Here in Silverland we have a who chokes less race. Boca is chocking right now, Estudiantes too, San Lorenzo has already died from asphyxia.
The lasts teams worth watching who are not living up their memeruns from last year are Newell's (irregular af but they don't play Libertadores) & River. River wake up from a bad first half of the tournament and is having now an ongoing memerun. They were like 13 points behind snd now just 6 with a superclasico left.

rovers plymouth and portsmouth in the same league next season

>Grêmio lost

What team do you think it will win the league?

Alguien de Sup Forums aqui?

>uses the reserve team in the Libertadores
>the first team spends the whole week TRAINNING penalties
>lose on penalties
JUST FUCK MY

>mfw Novo Hamburgo open their legs wide for the monkey just like shitty contryside teams always do

>santa fe choking at 96' against >aguilas

Here

Probably Boca, or Newell's if they are lucky and get their shit together.
Estudiantes has become to erratic, and since they are probably going to go through in Libertadores/Sudamericana, it's only gonna get worse.
River has a great memerun, but all the wins have been against literally whos (more destacable are DIM & Lanus) IIRC the last rounds are between Libertadores knock out stage, so they might crash by then.
San Lorenzo is ded. Aguirre & Romagnoli are cancer.

You should watch out Racing tho. They have been pretty solid and have the same points than River. Also, they are in Sudamericana, so they only have international matches like once every three weeks. but it's too early for another Racing title.

Name one (1) team that could possibly stop us. That's right, you can't.

UCL is the European Copalib.

Imho if brazilians clash between them at ro16/ro8 it could be a great opportunity for Barcelona, at least from what have we seen so far in group stage.
We need another ecuatorian champion tbdesu

This
Vasco is the OG continental champion

Do other Argies acknowledge that Vasco is the OG continental champion or is it only you?

>but it's too early for another Racing title
Why?

Anyone who is fan knows about it.
No one assumes it's a Libertadores itself. Everyone accepts it has its own merit, but it's just not the same competition. In other words, it's not like the WC/Jules Rimet difference meme, but more like the WC/JJ OO difference.

I personally do, but I'm pretty sure everyone thinks like that.

Internacional x Caxias in the Rio Grande do Sul state championship.

Inter won after penalties. When D'alessandro was celebrating some old dude from Caxias staff went up to him and a generalized confusion broke out. Great to see copa lib spirit on regional championships as well.

Since Gremio bought Gastón Fernandez from U. de Chile we have been playing a lot better. Thanks Gremio.

This weekend La U won, Colo Colo lost and Iquique got a draw..

After 11 matches out of 15 anybody can be the champion in Chile (No playoffs, who has more points after 15 matches is the champion)

Next Matches for the teams that have better chances are:

12:
Colo Colo vs Palestino
U. Católica vs U. de Chile
S. Wanderers vs Iquique

13:
Everton vs Colo Colo
U. de Chile vs Cobresal
Iquique vs Antofagasta

14:
Colo Colo vs Antofagasta
O'Higgins vs U. de Chile
U. Católica vs Iquique

15:
Cobresal vs Colo Colo
U. de Chile vs San Luis
Iquique vs Temuco

Was it a final?

Is Iquique having another random good year or have they already settled as a above average team already?
Also how does relegation works there?

No, semifinal

Relegation works with the worst team in the July 2016-June 2017 season Tabla Acumulada being relegated to second division.

Cobresal is 16° in the Tabla Acumulada and they have 6 points less than the 15° (S. Wanderers). They have only 4 matches to save themselves and they play against Huachipato, U. de Chile, S. Wanderers and Colo Colo.

Iquique since they came back to first division:
Tabla Acumulada
2011 12°
2012 2°
2012 3°
2013 16°
2013-14 5°
2014-15 15°
2015-16 10°
2016-17 1°

I would say that they are a team that gets a very good season (reaching the final of the Chilean Cup and playing in Libertadores and Sudamericana) or a very bad one. (fighting to not be relegated)

Colo Colo, U. de Chile, U.Católica, Unión Española and O'Higgins are the only teams that usually end in the first 8 places

Unión Española has made Top 8 every single season since 2009 and O'Higgins since 2011 and have been more regular than the Big 3 (Colo Colo, U. de Chile and U. Católica) for the last years since the Big 3 have had random bad years (CC in 2013, UC in 2014-15 and U 2015-16)

Thanks, gonna keep on eye in the league, europe went full dull and our league's end seems to far.
There hasn't been any discussions about expanding the league to like 18 teams?

>There hasn't been any discussions about expanding the league to like 18 teams?
Not really, what is going to change is how the season works.

Right now we have July-June seasons with 2 short tournaments per season.
After the July 2016-June 2017 season that we are playing right now we will play from July 2017 to December 2017 a 6 months transition season to go back in 2018 to the January-December seasons and a single tournament with the champion being the team with more points in 30 matches.

Uruguayan anons, why is Nacional la gallina?

> another annual calendar
just kill me already

thanks for the input chilebro

It seems like most leagues are finally adopting the Jan-Dec annual tournament format, probably the new Libertadores calendar had something to do with it.
