I loved it but I was fucking baked when I first saw, then when I saw again sober I realized how shit it was the more I thought about it

Because it's actually good, better albeit a few things I didn't like but just because it is a 10/10 doesn't mean it's bad. Everyone on here is who doesn't like it is a troll, neet threaten by woman, or is a faggot

Titty milk

I enjoyed it, I realize there are pacing issues and some dodgy philosophy (Poe's message is don't question authority). But I loved the whole force doesn't belong to light or dark sides, it belongs to everyone. I hoped they would join Kylo and Rey together to explore this grey area, but maybe they will in the next movies. Plus, the duo action they had in the throne room was probably the best fighting in any Star Wars movie. Fuck Anakin and Obi-Wan dancing for 10 minutes on Mustafar.

Idk, it wasn't like crazy horrible, and I love Star Wars, so... I give it like a 6/10.
What really upset me was the fact that I really only wanted 2 things out of this movie, and I got neither unfortunately.
1: I wanted Rei's parents to be someone, ANY-FUCKING-ONE that mattered, or at least gave her more backstory. Literally anything that isn't "They we're nobodies, they don't matter and won't be mentioned again", which is basically what Kylo said about them.
2: For fucks sake, let Snoke have a fucking background. Let him be some disfigured character we already know, or one we have at least heard of. If not that, at LEAST give some fucking background to this character that has somehow become the supreme leader, after claiming to witness the rise and fall of the Empire. Fucking shit, make him ANYBODY other than a random ass baddie that you kill off without any explanation. Which is exactly what happened.
I think I'm talking myself out of liking it at all now that I'm spelling it all out.
Downgrading to 4/10

I loved it. An exciting chase through space. the porgs were cute.

don't listen to the white male racists who hated the movie cuz theyre scared of purple hair.

It's easier to enjoy things when you walk in with literally zero expectations. Most things in life fucking suck, so I expect everything to suck.
When it's any level above absolutely terrible, it went better than I expected, which makes it easier to like.
Most of the people who hate this movie had high expectations; I had none. That's why I liked the movie at all.

lionsroar.com/the-last-jedi-cranks-up-the-buddhist-themes/

i liked it because it had more originality than the episode 7, but not comparing it to the 7th episode i find it mediocre, not so bad but also not too good because of the titty milk scene, cringy humour (whenever chewbaca and those retarded ewoks would do something "cute and funny" i would mostly roll my eyes), also the way that general hux was mocked a lot, i just couldnt get him serious as grand moff tarkin who destroyed alderaan. also kylos offer for rey to fuck off the rebels and the sith and go do something whatever it was, not joining the usual good guys and the bad guys but in the end they just scraped it

i liked the scenery and looks of it the most really (that light speed collision scene gave me goosebumps)

also i expected much more of phasma and snoke, and we don't know a thing about snoke

this, my expectations for everything lately are pretty low or zero

Ok Luke drank titty milk. Now what???

Phasma could have been a really cool character to develop, she seemed badass. Instead they killed her off like a bitch, and gave a shit ton of screen time to the fat asian who I was just hoping would get killed off the entire movie.

>also kylos offer for rey to fuck off the rebels and the sith and go do something whatever it was, not joining the usual good guys and the bad guys but in the end they just scraped it

let me correct that, i wrote the sentence as a retard: i liked the potential of them going for a 3rd option, whatever it was, but in the end rey just returned to the good guys and kylo to the bad guys, which i didn't like and i wrecked my small expectations for something "different and out of the box"

Life long starwars fan
to the point of having lego starwars built and displayed in my room when i was a teen.

Middle age man now. Saw this movie:

Worst film yet, and that's saying alot. I was almost giddy at the beginning of the film when the Admiral told hux he shoulda had fighters launched 5 bloody minutes ago. It hit the shit soon after that.

