ITT post phenomenal pop albums. Any year or country.

this one is great

...

really fun albums actually

ehhhhhhhh

...

I love phoenix and all, and they're my favorite band, but Bankrupt! is, imo, much better than WAP.

this

really good indie pop

Is this landfill-indie general? These bands are terrible.

...

obviously.

no? have you ever actually listened to phoenix before?

their best album and their last good one

I personally believe Viva la Vida is a masterpiece and is one of the best songs of the 00's

wtf is post phenomenal pop

I love the song and Violet Hill, but never listened to the full album.

you fucked up it's their best album and the production is gorgeous

yeah it's weird and noisy but you can't deny the melodies on this thing

I completely agree with this. If it didn't have Coldplay's name on it it'd be an indie classic.

kek

How did I fuck up I can easily listen to it at any time

I still can't believe it's nearly 10 years old, where the fuck did the time go

Gee golly wiz he's right!

what are you waiting for, go listen my guy

but you probably won't
I can't believe they've made nothing but bad albums since then. Everything before Viva was good everything after is bad.

This

I was thinking the exact same thing, a rush of blood to the head, X & Y, parachutes, all good albums

but I can't even listen to their new stuff. It's so sterile, I can't even really call it Coldplay.
Their last really great song was Life in Technicolor ii, I'd argue that's when they stopped really being Coldplay. Their songs ceased to have any of their unique charm after it.

>heh he likes a critically acclaimed album what a loser lol

I think I have the whole thing in my iTunes, I'll check it.

thank u user

bump

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMP

...

viva la vida was the first song i loved

...

Viva La Vida is perhaps the only patrician song to grace the modern car radio.

WAP was fantastic, but I gotta say Bankrupt steals the #1 spot in their discog. for me

>inb4 people say FS/LS was better

Is Bankrupt really that great? I never listened to it all the way through.

if you hate indie pop then eff off

indie pop is pretty shit.

...

I don't like indie pop, but I can't deny that this was a great album.

>"...the underrated French band has honed its sleek and increasingly effective bursts of pop to a fine point."

2009 was such an incredible year for music.

This review makes me feel old.

...

...

It had some interesting melodies, definitely worth a listen if you liked WAP

...

This tbqh. You really need to experience a multi year relationship coming to an end to fully appreciate it though

looks ugly.

Honestly, it's my favorite album of all time.

I just wish people didn't sleep so much on Death and All of His Friends

excuse me idiots

no.

This isn't even the official cover.

The synths on this are fucking dirty. I love them. I think it works so much better than WAP becuase it sounds slightly darker less bubble gum and more mature

Futuresex/Lovesounds IS way better.

Literally a god-tier pop album and there hasn't been a "top 20" pop album as good since.

20/20 Experience was a massive let down.

Make way faggots.

oh yeah also this

...

...

...

I don't know, it feels like it peters off in the second half, while I enjoy nearly every track off of 20/20. The first half is fantastic though, I'll give you that.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

it's fucking beautiful

...

...

...

Not pop.

yeah it is

I think their earlier stuff is really underrated, pic related is one of my favourite actually, never get tired of Too Young and If I Ever Feel Better

>If it didn't have Coldplay's name on it it'd be an indie classic.

United is pretty good, and It's Never Been Like That is great, but I still think that Bankrupt! is better than the rest of their discography. Also, Alphabetical is like a 6/10 at best.

i got tired of phoenix once i wasn't wearing my h&m v-necks to the flashy sunglass store in high school back in 2009

really tho

These are all great

I fuggin love this

...

...

Also criminally underrated as well

...

Is part 2 ok?

Nick Cave did her good. Kylie started being creative thanks to him.

pop or not, it still sucks

no it's not

...

Not if you die of a brain aneurysm before you get to listen to it.

So much utter shit ITT. This board needs quality control. Pic is the best single still currently charting unless I'm mistaken.

> Medley: Let Me Talk To You/My Love ft. T.I.
Can it get more hype than this ?

Fantastic stuff

Talking about shit taste but praising Lil Uzi Vert...

All great pop albums

Its amazing. Brian Eno and Jon Hopkins produced it
Fuck off tripcunt
