It's not like your parents like you or anything. After you're 18, they say "fuck off". To your parents, you're just a parasite that feeds off them. Children are just a milestone and parents don't actually care about them, they just care about the other marital partner and their social status. You're not insane. You sound like your parents never really loved you, or you grew up in an abusive household. Your case isn't the norm. Parents are more than just parents, they're also human beings. You can't fault them for not wanting to be tied down to caring for their children when they are in the capacity to provide for themselves.
It doesn't mean that they don't love their children, or that parental love is a lie. Life isn't black and white. People do things because their emotional spectrum isn't black and white. Darwinism has very little to do with the psychological aspect of parenting. Parents are attached to their children regardless of how fucked up they are. Denying that everyone has emotions is simply you being intolerant of others because you're really just intolerant of a "good" you. A hypothetical you that is loved, cared for, and is successful with his interpersonal relationships.