- Luke throwing the lightsaber over his shoulder
- Yoda burning the jedi texts
- Snoke Dying dumbly
- The Order Fleet not able to catch a Mon Cal Cruiser which is almost out of gas
- The fleet not able to bombard the base from Orbit
- Leia's force body pull
- Luke faces AT - AT and is impervious but oh wait, it's not reallly him....
- All of a sudden lukes planet has 2 suns and it kills him, thus never leaving the planet and becoming what we all wanted. A fucking hero

I give the film a 2.5 out of 10
- Luke

i completely agree, which also reminds me of that kiss scene which was really out of the blue and unfitting...they just have to add some romance or love triangle, would it kill them to skip it?

also for phasma she should have been the pic related for additional awesomeness instead of some random stormtrooper that faced finn hand to hand combat

oh and leia's force space scene made me roll my eyes 360...it would have been so much better if they killed her in that scene or not adding the scene at all

apparently those texts were saved by rey (you can see them later in the falcon), i can't remember myself, but i agree with you

yoda knew that Rey took the jedi texts

BTW luke not sensing Han was dead...

"where's han"

Dropped the ball almost as bad as Leia walking passed chewy to console rey after hans death.

-Luke

i liekt it coz i thought ti was good

They wrote Luke as still being a whiney bitch who just wanted to go to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters; he should have been written as an inscruitable old Jedi Master who went into seclusion to try to understand how he should proceed with rebuilding the Order, or not.

He should have left the planet, wrecked the ever-living SHIT out of the AT-ATs with the Force, absolutely clowned Kylo, then simply turned off his saber and Obi-Wan'd out.

Though, I'm pretty sure the Jedi texts were all in a drawer in the Falcon in one of the closing scenes.

I walked out when lukes body faded... so i missed that, but the cruel joke was that Luke didn't know....

-Luke

I'd say it was on par with Empire.

-luke

why didnt purple haired bitch just explain the plan

>7
He closed himself off to the force. He didn't know because he wasn't accessing the force or whatever.

Did you not watch the movie?

Oh, but they also did a really good example of the 'from a certain point of view' idea without beating us over the head with it like ROTS. 'FROM MY POINT OF VIEW THE JEDI ARE EVIL!' Feh. But Luke and Ben's different takes on what happened was well done.

...

It was fun.
The first half was slow and I'm sad they stuck with such a linear storyline the whole film; would've been nice to see them escape halfway through not at the end.
Finn's storyline was unnecessary (I mean what are the chances one of TWO people in the galaxy is in a casino, they get arrested and find another person who happens to be immensely skilled enough to also do the job).
Needed more lightsaber battles.
But, it was a fun movie with some comedy and action.

Rey realized and Luke admitted he cut himself from the force you retard

It was PC. Characters were a diverse range of ethnicity. What's not to like?

I think it was Revenge of the Social Justice Jedi.

obviously kylo doesn't know who reis fucking parents are, snoke implanted images in both of their minds and kyle didnt even know rei existed before vii

Same here, but some faggot burst into the room swinging a lightsaber halfway through the film. I guess there are both perks and detriments to going to the theater in Colorado.

>comedy
This faggot thinks the star wars minions are funny

>so why didn't he become a wound in the force

No I'm not and I still hate the movie cuz it was made poorly tho it has a lot of potential...

spoiler alert

I thought that the visuals and style were so impressive I was willing to forgive the very strange and definitive direction they took some of the characters in. I thought it was a massive, lazy fuckin self centered mistake by the writers. It does annoy me when I think about it. A lot. I won't put any spoilers but I think everyone who seen it knows what I'm talking about.

Also why is Laura Dern the only person in the whole Universe who uses hair dye and why now (she was great in it though).

They don't really answer a single question that anyone had which I'm fine with. we're all used to with TV shows these days
As for her parents, I got a feeling Kylo Ren's talking shit so sit tight.

Overall I AM enjoying Rey and Finn's story and excited to see how it all ends.

Mark obviously loved it

10/10 bait or 10/10 infantile nu-male

Because of this moment.

youtu.be/S7TcjXebmtM

...

"the porgs were cute" this, this here is what sucked up Star wars. It was supposed to be Wookies, but ewoks are cuter and will sell better as toys and stuffed animals

Mark looks like he's in the middle of having a stroke and is wondering if he should drag the man beside him to hell with him.

