about 15k. I literally spend no money as I have loans for college and everything else is pretty cheap. Food is like 100 a month because I eat a lot, and I rarely go out so that's a lot of money saved too.

carry on

all anons who dont have a car, dont worry, its overrated.

enjoy not paying for gas, insurance, or maintenence

enjoy peace of mind, without a car, nothing to break down, nothing for people to break into and steal...

cars are a memetic plague like cellphones these days, unnecessary, waste time and space, distract mass population, horrible for environment, is a tool for evil (not only deaths, but crooked business mechanics and dealers, the whole business is a shit show, trust me worked with father in auto industry for 20 years)

im too old for this site

buy a bicycle. i promise your wallet, physical and emotional health will thank you

19 soon 20
4.5k
Plans for this to reach over 10k next year

unless you have an LPG car so you spend 1/4th of the price and with 2k year you can go everywhere you want when you want

or just live in the US / Dubai where petrol is super cheap, just don't buy an american car as they are super non optimized

> live in a state that has harsh winters
> have obligations in different cities hours within each other

Not overrated.

you literally own nothing, it was all given to you by your owner. talk about silver spoons.

yes i mad.

Nigga i aint biking 50 miles to my job 5 days a week at 11pm

everybody cries at night

>no apprenticeship
>minimum wage is at 8.60euro/hour
>taxes are about 1/3 of the whole salary

fuck that shit

That user;s talking to youngsters.

Obviously there are exceptions.

Its not his fault you dumbshits chose far away jobs in two different directions like retards.

>25
>full time job
>full time school
>car that I haven’t paid off yet

Has $0 in savings. I plan on turning that all around next year with my upcoming kickback from school.

Because every single job is directly in vicinity and available to you no matter where you live.

Sounds like you’re the youngster, bud.
Also a faggot.

I practice fucking medicine. Who the fuck lives within biking distance of a hospital?

>associates degree

>job with 100 billable hours at $65 an hour, also get paid $10 on my regular 9-5 during this job
>2009 civic SI with 65k on it
>still owe ~$7,800 on the car

What do the anons think, should I use the income from this job I’m doing to pay down my car loan? The job is gonna take more than 100 hours, so I’ll have to submit an order to a judge to get approved, but there’s literally no way that won’t happen

Live in a major city and its quite easy

>30
>Just married
>Have my own apartment
>A car and a motocicleta

>pay in my town is usually 8 bucks an hour
>10 if you're lucky
>if I worked in town, I'd save like 30-40 bucks in gas a week + 30 bucks on insurance
>but I'd make 400 less a week
>all my money would go to rent and bills
>never have anything left over
>public transport is basically nonexistant
>can't exactly bike over 60 miles a day and also do hard labor

Yeah, I get most people live in highly populated areas. But I don't. Having a car is my only real option unless I want to live in complete and total squalor.

Idk, people whjo are practicing medicine?

Why dont you live near your job?

He could be Italian. The boys of Italy live at home with their mothers into their thirties, when they then find wives to take care of them. Then if they can, they move their wives into their parents house too, and essentially have two mothers to take care of their needs. If they never marry, they just stay at home forever and take care of their parents as they age. The family unit is the most important element in the culture.

...realizing that entire description applies to most traditional native american tribes as well, with similar results.

Actually, Arabic. You're right on the money about family motive though.

>Be family
>Have big safe house+established income
>kick children out to fuck up by themselves, give and take money from strangers until they make a new life from scratch.
>children send parents to old person death asylum where no one loves them
>their parents die surrounded by strangers
>banks own all parties housing
American culture is disposable.

I was thinking of getting a drivers license mostly just to have the know how to drive, I don't plan on getting a car anytime soon.
I also live at home and have a great relationship with my family, if I went back to college I would either cycle or take the bus, since its not very far.
I make 188 euro a week on disabilty (high functioning autist, doesn't hamper my life much) so I kind of got lazy after high school, feel that I should start getting a good education while I have a decent income and work on getting a good job out of it.

youre in an amazing position and youre headed in the right direction. Save up the cash and spend it on something large to help you in your career. In one year you can save up 10000 which is a downpayment on a house, which is something you can return for full investment unlike an apartment.

Or you can just save it forever.

Just dont spend it on dumb crap like booze and video games.

dude get a fucking license, since getting mine my life has changed so much. I'm so more efficient with my time and my days aren't determined by public transport etc.

29
around 50k
no house yet though but since I live in denver I'll need to put 100k down for some piece of shit

Thanks, I know I am in a good position so I want to take full advantage of it, my income will allow me to go to college and not have to work, which will let me have more time to focus on college. I do somewhat worry about not having much work experience.
I got very lazy but I really want to fix it before I become that 30 year old who still lives with his parents on disability.
That said, I do love living with my family, so I wouldn't quite consider moving out until I get a girlfriend or some such.
I admit, I owe no money to no one, so I am in a very good place in life to start learning, I didn't rush into it but I am eager to pull it around.

lol I work in a hospital and live within biking distance. Unfortunately biking means riding alongside a river that smells like shit and full of homeless people (denver)

I understand you dont want to work because you dont have to, but working provides many unforseen doors...

A reccomendation would be to put in just 3 hours a week with an on-campus job if youre going to college full time. Its really maturing to understand how things work. If you dont care about money, do a little volunteer hour a week at least m8. College is a goldmine for mixed pathways and opportunities, throw yourself into it...youre paying for it...lol

I am 35. Depends on what you mean "saved up". Do you mean total amount of money across all accounts plus value of things owned?

For example I have a little over 6k in my savings account and a little over 5k in my checking account. However I have a little under 170k in my 401k and my house is worth around 40k more than I owe on it

Have fun walking/riding a bike when it is -3 degrees outside

Have fun taking 3 hours to get to work every day.

Have fun getting fired when you are constantly late because public transportation schedules are more like "we will probably be there around this time"

19, almost no savings. Got a higher paying job now though so maybe that'll change. Gotta replace my car battery unfortunately, so I'll be cutting it close on rent this month

>How much money saved up?
About £1m in savings, about £140k in cash, a house worth about £400k and a couple of paid-for cars.

Volunteer work is something I planned on doing soon, solid life experience and looks good on a resume, in a bit of slump atm (not working for 4 years and doing fuck all will do that to you)
Problem is if I get a proper job I will lose my disability and I don't wanna lose that unless I can at least make a meaningful amount more.
Honestly, my personal goal is getting a job I can do relatively easily and not hate doing it day after day.
I am planning to do some online courses just to challenge myself as well, working out too because while I have all this free time, I should make the most of it. Living in excess has left me bored and a bit depressed, so I am excited to go back to College.

Divide and invest.

Get like 10k in alt coins
Invest 150k in strong stocks/investment funds (keywords here are to big to fail). Personally I prefer funds because negative result of company A can be negated by the succes of company b/c/d etc.
Keep the rest in a savings account at the shit rates they are now, always good to have some cash on hand.
