Alright Sup Forums, I need your help.

Way back in early 2010, I was really into bitcoin. I had about 40,000 BTC, when I was involved in a car accident and had major memory loss. I forgot all my passwords (and even the fact I owned bitcoin), along with many unrelated memories. I am still struggling to this day.

2 years later, I got myself a new computer, but never threw out my old one. It was sentenced to life in storage, with all my bitcoins on it.

I continued on my journey to recovery, and all this buzz about bitcoin was frustrating for me. I knew this was relevant to me in some way, yet didnt know how. Then today, it hit me. I. HAVE. 40K. IN. BITCOIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I scrambled to my old computer, but it doesn't work anymore, and I have not written my wallet password anywhere, and I have long since forgot it.

PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU: HELP ME FIND MY 40K BITCOINS!!!!!!!

damn, thats 1 billion dollars in my country mate

whats wrong with the PC first?

It just wont start at all. Even after plugging everything in, pressing the on button does nothing.

Honestly, your best bet is just getting a working PC and taking the harddrive out of the broken one and just hope to god it works, if the harddrive is fukd, you would need a professional to get it going again, thats what i at least think would work :P

this + handle with extreme fucking care when moving and such with the hard drive one drop and it could be all gone

not genuine and possibly inlove with the same gender!

Holy shit OP

If you find it sell it all

you're fucked - doesn't matter if you recover the computer HD (which is doable), if the private key is long gone.

This

stupid b8

someone w/ potentially $1b in BTC isn't enlisting fucking Sup Forums's help.

does making stupid threads excite you?

go to a hd recovery expert and pay him $500 to repair it / test it on a working tower

but all this shit is make believe so why am i even giving you obvious advice

oh boy imagine how cool it would be to wake up from a coma with 40,000 btc right guise?

Thank you user. Someone had to point out the obvious.

But just in case if comaboy is serious. Here, have a bump.

OP is computer savvy to mine/collect/use bitcoin back in the day but can't get an old computer up and running or knows to take it to a specialist.

Bullshit

OP isn't even trying. Sage of 2017

open the computer, take out the hard drives, put them in a working computer, fins the BTC install directory. get a backup of the wallet. done

Yes, please recover your btc and sell them all at once.

the size of this bait though XD
