It's a bit psychedelic, so not really as pure "pop" as (for example) Help! –which I would class as perfect pop: the juxtaposition of upbeat music with downbeat, nostalgic and teenage depressive themed, simple and repeated lyrics; slowed down middle eight and kept well under 3 minutes.
