So we're all in agreement that this is the most well written sitcom ever, right?
So we're all in agreement that this is the most well written sitcom ever, right?
Never saw it. Seinfeld is probably better tho
I'm in full agreeance.
Seinfeld is better. If you don't think Frasier is on of the best though, it's pure pleb filter.
>we
kill yourself
Yeah this. I swear to god I've seen this bullshit for years and if you want a fucking "we" out of your shit go back to fucking reddit. I just can't stand this shit.
Cheers was comfier.
We'll it is def most better written than most
Pure kino.
>tfw was just about to post the same thing
>tfw when watching cheers right now
>it's a Frasier and Roz almost fuck episode
>Cheers
>Wings
>Frasier
It's a damn shame David Angell died in 9/11 because he was responsible for some god tier television programming.
WUZ
You make a good point, but I think Frasier was comfier because it was not only comfy but better written. I do like Cheers though.
90% of Frasier is just misunderstandings/miscommunication.
when you watch an episode, you've seen them all.
>be me, normie with wife, kids, job
>no good bars nearby, fearful of DUI, but wanting place to unwind
>every week night, after wife goes to work I make sure the kids are asleep
>lock myself in bedroom, turn out lights
>pull up a bar stool (not exact but similar) to bar height dresser with 3' brass rail installed and 42" HD TV atop
>pop "Cheers" disc in upconverting DVD player
>pour cold can of suds into my (correct) beer mug, some mini-pretzels into (correct) wooden bowl
>lean on bar, forget my worries, hang out with Sam, Woody, Cliff, Carla, Norm and the rest of the gang at Cheers and have some good laughs
>they do know my name, god bless 'em
>I call it "The Cheers Experience"
>C O M F Y A F
this
The corny sentimental scenes reduce the rewatch value by a lot. The cameo calls are also quite cringe worthy.
Overall Seinfeld is better.
No, this is
Maybe, but there was some genuine feelings in this show, loneliness, growing older, sadness. That episode where he was talking to the cab driver was one of the best, or the lifetime achievement award and he was talking to his old mentor
Lost (seasons 1 and 2)
CUNNYSSEURS
I've done similar. Feels good.
>tfw when just finished season 11
>Feels like (especially after beer two or three)...
he was on one of the planes damn it!
I'm not convinced. Frasier brought class and sophistication to Cheers, but what made Cheers great was how people from different walks of life came to one place and found common ground. Cheers is very american, and Frasier doesn't feel the same way.
>It's a Kelsey grammar is totally undrutilized as the best possible beast ever in xmen episode
That's not Top Gear.
fell apart towards the end
Correct. Ignore the trolls.
I don't see any trolls around here
>Would you care for a scotch Niles?
>No, actually I'm in a sherry mood tonight
>Sherry?!??!?!
I started watching every episode from the beginning recently but it got kinda weird pretty fast. Like Marla got knocked up by some rich dude who was in love with her but she told him to get lost but still demanded child support anyway. Then Norm decided was going to change his life around and go live on some island but instead was living in the back room of the bar without bathing for over a week being all depressed and shit. I couldn't laugh at that stuff.
But you're right. Most of the episodes are pretty comfy and I'll soldier through the weird ones I guess.
...
dubs confirm
Remember that one time when Marty Crane visited the Cheers bar, and Frasier didn't even recognize his own father?
You're a real trooper then, and no, I don't think it was intended to be a 100% yuckfest (thank god). I think the occasional pathos just ads to the world they're creating.
its the thinking mans seinfeld, so yes.
Frasier is more charismatic than Seinfeld. Kelsey Grammer is a fucking genuis.
Wasnt even the dad gay in real life?
this makes the show even better in retrospect considering Niles was a flamer.
Yes.
That goes without saying. Jerry was a fuck.
