Does it have 600000000000 dead?

It has footage of locals saying "yeah, we knew, and so what?".

There's also an 'interview' with a former officer who doesn't know how to react when somebody asks him about work camps, so he just stops serving beers and starts chain smoking.

He probably knew that he would be arrested if he went on record telling the truth (that it was just labour camps and there were no gas chambers)

An interesting experience to sit and watch in one or a couple of sittings. Has a lot of critics. Lots of perspective onto the victims lived experiences. Too much time wasted listening to the translator.

In freshman year, it was required viewing and our entire semester was going to be based on writing papers about it. I dropped the class immediately.

"History of WWII" my ass, if it was going to be a class entirely about the Holocaust somebody should have put that in the course description.

>things that never happened

What are some other TREBLINKA-core kinos?

I'm planning to watch it soon, what would you consider to be optimal speed? 1.25 or 1.5 or 2? I usually watch slow films at 1.33.

Speeding movies up? What the fuck is wrong with you?

Reminder: literally no Nazi ever denied the holocaust, but to rather the extent of their participation.

>labour camps and no gas chambers
>the thousands who corroborate this are just conspiring
And did you forget about the open-air shootings, or is that all fake too?

>I found “Shoah” logy and exhausting right from the start, and when it had been going on for an hour or longer I was squirming restlessly, my attention slackening

>The heart of his obsession appears to be to show you that the Gentiles will do it to the Jews again if they get a chance.
“Shoah” is a long moan. It’s saying, “We’ve always been oppressed, and we’ll be oppressed again.”

- Based Pauline Kael

>“We’ve always been oppressed

HMMM wonder if there's a reason for that.

The pace is deliberate and is the intent of the filmmaker. Watch it as it's intended.
kek pic related is fake

I don't see any point in making up that story, there's nothing particularly exciting about dropping a class. I just didn't want to risk my grade on my understanding of one movie.

>he believes in the typhoid meme

% of the top 1% wealthy of the world are Jewish

Yeah that isn't true you lying shill.

>holocaust denier calling anyone else stupid

>typhoid
More died of starvation than typhoid. But hey, Jewish lies and conspiracy and stuff, right?

>the burden is on YOU to disprove my crackpot conspiracy theories

>looking for facts

You're looking for validation of your severe brainwashing, not facts.

Where's your proof of this dumb fuck

sure is films and television

Link to her review?

>Nazi's didn't round up and execute 100,000s of Russians either

>accepts climate change
>denies holocaust
... interesting combo

Nazis are weird like that. Hitler was a vegetarian (or at least sympathetic to the idea) but had no problem slaughtering millions of people.

>clearly representing bodies with typhoid
It's not clear to me. Care to edify me, Dr.? And what about the countless other photographs and films that provide ample evidence of starving people, both living and dead?

>asking for more bait
Are you stupid or something?

>everyone must be a autist like me who follows debate rules while rigorously proving an argument on an anonymous capeshit board
topkek friendo

I wish Sup Forumsacks would stay on their own board.

It shoah is good

...

You Shoah are a terrible person.

>the bombing of transportation routes were the cause of hundreds of thousands of Jews dying of starvation
Interesting, the SS were doing very well for themselves... THRIVING even. And good luck proving that privation on that massive scale was simply due to inaccessible routes.

>there is no evidence of
This is what you choose to believe, because you're an anti-semite who cherrypicks -- it's really that simple. And I'll reiterate: No Nazi ever denied the Holocaust.

in the book "Hooked"

those quotes were just cited in some article disagreeing with her

I didn't know Criterion started doing the fantasy genre.

Is holocaust denial a meme?

the leading nazis supported a wacky pseudo-scientific theory about the universe being made from ice, and all natural phenomena being derived from this ice universe freezing and unfreezing. it came to some austrian kook in a dream and hitler was into it.

>show me your source
Oh, I see, you suddenly need sources whenever someone makes a claim that doesn't coincide with your narrative.

>hundreds of thousands died of starvation because of inaccessible routes
No source
>the bodies in the photo all died of typhoid
No source
>locals only admitted their knowledge of the genocide because they feared persecution
No source. No evidence. Pure speculation, but hey, it's OK if it refutes those scheming kykes.

I made a claim. Now go ahead and find me the records of Nazis that denied the Holocaust. It works both ways.

of course. the specific type of denial happening itt (david irving-style) is pretty much an internet-only phenomenon as david irving managed to become ostracized both by legit historians AND by serious neonazis, but still has internet fanboys that post his shit everywhere.

come novembe 9 i expect some of them to blow their heads in shame

A lot of German citizens were homeless and starving due to strategic bombings near the end of the war, too.

Homelessness became rampant.

There are literally journal entries from German soldiers detailing their remorse for participating in the genocide. And no, I didn't make it up, however, I should have specified *on record*.

