memes didn't work like that back then

Explain oldfag bro

THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US

10 years ago memes were things only exclusive to and birthed from Sup Forums and other similar sites. taking a picture and put lines of text on it didn't automatically make it a 'meme'. A meme was a widespread image that everyone online recognized like the troll face or that guy from pimp my ride that said "yo dawg" or calling gamester and asking them for battle toads. Everything has went to shit.

Yes but LOST for example had a shitton of memes

but no one called them memes. it is now a meme to call image macros memes.

Mmm yeah and verticals, where the creativity came from each user's input instead of just slamming the one phrase over and over.
:^)

...

But had 24 something like that?
What were the 24 threads like.

Post yfw jack raped the refugee girl and Sup Forums lost it

They were containment threads like these /big brother/ generals

tell me about this meme

explain how I have no idea what you're posting about

24 debuted before Sup Forums existed. 24's most critically acclaimed season (5), was around when "memes" were barely even things, and Sup Forums wasn't even around.

Recently, season 9 was pretty meme heavy with THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US and others. Lots of webm goodies with that scene, and throwing Caitlyn Stark out the windu.

Every once in a while there is a nostalgia 24 thread that takes off into hundreds of posts (most of them die after 5 or so), filled with memes, character tiers, season rankings, quotes, etc.

Damn you're right, it came out in 2001, Where did the time go?

so he's asking what shitposting like was back then

why do fat fucks have to be such autists holy shit

Well, OP, you're about to find out :^)

How fucking pathetic and out of touch and NEW do you have to be to ask 'hey guys, what were the MEMES like back then lol'

Newsflash fuckstick, the whole 'dank meme' 'rare meme' shit is ironic, people are laughing at you if you think there's some sort of fucking inherent value to the shitty regurgitated catchphrases and 'funny pictures' that get shit out incessantly these days

I have never told someone to go back to 9gag or whatever shitbag site they rolled in from before but you're pushin me over the fuckin line

ok big tough fatass

>Starechat.com
Do you wipe your ass after you shit?

Wait... wait are we getting a Jack Blackuer????

It was ironic, now I think most people here are genuine retards who like memes

I love memes

m.youtube.com/watch?v=oDAA2Ih4XAs

>Jack is Black

me too bro, me too.

memes are the only reason I stick it out with the fat socially inept retards on this website

why

PATCH ME THROUGH TO THE PRESIDENT

GODDAMMIT CHLOE WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME

Memes offer high-intensity absurdity and a quick laugh. And I enjoy laughing

those memes you mentioned are all shit

shadap chink ima chink u down

It's not Jack but a cash-in using the name and the concept.

>tfw about to be killed
>ctu chopper comes around the corner shoots the bad guys
>tf

>tfw Sup Forums was born too late for cougarposting

THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US

>there will never be another 24 live thread on Sup Forums again

What was this guy's problem?

>tfw 24 ends with Jack in the Gulag
>he will never reunite with his family and meet his grandson
>no closure with Tony
>he will never marry Chloe

JACK BAUER

HE'S COMING FOR ME

>Chloe

That's a funny way of spelling "Kate Morgan".

Ooops. The keys are like just next to each other.

kys ugly shitters

>he will be repeatedly tortured every day in the cold gulag until his body and mind gives out

Those are image macros you shithead, he wants to know about memes, a la baneposting, he wants to know what the cultural circulation on Sup Forums surrounding 24 was like

WE

the morale of the story is that russia always wins I guess
pretty wreckless

WUZ useless characters

>useless

FUCK YOU

Tony Almeida is coming back tho

THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US posting was a great time.

THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US

I might give it a shot since based Tony is coming back.

Still extremely sad Tony didn't show up in LAD.

SHE DIDN'T FLY SO GOOD

Nah.

They announced for the new series that there will be no returning characters. It's in the same continuity and takes place after LAD, but otherwise it's just passing mentions of previous events.

>Still extremely sad Tony didn't show up in LAD.

He did, in the DVD extras.

>They announced for the new series that there will be no returning characters.

Fucking google it next time, fucko

slashfilm.com/tony-almeida-in-24-legacy/

Tony had better things to do than shoot chavs in London

They just announced it bro

Fuck. Now I'm interested.

I never liked Tony that much 2bh.

>yfw Tony's role in the new show is to shit all over the new lead and compare him to Jack constantly

The first guy is a very flat character, no defects, no personality.
His brother goes to shit when he becomes the least believable president ever, too young, always whispering, no stage presence.
Every other president is better.
At least that family brought us the evil wife.

He was an intentional asshole in S1 because the whole point was to make the audience feel that he was the rat. After that he was pure bro mode.

Black Bauer
Jaquan Bauer
Dindu operator
Star Wars guy

That part in the trailer where he uses a rolling pipe as cover while capping towelheads was good at least.

I think season 7 made him unlikable.

>I'm gonna kill innocents because muh dead wife!

Agent Freckles was a meme waifu. Everyone forgot about her after her season ended.

Here's your reply, faggot

She and chief kief always looked like they were having fun behind the scenes. When will Kiefer know true happiness, senpai?

Crying Jack always breaks my heart.

You shut your whore mouth, user.
David Palmer might have been black, but he was a damn fine president

;_;

the look in her eye, you just KNOW they banged

tripfag bat signal

Listen to his songs, he's full on depressed, I won't be surprised if he JUSTs himself to death in a few years.

WE

Epic post, friendo.

when did the word "meme" become a thing?

E V I A N

Also Designated Survivor won't last longer than one season.

>24: Legacy
Sounds gay af desu.

Why did she have to die?

Too good for this world.

Fuck, 7 season was the best.
>THAT drastic change of setting with DC
>some great new characters
>THAT Tony's storyline with him switching sides every two episode
>THAT John Vaught
>THAT finale (probably closest to catharsis thing I saw in TV shows)
All in all, I guess it was Washington that hooked me in.

Best on screen romance.

...

this is how I wanna die

...

>Jack will never put you in a chokehold and say "don't fight it".

youtube.com/watch?v=RVY6p4TjnsM

>not Jack x Bill Buchanan

>THEY'RE SHOOTING AT US!

Really fond times during this season

>ywn feel his raspy voice lull you to sleep to protect you from danger

JUST

>black president
>nobody gave a shit

I don't know why people go crazy over things like that happening today

I love season 7 (that White House siege is one of my favorite 24 set pieces), I just don't like Tony.

>THAT John Vaught

I don't even think he was playing a character for that role

CUTE

Some people actually think that Palmer's character somewhat helped Obama get elected, like it made the public more positive towards a black president.

Jack...Jack had a hard life.

should i skip season 5?
its boring as fuck
loved it until season 4 desu but its the same shit every season now
>moles everywhere
>nukes -biological bomb everywhere
>jack goes rogues again

Is 24 a good show to get into? Does it still stand up to this day? Been wanting to try it for a long time but never got round to it.
