by the 60's and the jazz culture of the US 1940-50 at that time

thanks man, only one i didnt already know in the entire thread

Gtfo out with your hater persona lel. Head back to culture club.

PREFAB SPROUT - STEVE MCQUEEN

youtube.com/watch?v=dlFyqniT34U

Produced by Thomas Dolby .. the 80's influence is very subtle on this .. but this album could never have been produced in an earlier era .. easily one of my favourite albums from my youth.

...

scott walker climate of hunter

Humans lib.

Xray spex. Germ Free Adolescents

youtube.com/watch?v=ujrva0tiTqc

Emo before emo was cool

Yes but you and your opinion didn't make up the entire era .. the thing I enjoy about the whole music scene is it's variety .. both pop and esoteric. Niether one exists in a vacuum ..

That's one if the few albums you can put in and listen all the way through.

Back in black too

And Dookie, but that's 90s

Metalica Black album

this.

Worst Song: youtube.com/watch?v=brSl5emPgOg

Carmina Burana , Carl Orff (Ponnelle)

A classic from Germany 1937 .. you'll never be on my level .. but you know I am totally okay with that whole concept.

Time for bed now, I actually have some reason to wake up in the morning .. lol.