This is true, but the vast majority did not end up like the emaciated bodies tossed into massive trenches.

If you're struggling to feed your own people, what chance in hell are slave labor and pows going to have?

I was like you until I watched Greed, Fanny and Alexander and Hiroshima mon amour. And watching one film a day became a mandatory. I don't speed up capeshit you know.

You're misrepresenting my position, nigga.

1.5 then.

there are also ss reports where they complain about common soldiers talking about genocide to their families when on leave, so not only was the genocide happening, knowledge of it was incredibly common.

>knowledge of it was incredibly common

Sauce? As far as I am aware, they tried to keep as mum as possible on the matter, in writing and otherwise.

MUH SIX GORILLION

he has called out soros twice

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocaust_denial

Totally fake, that guy isn't circumcised so he can't be Jewish

Ah, thankfully, they only died of typhoid after being forcefully yanked from the lives they had, their possessions confiscated, and their basic rights as citizens and humans trampled on.
Truly, those Nazis weren't so bad at all!

>it's a Sup Forums bait thread

whenever a holocaust movies gets discussed here it ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS fucking ends up as a holocaust denial thread.

what the fuck is wrong with you Sup Forumstards? a massive genocide documented with thousands of witnesses and you still deny this heinous crime since its doesn't fit your narrative of muh perfect germany and my hitler

FACT: NAZIS ARE FUCKING MONSTERS

deal with it. you can't change history retard

>Another pol delusion thread about good film

missing a few more zeros

I'm simply acknowledging the fact that hundreds of thousands died of starvation, largely because they were considered subhuman and unworthy of care. And calling them slaves and POW's doesn't exactly help your case.

Sure, not all of the Jews died in open-air shootings and gas chambers. No Jew would disagree.

>NAZIS
Not every national socialist german person was aware or even part of the holocaust

whats the source for your lovely webm

Not all nazis

>good

Generation War

Shoah's good, but what would a giga plebeian know about it

Hehehehhheee it was all (((the Jews))) amirite?

Nothing special about it. It just another shoah

My grandmother used to live above a Jewish family during the war. One day, she came home, and the family had collectively committed suicide out of fear for the camps. Ironically, they did this by gassing themselves by cutting the hose for their gas furnace. This was in 1942 I believe.
The camps officially didn't exist, but rumours of their existence became pretty widespread at some point, especially in the occupied countries.

they certainly tried to, but the scale of it was too vast to conceal. the sheer number of people involved makes secrecy impossible. the ss alone had a over million members.

according to evans, "third reich at war":
>The Security Service of the SS reported in March 1942 that soldiers returning from Poland were talking openly about how the Jews were being killed there in large numbers. The Nazi Party Chancellery complained on 9 October 1942 that ‘discussions’ about ‘ “very harsh measures” against the Jews, particularly in the Eastern Territories’ were ‘being spread by men on leave from the various units deployed in the east, who have themselves had the opportunity to observe such measures’.

the sources he gives for the reports are, respecitvely:

>Otto Dov Kulka and Eberhard J̈ckel (eds.), Die Juden in den Geheimen NS-STIMMUNGSBERICHTEN 1933-1945 (D̈sseldorf, 2004), 489 (NSDAP Meinberg, March 1942).
>Peter Longerich, ‘Davon haben wir nichts gewusst!’ Die Deutschen und die Judenverfolgung 1933-1945 (Munich, 2006), 253-4.

also the contemporary diary of victor klemperer:

>On 16 March 1942 his diary mentioned for the first time ‘Auschwitz (or something like it), near Königshütte in Upper Silesia, mentioned as the most dreadful concentration camp’. By October 1942 he was referring to it as a ‘swift-working slaughterhouse’. ‘The will to extermination is growing all the time,’ he noted at the end of August 1942. The mass murders in Auschwitz and elsewhere had, he noted, ‘now been reported too frequently, and by too many consistent Aryan sources, for it to be a legend’.

this is a borderline homeless german jew that has no inside info whatsoever so common people knew about auschwitz for sure

And what "case" is it that I'm making?

I was only interjecting to point out that a thriving SS is irrelevant when the citizenry itself is suffering food shortages. And ergo, those in camps suffering worst is no surprise all things considered.

IT WAS REAL IN MY MIND

And the Japs were interned because the US was at war with Japan, not because the US wanted to eradicate the Japanese from existence. The Japanese internment camps were afwul, but on an entirely different level.

Not a sauce.

Thanks, m8.

....and my father works for nintendo

Nobody believes this story user

True it's not proof, but something to consider nonetheless. People like and don't quite understand the impact WWII had on people, and why people react so emotionally when topics like the Holocaust are brought up. That suicide sure influenced my grandmother for the rest of her life, and by extent, my mother and my aunts as well.

>I just wanted to interject to point out a relatively trivial detail
If you're not a Holocaust deniar, perhaps it's best you just stay the fuck out of it. But if you're chalking up all (or even most) of the deaths to simple privation, I think I understand where you're coming from.

