I think their music is garbage. Bland and unimaginative garbage
I think they are pretty bland sounding but I don't hate them
Love that album. The National sound a bit alike
just listen to television man
What kind of music do you like?
I will check them out
Thanks
Good music you idiot.
The Joy Division comparisons were over-exaggerated.
I agree.
>I think Turn On The Bright Lights is one of the best albums in history.
i think its one of the most overrated albums in history.
usually ppl who say this haven't explored new wave/post-punk much
which is fine anyway
first 5 songs are great. then its full of ups and downs
their discog is pretty shit besides this release also.
I love this album, OP. Check out Antics by them, it's not as cold sounding but it's still good. Check out The National, the Swedish band The Exploding Boy's debut, and the Chameleons.
>usually ppl who say this haven't explored new wave/post-punk much
Could you recomend some music or artist you think are better?
>first 5 songs are great. then its full of ups and downs
I agree. Is not perfect, but for some reason I love the atmosphere of every song
>their discog is pretty shit besides this release also.
I used to think that way, but now I love half of Antics, and Our Love To Admire has some kind of nice vibe to it that is pretty enjoyable. Plus, The Lighthouse is a beautiful song.
Thanks, they sound really nice

you'll prob think most of these are shit on 1st listen. but i used to think TOTBL was the best shit ever till i went deeper into the genre. they benefit more from having a modern sound thats more cleaner than the guys back in the day.
also The Chameleons
Well, thanks
I will listen to them
Not a fan of older sounds, but is good to taste new things
Bloc Party and We Were Promised Jetpacks
definitely check out their album Antics if you haven't yet tho
I did listen Antics, i liked too
Although not as much
I also like Bloc Party, but I have never heard We Were Promised Jetpacks
USA had Interpol
Britain had Bloc Party
Ireland had We Were Promised Jetpacks
music that makes you think. music for intellectuals. stuff like radiohead
This is my favourite album of all time. I made a post-punk revival flowchart if you want it.
Yes please :0
I can see someone actually posting this unironically.
Heh, nice try troll.
POST IT!POST IT!POST IT!POST IT!
Ireland had a Scottish band?
That's a good list you got there my fellow black person
The Sound was also Second Layer
In Camera is always overlooked, they were a very important band, similar to PIL and JD but more agressive
The Chameleons has a lot of Interpol guitar sound
Listen to the very first Modern English, before they went mainstream, you'll see that Interpol copied them, they also copied Joseph K.
rec me some mope rock guys
preferably more similar to El Pintor than TOTBL
see this shit tell me this isn't like Interpol
