A Black Mile To The Surface by Manchester Orchestra
...
Man howd they go so down hill
If we're talking about first listens.
Because I've relistened to some albums I love but I don't know that it counts as being blown away since I'm expecting it.
No clue, Kim & Jesse and Midnight City are both fantastic songs but everything else has been absolute trash
allahu ackbar shaka nana jah rastafari chango
So is Steve McQueen but yeah its just not the same
...
Literally just Loren Mazzacane Connors with a slide and vocals
Just listened to this 3 weeks ago
...
One of the best post rock albums I've heard
listened to this yesterday and I instantly put it in my top 10
masterpiece
This.
Hating this album is fucking meme
this blew my mind too but it's not the last one to have done so
Most people like it though. Its still pretty overrated tbqhwyf
...
LOL at these albums you were all 'blown away' by.
Fucking sucker shit.
what blew you away? your dad?
...
duuuuuuuuuuuur
I will keep shilling this album along with you. It's fucking great. Between this and brand new i'm having the time of of my life musically.
You still haven't posted an album
Never got why this album was so highly rated. Band has a funny gimmick but that's about it to me.
yeah ok buddy
it's a punk album from 1966, it also sounds like Ty Segall went back in time and made Filth in 1966
The musical content is very good, I don't consider it a gimmick; just outsider music with no contemporaries
was sitting in my library for a while and when i finally got to it literally blew my mind
same here user. honestly might be my favorite album of theirs to date
i'll raise you a punk album from 1965 and it's peruvian
youtube.com
skip to 28:28 for the best
Murder of the Universe was better
Perfect from now on or pic related
god damn it's as good as Maggot Brain
this
DUDE
I guess I'm a nu-male now.
...
both phenomenal albums
I knew upon making this thread there would be someone like you. Grow some balls user
this blew me away when i first heard it
>*blocks your path*
eh he is just trying to do a popular black guy voice of that era. honestly this is borderline minstrel show
I'm a 13 year old girl. I don't think I will ever grow balls.
...
this album is so fucking good. loved them live too
I'm a total pleb when it comes to jazz but holy fuck i need more of this in my life
listened to this like last week and i was upset i took so long to listen to it
Well, came here to post this, definitely not disappointed
I had a similar experience with this album, Herbie is the fucking man
Listened to this one a few weeks back. More than anything I love this album's atmosphere.
holy fuck this album. freaktose always pumps me the fuck up
RATTLESNAKES
Try this one
i youtubed this, first thing that came up was this track
youtube.com

youtube.com
thank you for informing me of this, user.
>all of these 'mind blowing' albums
LOL
Finally got around to this, holy shit is it amazing.
This is a great album.
>he posts nothing
been like 3 months
before this
Crywank
The Antlers
I was going to post this
...
absolutely one of the greatest metal albums I've listened to in recent times, Bloodshot Dawn really are masters of their class
it has some gratuitous electronic dead weight, if they had shaved down 15 minutes of run time I'd be a damn strong 9/10 imo. :) I give it an 8 as is. an 8 with some really really good parts
my ex loved this band and so did all of her dumb friends. but i grew to like the front bottoms a lot. dude has a really nice voice.
I agree. Some of the songs are cool, but when they get poppy I just can't do it.
I remember hearing Boys are Boys and Girls are Choice on some cellphone ad on YouTube though. That was kind of cool.
It's so funky and smooth, yet very worldly and interesting. Loved it
these, actually
...
...
It went from the most loved to the most hated
but would you rather be underpaid or overrated?
Best Gizz album to date. I hope we get a full blown krautrock album from them at some point, because the influences on FMB were amazing.
I need to get my shit together on this, seems to be getting great reviews
Hope it can fill the devil and god's sows.
Steve Reich's Music for 18 musicians.
...
Absolutely incredible album.
...
This was me but in 2014
>literally just ____ with vocals
>said about minimalistic art pop record literally built on its vocals
...
...
...
I still need to hear it all the way through, but it doesn't grip me as much as bloom did so far
I went into this only knowing that I hated Nonagon Infinity, and the song Rattlesnake which is complete ass.
This blew my fucking socks off.
Do you like Nonagon Infinity now?
Definitely not but I can sort of appreciate what they were going for now. Some stuff on In Your Mind Fuzz is incredible though.
I feel like they're at their best when they play slower. It feels more thought out and interesting.
ehiorobo I heard once first but then put away and forgot until really recently
This album is incredible in so many ways
im addicted to this guy right now and his
understanding of melodicism is shit you
cant even get down on paper. So many moods,
so intuitive.
Have you listened to Murder of the Universe? Lord of Lightning and the Balrog is the best prog this decade.
It bangs
Not yet but I do love some good prog. Also how's the Sketches album?
like Paper Mache but accidentally threw it into a soup pot full of jazz fusion
Here's the official video for Lord of Lightning and Balrog, which imho is the best of the three songs (album is three "books" over 21 tracks)
youtu.be
If that's region locked replace youtu.be with hooktube.com
sucks they will never top this