That Leia thing, that right there and their force connection is exactly why I think they're gonna pull a Luke/Leia with Rey/Kylo Ren

You are a complete fucking idiot. "- All of a sudden lukes planet has 2 suns and it kills him, thus never leaving the planet and becoming what we all wanted. A fucking hero"

He saw his peace, the sunset of his home planet, and became a part of the Force. The suns didn't kill him. This isn't Chronicles of Riddick.

"- Yoda burning the jedi texts"
He knew they weren't in there. He mocked Luke for thinking they were.

"- Snoke Dying dumbly"
It was his over confidence in his power that led to his death. He said that he knows everything Kylo is thinking and doing. Kylo killing him was the ultimate slap in the face.

You know, as I'm typing all of this out, I realized that I'm yelling into the darkness at stupidity and stupidity does not change.

:D yeah
also youtube.com/watch?v=Mdm8rpv045U

I agree, worst film yet
>logical flaws
>boring story
>fucking lame and anti-funny jokes
>cute alien fucktards every 5 minutes
>resistance is a bunch of woman
>Leia force supermaning OMG
>snoke is dead...yeah and who the fuck was he?

Shit I could write a book about how many shit was in this movie.
And the most sad thing that the movie itself had so much potential...but they fucked it in the ass, just like they did to the fans...

I'm sorry the movie about aliens and people with laser swords didn't meet your impossibly high standards.

>faggots like you will always exist no matter what they do with the movies. KYS, or go into therapy. It only goes downhill from where you are.

>Bait level: 3/10, much like this movie.

He really dies with the same hubrus that Darth Plagius does.

I liked it. Was fun, entertaining, and the Po flying scenes were amazing. So was that light speed thing. I also liked the Falcon flying scenes. So there you go, I liked it! Honestly too.

If u are a kid, then you like
openloadmovies.tv/movies/star-wars-the-last-jedi-2017/

I think it works as an adventure movie but there is a lot I think they got wrong.
I didn't like the use of many of the characters. I believe phasma and more importantly snoke were very underused. (Phasma's addition felt pointless) I hated how fin and rose, aside from it being boring was completely redundant and how benecio del Toro was completely forgettable.
Also the whole idea of them just slowly following a ship till it runs out of fuel is really stupid. I mean do they not have another ship they can just send over there in front of it.
Not to mention the jokes fell flat for me.
Overall I liked the action and many of the performances but it feels like a missed opportunity.

I was about to walk out when Luke threw his saber over his shoulder

>everyone who doesn't like it is a gay sexist troll

why do i get the feeling you're a liberal?

was total mess , was half bad half good
i didnt have problem with Luke character
i had problem with parts of the movie which were nice but didnt make any sence to be in this movie
it kinda looked like they reshoot half of the movie
still not horrible bad but could be 3xtimes better

>screeching when the new movies are like the old movies
>screeching when they are not

But why would you waste such a major plot point and only real threat in such a stupid way? A force user to rival Palpatine, can't hear or feel the lightsaber next to him.

military generals are supposed to shut quiet because of (First Order) spies

Because it was fun

why did luke die peacefully when he helped turn ben solo into kylo ren by being a shitty teacher, then refused to clean up his mess until kylo actually killed han? Even then, all he does is stop Kylo from catching the resistance, he didn't actually fix what he helped cause. Shouldn't he be wrought with guilt over the fact his former pupil ended up killing his best friend, the man who trusted him to train his son? Instead he just goes all "I'm worthless, I fuck everything up, I shouldn't try to help anyone" and goes to die on an island like a pussy.

There is no reason for him to have died peacefully when he lived his life as a scared pussy who refused to own up to his mistakes.

Agreed. Fun but not good.

you know the movie is bad when even mark hamil was shitting on it. or hes just salty that the movie isnt about him anymore

All males = whiny cowards
All females = ultimately wise
sexism like in 50s

youtube.com/watch?v=EIY-PsHrj9A&t=1s

They reversed all of the development Luke goes through in the original trilogy because they wanted him to have a redemption arc.

