Any Paramedic’s here?

Any Paramedic’s here?
I want to get into the career how can I start?

WTF HELP ME IT HURTS LIKE HELL!

The first step is a semester long EMT-B(basic) class with clinicals, easy as hell.

KEK ! I fucking love this site :’)

No motherfucking way you did it....
HAHAHAHA YOU REALLY DID IT?!!!

He's double jointed thats natural lol

can you be any more of a samefag

This maneuver is called Finklestein's test. All it does is test for de Quervain's tenosynovitis. I don't know why you retards sperg out about this.

Depends on your country.
You either have to be a medicine student that needs money or you have to start with an enormous amount of volunteer work for the Red Cross and start by simply driving old people to the hospital.

Wrong

Correct

WHAT THE FUCK
HOW DO I FIX THIS, CAN'T MOVE IT
IT FUCKING HURTS

You are actually autistic, you’re double jointed, stop pretending anything hurts faggot.

you arent even trying

Apply to a city fire department that also does EMS training

I went through a 4 month fire course and a 2 month EMT-B course that my city paid for and paid me while I was in classes

After that, our department requires us to be paramedics within 3 years of shift date, the state of Texas waives my tuition because I'm a firefighter and I go to school Wednesdays and Thursdays for a little over a year

On-duty paramedic/firefighter here. Will answer questions as long as I don't get a call.

so it hurts real fucking bad, but you still had time to rename it to "thumb"?????
interesting keyboard tho
is it mechanic??

what the fuck are you talking about, it fucking snapped and hurts like a motherfucker.

Off duty fire/paramedic here, will answer questions missed by this dude

In Texas

razer blackwidow chroma tournament edition
yes, mechanical.

That's quite a mouthful for a fucking keyboard.

noice

timestamp or gtfo

...

fuck yeah it is, but it's great.
RGB as fuck and clicky as fuck.

Are poor black/mexican people really the downfall of healthcare?

I'm sure it's nice. Any criticisms? I'm going to need a new keyboard soon.

OP here, just need to know the first steps to becoming a Paramedic step by step if possible but not necessary, also based off your experiences would you recommend this career choice?

Not unless you're absolutely positive that you're incapable of feeling.

Get your RN instead, that's just my opinion. Otherwise look at nearby community colleges for paramedic programs. Most require that you take the EMT class before being accepted into the program, at least around here.

Either go to a college and enroll, or find a local place that gives classes

In Killeen, we have a place that gives day and evening classes, $900 and like a 90% pass rate.

Or find a fire department that accepts applications from uncertified people, because that means they will certify you.

I went the second route because I couldn't afford $900. I applied to Killeen, took a civil service test, took a physical, waited about 5 months for my interview, started Fire academy in Jan, then it transitioned into EMT training for 2 months, then went on shift

Then in August I started paramedic school at a college, which my city pays for

If you're in Canada. Don't be a paramedic. Huge fucking pain in the ass to get his because the market is totally oversaturated with new graduates. Hirings are like 25 people a year unless it's Toronto. If you're Brown, black, non-white or a woman, you get dibs on at least 65% of positions for the sake of progressivism. It's expensive. You'll be part time on call for years. The pay is alright though.

If you're in the USA, don't. There's plenty of positions available because the pay is garbage. The employers are garbage. The employers test you like garbage. The trash you pick up is garbage.

Anywhere you go, it's pretty dead end. Almost no room to move up because there's basically no where to move up to.

uhm, not really.
>tournament edition btw means no numpad
I basically just play cs with the keyboard, so more realestate to move my mouse around like a autistic fuck.

As far as criticisms go.. the razer logo on the front is kinda hard to fix so it matches weird RGB patterns and effects, other than that, not really anything.
It's razers own switches, they're not as clicky as some, which is a great thing IMO, you don't wake up the whole neighborhood just goinf to pornhub..

Greatest keyboard i've ever had.
had it for like a year now, still works perfectly.

I think just poor people in general, since they don't pay and don't feel bad for wasting resources

I never realized people call 911 for stupid shit. I've had calls for tooth pain, anxiety, stubbed toes, cat scratches, chapped lips, dry mouth, sore legs from walking, suicidal thoughts, to refill a prescription, and other shit

Work in a fire department that does EMS

Any stand alone service pays poorly

I make 4k a month starting, before incentives such as just being a paramedic is an extra 300 a month, every time I ride the ambulance it's an extra $50 a shift

Pls just die

navy corpsman. awesome gig when your not deployed.

Most colleges have an EMT-B class with little or no pre-reqs. All you need to do is pick the school you would want to do it at, or through. Although schools facilitate the program the actual classes can sometimes be off-site, like at a hospital. EMS systems are split up by zones that center around hospitals; figuring out which local system has the best classes/prestige/facilities is worth the time. As your reputation umogsnt your peers starting out will be determined by which hospital system you graduate from (mostly determined by difficulty).

If you have a good sense of direction on the road and not worried about all of the different bodily fluids its a great gig

aww thank god I wasn't dumb enough to go full throttle.
Good job, OP!

New zeland

Paramedics are faggots

Laughable training, shit pay, and zero respect from actual healthcare professionals.

Its pure cringe to see them come into the ER or onto a scene and act like super important faggots eager to be important.

>prestige
>emt

Pick one

I work fire, and this is completely true