It wasn't trivial. You said the SS was thriving as if to prove starvation was deliberate, whereas I was stating that resources being strained in general from bombings, were then especially limited, if not nonexistent to those in camps (or as you say, privation) leading to starvation to the extent as seen in that picture.

No need to start acting cunty about it.

Do you realize where you are? Don't waste your breath.

1. They were not POW's
2. Yes, they WERE slaves
3. They were held against their will and stripped of any freedom to attempt to improve their conditions
4. More than ample evidence that they were treated as subhuman filth

So yes, I'd say commenting on the fact that not all of them were FORCED to starve is pretty fucking trivial.

>those who deny something that is drilled into their heads from a very young age are brainwashed

Strawman. None of these points have anything to do with a deliberate action to starve those in camps en masse, which is the basis of our discussion, and exactly what you were alluding to early.

But hey, I'll let you have it. You seem really emotional about this.

yes, the promise of stepping out of the world of malicious illusion and into a transcendent truth is a very common brainwashing technique used by scams and cults, among others.

This is absolutely not the entire basis of my argument, but then again, you interjected... so I'll let it slide.

Uh huh, so tell me have you questioned your belief and done research on it?
Mind you I'm not a denier, but it's a fact that most non-deniers just believe because they were told to.

Greatest fantasy film ever made.

Ok, but they're just a label and a lot if trash slips through. Also, I worked for my Nomura movies when I was a kid, now they j7st hand em out.

>b-b-but the germans dindu nuffin!
>honorable!!!!

>gassing international conspiratorial rats bent on destruction
>somehow not Honorable

ok.

but user, they never gassed themselves

>Claude Lanzmann's 9-hour-and-23-minute documentary epic is made up of interviews with people who have knowledge of the Nazi extermination centers--whether as slave laborers, railroad workers, technicians, bureaucrats, or just onlookers. The film has fine, painful moments, and it's widely regarded as a masterpiece. But some may feel that it lacks the moral complexity of a great work, and may also find it logy and diffuse, and exhausting right from the start.

I like Pauline Kael a lot but

>Holocaust movie
>moral complexity

stupid

and it is a masterpiece

>it is a masterpiece

stay pleb

considering the Jews offered little to no resistance and happily followed direction into the gas chamber, they kind of did in an indirect way.

Jews should be exterminated

>The same day[23] I saw my first horror camp. It was near the town of Gotha. I have never been able to describe my emotional reactions when I first came face to face with indisputable evidence of Nazi brutality and ruthless disregard of every shred of decency. Up to that time I had known about it only generally or through secondary sources. I am certain however, that I have never at any time experienced an equal sense of shock.

>I visited every nook and cranny of the camp because I felt it my duty to be in a position from then on to testify at first hand about these things in case there ever grew up at home the belief or assumption that "the stories of Nazi brutality were just propaganda". Some members of the visiting party were unable to go through with the ordeal. I not only did so but as soon as I returned to Patton's headquarters that evening I sent communications to both Washington and London, urging the two governments to send instantly to Germany a random group of newspaper editors and representative groups from the national legislatures. I felt that the evidence should be immediately placed before the American and the British publics in a fashion that would leave no room for cynical doubt.[24]

t. Dwight D. Eisenhower

>He was disgusted by their behavior in the camps for Displaced Persons (DP's) which the Americans built for them and even more disgusted by the way they behaved when they were housed in German hospitals and private homes. He observed with horror that "these people do not understand toilets and refuse to use them except as repositories for tin cans, garbage, and refuse . . . They decline, where practicable, to use latrines, preferring to relieve themselves on the floor."

>"where, although room existed, the Jews were crowded together to an appalling extent, and in practically every room there was a pile of garbage in one corner which was also used as a latrine. The Jews were only forced to desist from their nastiness and clean up the mess by the threat of the butt ends of rifles. Of course, I know the expression 'lost tribes of Israel' applied to the tribes which disappeared -- not to the tribe of Judah from which the current sons of bitches are descended. However, it is my personal opinion that this too is a lost tribe -- lost to all decency."

>Patton's initial impressions of the Jews were not improved when he attended a Jewish religious service at Eisenhower's insistence. His diary entry for September 17, 1945, reads in part:

>"This happened to be the feast of Yom Kippur, so they were all collected in a large, wooden building, which they called a synagogue. It behooved General Eisenhower to make a speech to them. We entered the synagogue, which was packed with the greatest stinking bunch of humanity I have ever seen. When we got about halfway up, the head rabbi, who was dressed in a fur hat similar to that worn by Henry VIII of England and in a surplice heavily embroidered and very filthy, came down and met the General . . . The smell was so terrible that I almost fainted and actually about three hours later lost my lunch as the result of remembering it."

-Diaries of General George S. Patton