I liked it, paid for box ate a meal watching it, went to be entertained and i was, not a bitchy whiney super buff fan, of course some things didnt make sense and were off tangent but it was entertaining, only bit that broke it up was shitty chrome dome insult... Felt out of place like the Deadpool movie when he pops head out of sun visor and says about leaving oven on

>mark hamill salty
he got his reasons...
change of character,
dumb humor
low quality
story written to make profits and propagate political agenda...

I liked it because I don't watch a lot of movies and I don't think about the plot.

Hadn't watched bad movie ever since I adopted the doctrine of zero expectations.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=_7UKW-dgZMU
Here ya go

Attack of the Clones is the worst Star Wars movie

This isn't as bad, but it's not God Tier level either

I forgot that he was shitting on the script for having stuff Luke would never do, then I remembered after watching the movie. I agree completely that Luke would not have done that shit at all. I don't get how he didn't have more power in this. Like, did they really throw so much money at him that he could not say no no matter how much he disagreed with the direction the character was being taken?

yea, it would have been nice to see him play the role of a master. but they literally said one line when yoda was talking

Mark hamil mustve been a pain to work with. Most interviews he’s talking about his vision for the character, still wanting to be the main hero and how upset it was Han Solo died without having Luke and leia there. He would’ve made a terrible movie

>Everyone on here is who likes it is a braindead fanboy, a fat chick, or goes by several different genders
ftfy

yeah, but not just luke's developpement
all achievements that happened in the original trilogy are wiped out.
hans and leias love
the triumph of the rebels
the jedi
...
it's like at the beginning of Episode IV but without Vader

Actors dont write the movie. He plays a minor character now and wanted to be a larger roll. He’s like any other Luke fanboy. Can’t let go and enjoy Star Wars for a new generation. It’s what the whole movie is about

m.youtube.com/watch?v=_7UKW-dgZMU

What should have happend

>Luke should have been the last Jedi, finally concluding the mistake was to believe the sith and Jedi's are seperate.
>Rey would be the first Grey Jedi, both a sith and a jedi, good and bad.
>The emperor would have been revealed to be the father of Rey, thereby explaining her fighting style matching his.
>Snook still alive, not as powerful and turned out to be the emperors master who went into hiding.
>No comedy apperance by Yoda, zero appearence in fact.
>Luke had wrote a new order for jedi/sith
>Ackbar launched the ship into warp and not the pink headed feminists.
>Luke to die at the hands of Snook but not before turning Kylo to the new order.
>Rey and Kylo, leave together to launch new sith/jedi

Nigger and fat chink, zero scenes, he gets sucked into a black hole.

I saved the star wars universe.

You can't remake the series if you pick up at the end of the original.

I mean its not a shot for shot remake but all the elements are there. Small team of good guys takes on the much larger and more powerful group of bad guys. Another death star gets blown up, and this time it's five times bigger even though the first order is supposed to be smaller then the empire. Who needs creativity when you can make it like a marvel movie, half action and half comedy? Fun movies don't need to have a good script, characters or plot because that's not what makes them fun.

Both of your complaints could be explained later

> Rey's parents were nobody's but could related to someone special revealed later

> Rey's parents are actually someone Kylo cares about, snoke planting false images in Kylo's head as if Kylo knew the truth he would more likely betray snoke (Although it happened anyways

>Rey is a force baby like anakin? Possibility also explains ditching of her, afraid of virgin birth, or even made cause the father isn't the father

You could argue that all my options are not possible because of what was said in the movie, but characters can lie. Obi wan lied, about vader for example.

>Snoke's backstory, he obviously has a backstory, it just wasn't revealed, there's a few fan theories, such as Vader's old apprentice etc. It will likely be revealed in one of their spinoff movies

I was surprised they unceremoniously killed him off, but the purpose of this trilogy isn't about rising up to beat the big bad guy. That was the purpose of the original trilogy

is anyone else wanting to see KOTOR come to the silver screen?

wtf are you even saying

i was really looking forward that they would introduce the grey jedi with rey and kylo, but nooooooooooooooo, they have to return to their original spots among the rebels and the new order so the usual battle between the bad and the good can go on...creative...

me, but they would just ruin that too...kreia was made too well in the games to be able to get recreated again for the screen

I liked it except for the bitch from Jurassic park and the chubby chink Rose

Watch the movie you retard, he literally articulates what he could feel, he misinterpreted the moving of a lightsaber and preparation for a killing blow to be what kylo was going to do to Rey, rather than to himself.

