sudden half-second silence on the left channel
wtf
how can a supposed jazz classic be so badly mastered?

You didn't have to waste a whole thread to discover that remasters exist.

>sudden half-second silence on the left channel
when in the record is this?

>43 minutes of genius arrangements, solos, and unprecedented interplay
>user only wants to talk about a few minor audio inconsistencies

if Kasami did this you shits would never stop bringing it up

Kamasi can't play nearly as well as Bill Evans Trio and relies on the hip-hop style audio production to carry his albums through

OP here I'm talking about TWO remasters that have the same audio glitches

What? Kamasi's album is terribly mixed and it's one of the main complaints everyone has of him.

It ruins the experience though

Try the Kevin Grey remaster. APJ-018

Cutter pls go

>audience members can be heard talking over the music

Maybe if you're a babby

Just be glad the recording exists at all and the audio quality isn't worse. Plenty of great jazz musicians never had the opportunity to record music in that good of quality.

I'm talking about it.

Pic is the beginning of track 6 on that remaster. The first note is silent on the left channel (there's only an audible echo).

>"Well this is definitely one of the greatest piano trio records in history! Unfortunately though there are a couple minor audio glitches so I'm afraid I'm going to have to officially deny it "classic" status forever. Case closed!"

Is this what you think should have happened OP?

>hip-hop style audio production

what does that even mean

No but the dumbfucks who "remastered it" shoud have paid at least some attention.

>le relative privation maymay

Remastering can only do so much

fucking lol

These are not present on youtube or spotify

Also depending on when the copy your listening to is from it could be a poor conversion. Zappa notoriously had bad mixes on the Rykodisc reissues. Kasami also is more current and it's less excusable when a first issue has this problem consider how much easier it is to make things sound good today vs on analog and vinyl.

wow op this is insane