Snoke was cocky and got double crossed by someone trying to purposefully hide something from him. Kylo was calm and knew what was happening.

>Both of your complaints could be explained later
because sequels never fuck things up later in a franchise, right?

Ultimately, I don't agree with the whole "SJW ruined Star Wars" kinda shit that some people are coming out, but I wouldn't discount it entirely. A lot of the criticism of Rey's character was deflected with "women can be heroes too!" kind of talk, which didn't actually address said criticism.

Plus, killing off Admiral Ackbar just like that so you can shoehorn in some new heroic female character? (who I think was supposed to be a lesbian? I don't know?)

I think that the remakes have at least used the whole SJW culture to deflect criticism, and especially with the last film have decided they want to play to that audience.

First complaint I have agreed with. With all the backtracking on Luke's character he didn't really accomplish what he should have. Train Rey properly, showing that a failure leads to learning not despair or something. Revenge in some way for Han, or pursue the fixing of Kylo Ren? I don't think the I'm sorry to Kylo really makes things okay

A strong, interesting developed female character? Not enough! Can we make her a trans lesbian too?

They could screw things up sure, but the complaints voiced above are things that technically haven't been confirmed yet. Need to realize a lot more star wars is coming, and they will be setting up a lot of movies and arc stories in the meantime.

I liked it. I'd say it was a solid 8/10. Other than a few pacing issues, and the stupid Rose-Finn shit, I found it very enjoyable. I don't mind the lack of saber-fights, and I loved the dog-fighting scenes.

>a lot more star wars is coming
>and they will be setting up a lot of movies and arc stories in the meantime
so we're getting another DCEU? can't wait to see how things will crash and burn for this franchise then

TFA felt like more of a mess to me. It ripped off A New Hope in so many ways yet they fixed the most things that were horrible in the prequels (The lightsaber battles was one of them) but what really pissed me off about TFA was how messy it was.

>First they were at planet A what planet is that? Woops, planet B now. Oh, planet C? Wait, we gotta go to planet D and then back to C to go to E.

It was simply too exhausting to watch and it felt like getting the old actors were purely fan service.

TLJ wasn't what I expected, which was good. It took me by surprise. It had a linear plot that didn't go all over the place but it was pretty consistent. Sure it borrowed things from the other movies but it still twisted them, that Rey's parents were no-one was a bigger plot twist than if she was a Kenobi or some other silly shit. The old actors in this movie was central to the plot for once and not just fucking fan service, even Yoda and even the hologram R2D2 saved of Leia. I will say though that some of the jokes didn't feel 'Starwars' to me. In the original trilogy there was humor but in connection to the plot so it didn't stand out, it felt alive and realistic. In TLJ it's a whole other story, it feels forced and out of place, (Luke's 'new' character for instance)

To me, the movie wasn't terrible. It was better than TFA and the prequels yet worse than the original trilogy.

> (OP)
i like it because of bb8 chewie and the pun/jokes

I liked the fact they kept Luke as a whiny little bitch. When it came down to it, tgat was his character. A whiny but badass little bitch.

>The force is magic again. Unpredictable. Like Yoda zapping the sacred texts and luke projecting himself

>A proper example of how the dark side tempts by making you feel isolated and self important

>lightsaber fighting is about the force and spirit. This is much inline with classic hero's tales. It was the prequels that made it into the laser sword version of the princess bride fight scene.

>luke was fallible. This is a big one for me. Good story telling has to include the hero's flaws.

>Leia in space, the slow ship chase, the dark side mirror tempting, Luke projecting himself, and Yoda doing something unpredictable and irreverent are exactly the kind of this that happened in the books, which were lots of fun.
